It's healthy, fresh and convenient. Better alternative to a lot of "fast food" the service is nice and woman over the phone and at the register is sweet. One gripe that docks them 2 points and probably worth a call to the health department? They use the same knife to cut EVERYTHING! Your chicken, beef, veggies, fish everything is being scooped from the grill and toasted on a chopping board with the same knife. He's using the same knife to shred everything. No wipes in between. So ugh yeah that's a no go bruh. I suppose in the future one can ask them to use a different knife or clean the knife prior to use but it just seems like a unhygienic practice especially if someone's allergic. read more

Still impressed with the service and just whole ambiance of the location. I been to able 3-4 waba grills this is by far the cleanest and friendliest staff I've seen. That's a big plus in my book, if they don't look like they're having fun the vibe turns off right away. They're always smiling whenever I go. They've got a dope deal going on like a happy hour type deal only 8$!!!! It's always a steal when it's less than 10$ in my book. That's mad affordable and it's more than enough. Always satisfied with their orders. They're very quick when I do phone orders. I've even ordered at the location and my food is ready within 5 minutes. I appreciate their time efficiency especially when I'm really hungry during lunch hours. The lady is always polite and my food never disappoints. I'm so happy that a Waba has opened in Maywood! If I use to think that the Waba in Bell Gardens was close... this one is way closer to home and work... awesome!... and it has a TV! Ha! Anyhow, they've probably been in business less than a month. The location is great! Inside a shopping center right by Food 4 Less and Rite Aid. Plenty of parking space. The restaurant is a little bigger than the one in Bell Gardens (I think, well at least it appears to be). I love that they have the sauce station next to the soda station (yay! no traffic jam!). This review is based on my customer experience. Went in for a salmon bowl, as usual, I asked for no teriyaki sauce. Cashier tells me it's a 10 minute wait, which again, I'm used to. No biggie. - I don't mind waiting for food, when I know it's being done right. I get home to enjoy my bowl and as I start to eat, I notice they put the teriyaki sauce BUT WAIT (drum rolls) they flipped the fish so I wouldn't notice and "semi wiped" it. At this point I'm just like fine, we all have bad days maybe the cook forgot and it was too late to fix. I start eating and the fish is BURNT yes, the grill must have burnt pieces that hadn't been clean for the day so my fish taste burnt. I call to see, if maybe I can return the bowl and manager hands me over to some worker. As I'm explaining to the girl what's wrong with the bowl, I hear the manager in the background: "nomas quiere que le demos algo que le quemamos el pescado". so I told the girl wait a minute, why are you even dealing with this complain when she gets pay to deal with customers. Long story short, manager tells me that she doesn't take complains because she doesn't speak English -- not only do I speak Spanish. How in the world are you manager and can't deal with complains!!? Ugh. I really messed up for going here tonight. Worse part is, that it's always Minority communities where the bar gets drop for everything. The end.
