We usually enjoy the food but this time ordered and spent time picking out so many onions. 1/2 the container was onions.

For some reason our go to Chinese food place (Mr. Wok) was closed. We've eaten at China Spring before and weren't hugely impressed compared to Mr. Wok's, but we were craving Chinese. We called it in and arrived about 10 minutes later. They weren't too busy, but it seemed like the kitchen was backed up a bit so, we had about a 10 minute wait. No big deal. People that work there are friendly and courteous. There were plenty of condiments, forks and chopsticks, but there were zero napkins. Took our food home and despite the drive everything was hot and fresh. I had Bourbon Chicken (sauce on the side). He had Chicken Fried Rice. Another had Pork And Vegetables. Bourbon chicken was cooked perfectly. Juicy and tender. The sauce was SUPER sweet. His Chicken Fried Rice was pretty good too. The Pork And Mixed Vegetables was very good. Meat was nice and tender and the vegetables were good, but the sauce was a bit salty for their taste. All in all. We would go again.

Service was very poor. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The food was not good at all. Beware of this Cat shack.

The owners of the restaurant are very kind and go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. They even opened up a buffet when we asked for one, but it had to close because they did not have enough business to support it and too much food was going to waste. This is unfortunate because many of the items on the buffet were wonderful and not something you would order every day. We have watched their children grow up and now our working the family business themselves and doing a great job. We look forward to many more years of wonderful Chinese food that is so convenient to run and get any time they're open. we send a huge heartfelt, thank you to the owners for their 20 years of service and kindness, God bless!

I went back to my hotel room only to realize that I did not have the white rice that I ordered to go with it. I contacted the restaurant to let them know that my order was not complete and was advised that I could come back and pick up the rice or get a replacement the next day. When I went back I was only offered the white rice no shrimp but with two sodas to complement their mistake. The shrimp was dry and turning white and couldn't eat it even without the rice. Would not be going back there ever again.

I wanted to keep this place a secret but it is too good not to share with everyone. As you walk in…read morethe server instantly guides you to a table, each time I come the service is pretty quick and there is usually no wait. The prices are very reasonable & parking is not hard to find as it is located in a plaza with Kroger right next to it. Everything in the menu is worth trying. There is not a single thing I have ordered that I have regretted. When I first came here I would only order the seafood noddle soup. The flavor from that soup is something I have never experienced before and my taste buds have always been satisfied with that soup, but the more I go the more I try something new and each time I don't regret it! That's so rare for everything in a menu to hit?! Some other entrees I have tried are loved are the sweet and sour chicken, beef yaki udon, Thai basil fried rice, pad Thai noodles, and the Singapore beef mei fun noodles. The appetizers all are incredible too some of my favorites are the crab Rangoon's, coconut shrimp, scallion pancakes, and the shrimp shu mai. The Thai iced tea is a must here! I get it every single time I visit.

I ordered the coconut fried rice because I love coconut and thought it sounded delicious. Wrong. It was so bland and odd tasting. It wasn't so bad I couldn't eat it but I had to add some of my friends regular fried rice to it to make it enjoyable. Now on the veggie spring rolls. They're definitely frozen and not freshly made. I could tell because of how mushy they were. All in all it was a pretty disappointing meal. I think this place might be good for standard American Chinese but they missed the mark on the dishes I ordered. I'll stick with my usual thai spot for freshly made and seasoned food. I did takeout and the food was ready quickly... maybe another reason it wasn't good? Idk go at your own risk.

In reality, I have no idea how or why the health department has not closed this place. Having been involved in the food service industry in years past, I am pretty fussy about food handling. Storage, prep space, cooking & holding temps. This place has been far short of minimum. On one occasion we stopped in to grab a lunch special, this was when we learned the woman with the young child was no longer there. From the front counter we could see into the kitchen, where they had a large pile of raw chicken on the table they were taking from to make up assorted dishes in different woks. It was a hot day and there were flies in the place there is no way I could trust the food coming out of this place, we did not order food and have never been back. I really think the town & county should work on trying to get some new food establishments & grocery into the area. We have a massive lack of eateries, especially in regarding variety. Between Ashland City & Pleasant View (Cheatham County), there is probably over 2 dozen Mexican restaurants, but only 3 that were reasonably good, only 1 considered to be close to authentic. We have 2 bar & grills, a few chain pizza shops and a few bad attempts at a pizza shop here and a potentialy good choice aside from the weird hours they are open, the usual fast food offenders, Hardees, Burger King, McDonald's, we did just recently see a Waffle House open. We have an old H.G. Hill (they did a partial remodel about 2yrs ago), an old Food Lion, and a really old Save-A-Lot grocery store... There are a couple of saving graces... Thirsty Goat, a few restaurants in the Square of PV. But that's where it really about ends. Bottom line,

I went with crab Rangoon and pork lo mein. My husband didn't like the general tso. He said the one back home was better. I tried a bite of his. It was ok but nothing memorable. The crab Rangoon tasted stale. It wasn't good. Flavor was weird. Probably the worst I've ever had. Didn't realize how bad it could be. The lo mein looked like it would be delicious but it was pretty bland and lacking any kind of flavor. It was kind of dry. I can't even explain how that's possible. All in all I'd never try anything else from here. We ended up driving to a place 35 min away for our next Chinese food take out run.
