    Summer rolls and pork bao
    Jessica M.

Came here to grab a quick bite. I was greeted warmly and was served quickly. I ordered a Thai tea, spring rolls, and one bao. The pork on my boa had great flavor, the rolls were fresh, and the Thai tea tasted more like a chai tea. The staff was very friendly and the establishment was so clean and inviting. I can't wait to try other dishes.

We like this place as a fast food healthy option at lunch. However, every time we order the chicken in the bowls, there are little hairs all over it. I noticed it and now we can't help but wonder what are the hairs!! Can someone let us know? Thanks!

great service! the ladies working here were so very kind! Pretty good pho, not the best but It still hit the spot!

Brought the whole family and we all loved it! The flavors were spot on, fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. I especially appreciated the pickled veggies, so good! The portions are generous. We had leftovers to take home. Staff was super friendly and accommodating, especially with food allergies and vegan options. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Highly recommend!

The first time I visited Vui's Kitchen was this same location in Gallatin. It was delicious. So disappointed with the restaurant today. When I first walked in it smelled like raw sewage. Against my better judgment, I ordered anyway and got it to go. I did tell the girl at the counter and she gave me a look like I was crazy. I ordered the rice bowl with chicken and the chicken did not look great, but I went ahead and started eating it only to find that there were many hairs in it. It look like whoever cooked the food had a beard and didn't cover it. Never going back.

How was first greeted by young lady named Savannah with an amazing smile. She began telling me about some of their dishes and bowls. I ordered the Vui's original Pho with the chicken. Savannah was back with my food faster than I had expected. I have to say it is something I would not ordinarily have ordered but it was amazingly delicious. There was a young man named Justin who came to my table several times to make sure everything was going well. His last trip to my table and bought me some rice tapioca pudding to try. It was delicious also! I will most definitely be coming back here.

I've been eating the chicken and rice kids bowl with a side of pad Thai noodles on repeat! Love that they have a drive thru also for convenience

Food was fresh but customers need to be wary if they have allergies such as peanuts which are in certain sauces. My mother was unaware but we caught it in time. Service was good and quick to fix her spring roll which she ordered no protein due to being allergic to shrimp. The dine in area was quaint but spacious with comfortable bench seating.

Now... if only I could remember where I am staying. LOL. Just kidding! I made it. I got so lit in Japanese whiskey flights that I ordered enough food for two people. The "Flight to Tokyo" lived up to its namesake tremendously. That dang whiskey is wicked man. Combined with the beers that go down like water and you may be like me.... Wasted Soup dumplings are so damn cool. It's also either an engineering marvel or some sort of biblical miracle. How is the soup born inside the little dumpling?? So many questions!! I had some here and they were sure tasty!! I also had some killer crispy fried pork belly and some kick ass twice fried Korean wings!! Pork belly had tremendous umami flavors and was sticky sweet and yummy all at once! Loved it! But then came the Star.... I love chicken wings as much as I love life! That my friend, is a whole fucking lot!! I am more full of myself than you could possibly imagine. I loved these particular chicken wings a little more than life. I walked through downtown Nashville alone, on a random weeknight, just to eat these wings because I saw them on Yelp. I had already eaten dinner at Eddie V's earlier in the evening, but these wings called me from more than a mile away... Come eat me, Adam.... Is all I could hear after I saw others pictures of the wings.... Shhhh. Wings. I can't. But you must, said the wings.... I can't, I have no transportation.... You have two feet still, the wings said... Guess who won that argument? '26 - 23

The ambience is bright and energetic, with fun neon signs and decor. The space feels open and spacious with plenty of seating. We started our night with the Pork Belly Bao Buns, but since they were out of pork belly, we tried the Chinese BBQ Pork instead. I wasn't upset because they were phenomenal. The Soup Dumplings were just as amazing, but the Roti Canai (Malaysian flatbreads with curry sauce) stole the show. The curry was rich with the perfect amount of spice. You're missing out if you skip the appetizers here. For my entrée, I ordered the Hong Kong Wonton Noodle Soup, and all I can say is wow. The broth and tender wontons were the perfect combination. My boyfriend loved his Pad Thai as well, and the only downside was the portion size for the price. I want to give a huge shoutout to our server, Jaylen, for making the experience top-notch. He was incredibly attentive, patient, and offered great recommendations through the night. Hawkers is on my list for date nights, ladies' nights, or a casual evening out (especially for drinks and appetizers!)

Everything was delicious. My favorite was the yellow sashimi. I could eat more of that! Our server was Kyler and he was fantastic. He made sure we were taken care of and at the end of the night, ordered the house sake, which Kyler highly recommended, I enjoyed the layout of the restaurant and the dark wood and bar area. It wasn't crowded on a Thursday night which I enjoyed having the restaurant to ourselves, at least it looked that way since we were in the back area across from the bar. It rivals the high-end sushi restaurants in downtown Nashville, and in many ways, it beats them. The fish is consistently exceptionally fresh, the presentation is beautiful, and the restaurant is spotless every time. The staff is warm, attentive, and efficient -- food comes out quickly whether you're enjoying a sit-down dinner or stopping in on a tight schedule. Must-tries: * Avocado Bomb -- unique, stunning, and packed with flavor. * Tuna Lover Roll -- pro tip: ask for the crispy fried scallions (not listed anymore, but they'll add them if you ask -- and it takes the roll to the next level!). * Yellowtail Hamachi -- fresh, clean, and melt-in-your-mouth perfect. They also have fantastic lunch bento boxes -- ideal if you want a little bit of everything. Options like bulgogi, katsu, and chicken teriyaki make it easy to get a balanced, filling lunch on the go without sacrificing quality or flavor. Pricing is very fair for the quality -- not the cheapest spot in town, but you absolutely get what you pay for: premium ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and a consistently great dining experience. Whether it's date night, a family meal, a business lunch, or a quick midday sushi craving, Mari Ichi always delivers. Friendly service, fresh fish, fast kitchen, and consistently excellent food -- what more can you ask for? Can't wait for my next visit!

I experienced Maru Ichi as Maru Iyagi…read more Ordering (walkable retrieval) food online from my hotel in the early winter was harder than I thought. I knew I wanted something a little more elevated than fast food but nothing overly fancy (for which you should always do dine in). After striking out with my first choice, I came across Maru. I didn't know if it was related to the other Maru restaurants found around Middle Tennessee. I assumed it was (bad assumption? I'm asking) and, led by my good experience at Maru in East End, I made my way to Maru Iyagi.* Hoofing it, I took notice of how inviting the shopping center where the restaurant is located is. It was a reminder that Hendersonville has money (said in my best Quinta-before-*she*-had-money voice). Because of all the flim flammery involved in me looking for a restaurant, I ordered later than I'd planned. This was a mistake. Food workers don't like last minute orders. I get it. I was once one. I didn't like them. I walked in to a mostly empty dining room and bothered service. I get it. Not wanting to be (more of) a burden, I opted for fried rice rather than being so involved as to order sushi. I added shrimp (for protein) to my rice for an extra $3. I walked in, approached the hostess, asked for my order, was led to the bar area, got my food very quickly after that (ruh roh, Shaggy), thanked everyone profusely, and walked back to my hotel. The rice was... okay. Granted, it's fried rice and not a complicated order but I was a bit taken aback by how quickly it was ready. My $3 shrimp were small and hard to come by. This was not a meal made with love. Again, I get it. I've been there. Noted. If there's a next time, I'll be sure to get my order in early. The majority of customers seem to be fans. *Ichi.
