The restaurant, itself has a fairly large dining area if you opt to eat in. It is located in a pretty large shopping center that houses a Ralphs and Arby's, and there is able parking available here. Be aware they are closed on Sundays here. I was disappointed when I was craving a bowl and drove up to find the place dark on a Sunday. On my last visit, I came for dinner and ordered a combo #1 (a plate of teriyaki chicken & beef with brown rice, and "a side of fruit"). I have been coming to this establishment for a bit and until today the girl taking my order was nice at first and even repeated the order. When I checked my order it had chicken and I told her beef and even got the order repeated, even before I started telling her about the confusion she kept on saying you said chicken. Ahhh No lady I didn't. But at least they exchanged the food. But the lady wiped the lid and used the same lid(cross contamination) I told her to give me a new lid and she gets mad. It is a WaBa Grill. It serves rice with toppings. Due to the acoustics in the building it was not easy to communicate with and hear the cashier. I mostly heard the staff talking and preparing things in the kitchen and the radio sounded unintelligible. Either way, I managed to get my food properly. They have a fountain drink dispenser. I first heard about the location from a friend who complained to me about the service he received and figured I'd review the restaurant myself... I was totally amazed! I got the steak bowl with onions for lunch and it was huge, a great value, and the meat was very fresh and hot; unlike other flame broiled teriyaki bowl places that are located around Foothill Ranch. Although the cashiers seemed relatively new, the service was top notch... Following up on my friend who received the poor service, he actually emailed the store and received an apology and a generous invitation back. He is now a weekly customer, so they are commited to the very best in customer service and food quality. Pros: Big dining room and the owner is the cook. Cons: Closed on Sunday. I visit this location occasionally because it's right by my work. I usually get a Waba bowl. However, today I went and got a Waba Veggie bowl. When I got back to work; I was appalled at how little meat they gave me. I thought since I was getting veggies they would put less rice but that wasn't the case. The bowl is almost full of rice with a few veggies (almost all cabbage) and hardly any meat. I've complained about this issue in the past but this time was ridiculous. I'm weight lift and count calories, so I removed the meat from my bowl to weigh and the chicken & beef together was only 2.3 ounces. They claim this bowl has 50+ grams of protein but there is no way there is that much protein in 2.3 ounces of meat. Last time I'm coming here because of the portions they give you. I was going to stop in at Subway which is two doors down and noticed this place recently opened so decided to give it a try. The type of food and menu is like Flame Broiler where you can essentially get a teriyaki plate or bowl with rice and your choice of meat, with or without veggies, with or without green onions. They offered the standard fare of beef, chicken, and short ribs but I also saw the had salmon too which Flame Broiler doesn't have. So I ordered a basic chicken and veggie bowl with white rice and green onions which cost me $6.53 with tax. Not bad and priced about the same as Flame Broiler. Although it was all prepared well, it was just okay for me. I thought the chicken was less flavorful than FB and the hot sauce that you can get as a side was maybe a bit more vinegary than I like (or maybe just used to). The teriyaki sauce wasn't bad and maybe less sweet than the one at FB. For now, giving this place 3 stars just because what I had wouldn't be something I would necessarily crave and need to get again. I'll probably give them another try though and compare the short ribs and see how well the salmon comes out. I'm thinking FB has a slight edge for now. read more

We love this Waba Grill. The people working there are fantastic and the food is great and reasonably healthy. We probably eat here at least once per week. Since covid began they have been offering curbside pickup. It has been a lifesaver to pickup dinner and not have to get in and out of the car with my toddler. I order online and their rewards program is generous. We almost always have some kind of reward to use (i.e. free side of half an avocado, free beverage, free side of dumplings, free bowl, etc). read more

They'll pack on the rice and veggies but the meats they'll really set back on. I have to say that the staff is great and customer orientated.
