We ordered via the kiosk. Made sure to select the correct veggies we wanted. Cabbage and carrots. We get home and all I have is broccoli. We called and they admitted that there was something wrong with their kiosk. They offered to replace it then but we were packing up and headed out of town. We let them know this and the manager said ok. So 1 1/2 later we go to get it replaced he refused to replace and refused to come to the phone. I am so disappointed with how they are handling the new self service machine. They say they implemented it to streamline the ordering process, but this is the second time I walk in with zero line (no one in front or behind me) and the manager guy points at the stupid self service machine..... The first time he made me use it even though I didn't want to and then right when I was finished someone came in and he took their order! And the same thing happened the second time.... None of the employees knew how to redeem this coupon nor did they even bother to try and help or validate or honor it. To the hiring manager/owner, I usually come here to pick up for ubereats occasionally and also to eat. The older gentleman is very thorough and is a very capable worker. I would hire him in a heartbeat if he was to apply (or even promote him to manager), long ago when i assisted in the hiring process at a restaurant. But there is a young man, who has an accent, who tries to provoke/bully and has a hard time doing simple orders when I clearly give him the name of the order. Not only do i show him the name/order on my phone, I find myself having to repeat the name since he likes to ask multiple times before he gives me the order. It's happened the last two visits now. I would fire him or make sure he is reprimanded for the sake of the business. Characters like him will do this to customers when he finds the opportunity as he has already done that with me. Fortunately, there are a few outside tables distributed for the customers of this and adjacent restaurants. I found the orange chicken to be crispy and dry. It was towards the end of the night, but still. A bit disappointed and I didn't eat it all. Their take on jalapeño chicken is actually pretty good. Spicy and a good sauce, which the rice soaked up. Summary: The price was fair for the quantity, but I think the limited space and corresponding reduced selection keeps interesting menu choices offered elsewhere to maybe one or two items, of which one display, didn't appeal. Friendly cashier though, but if they have a prime time, it's probably mid afternoon.

I do like the grilled double stuffed burritos and the fries are the only "go to" for me. But again since the service is slow I'm not eager to go there I rather go to Farmer boys.

I had a terrible experience at Waba Grill today. The employee was incredibly rude and practically forced us to use the self-service kiosk, even though we preferred to order in person. Their attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, making us feel unwelcome. The lack of customer service was shocking, and it completely ruined our visit. I loved this WaBa Grill! I'm new to the area and wanted to try it out. The food was fresh and flavorful. It's worth noting that unless specifically listed, they use dark meat chicken. Both plates came with 2 scoops of white rice, 1 scoop of macaroni salad, and 1 scoop of steamed veggies. Island Fire Chicken plate (6/10): my husband ordered this. I did not try it as I do not eat dark meat. The staff likened the spice level to higher than Sriracha. My husband was disappointed it wasn't as spicy as he was anticipating. Keep in mind spice is subjective. He wasn't a fan of the charred bits of chicken as the texture was too tough. He said he'd order it again, but it's nothing to rave home about. Grilled Chicken Breast plate (2/10): I ordered this as it was the only item in the menu with chicken breast (white meat). It was a disappointment. This is completely subjective, but to me, it was giving processed chicken. Like Tyson in the frozen food aisle. Also, it was not cut on the bias so it was difficult to eat. No shade to cabbage, but I expected more variety based on the menu photos. White Rice (10/10): The only saving grace was the rice. It was as expected. Simple, steamed, white rice. Hula Guava Pie (4/10): My job dropped (literally) when I saw it wrapped in plastic packaging. It was just sitting on the counter between the registers. I guess my greatest disappointment was in expecting it to be like the hand pies at Jollibees or McDonalds. They're obviously not made fresh in house, but they're warmed up and packaging nicely like a sweet little gift. So my expectations were shattered when I got this overpriced pop tart. You can certainly taste the guava on the inside, but it tastes quite processed. I'm a guava snob so I understand I'm being harsh. It did have the same texture as a pop tart. Plenty of parking outside. It's in a private lot in the same complex as a Target and Chick-fil-A. It felt a tad pricey. Without the coupon our total would have been closer to $38. With the coupon we paid $22.80 which felt like a great value since the portions are generous. I love that they have katsu and teriyaki sauces readily available. There's a pump with little cups so you can help yourself. The katsu sauce is vinegary which I'm not a fan of, but my husband enjoyed. We both enjoyed the teriyaki sauce. It wasn't too thin or too thick in texture. The staff was friendly and helpful. My seating recommendation if you dine, as soon as you walk in the door, sit on the right side. The left side is near the restroom (down the hall). I have a very sensitive nose and could smell the cleaning products. It's a non issue if you're not sensitive. Overall, I personally would not be back for myself, but husband enjoyed it. If you're into dark meat, or willing to try a different protein, give it a try and see for yourself. But personally, I've learned Hawaiian food is just not my cup of tea.
