Shrimp w/lobster sauce combination-Fried rice and egg roll.
    Mike T.

Ok- here it is. Shrimp w/lobster sauce and the smallest egg roll I have ever seen in my life- quite tasty. Being that it was very good and at a decent price- the smaller portion size is quickly over looked. As I write this- I am full. Guess we will see in a couple hours-

Chicken and Broccoli with fried rice and egg roll.

When we want Asian take out food, this is where we go! Good portions for the cost. About a dozen tables/booths.

What I received was only the chicken and no beef or shrimp. When I called to complain the Chinese lady said it's what I ordered when it plainly wasn't. Also, the fried rice was like steamed white rice with no carrots or peas. I was raised that the customer was always right and to fix a problem when one arose. This place did not offer to do anything unless I brought the plate back. I told them I would but we only get 30 minutes for lunch so I had to eat what I got, like it or not. I won't be back to this "Blue Roof" Fortune Village restaurant because it's getting added to my banned list. China One is SO much consistently better!!!

I thought it was this place so today when I wanted some Chinese I called and ordered from here but once I pulled in a realized this wasn't the same place, but was hopefully it would be good. It was not. I'll mention the positives first. I called in my order while leaving Kroger. It was ready by the time I pulled into their parking lot. So it took maybe 3-4 min. The service was friendly and the food came out fast and hot. Unfortunately it was horrible. I ordered the crab angels and the fried wontons. The crab angels were super super salty. Inedibly salty. And very oniony. The fried wontons were on the opposite side of the spectrum where they were pretty bland and flavorless. I ate two of each item hoping that my first impression of them was wrong and trying to convince myself that they weren't as bad as I thought. But they were. I hate wasting food, or money, but I had to throw these away because I just could not eat them. Both were also extremely greasy. I could feel the oil in my arteries and pores. So that was $14 wasted. Maybe other things on their menu are better but I'm not willing to try it again. After eating food from the Ashland city Chinese restaurant I thought it was the worst I've ever had but this place was just as bad or actually worse. I think the place I liked was called china one after searching more following this mix up. So I'll try and remember to go there next time

The prices are very reasonable & parking is not hard to find as it is located in a plaza with Kroger right next to it. Everything in the menu is worth trying. There is not a single thing I have ordered that I have regretted. When I first came here I would only order the seafood noddle soup. The flavor from that soup is something I have never experienced before and my taste buds have always been satisfied with that soup, but the more I go the more I try something new and each time I don't regret it! That's so rare for everything in a menu to hit?! Some other entrees I have tried are loved are the sweet and sour chicken, beef yaki udon, Thai basil fried rice, pad Thai noodles, and the Singapore beef mei fun noodles. The appetizers all are incredible too some of my favorites are the crab Rangoon's, coconut shrimp, scallion pancakes, and the shrimp shu mai. The Thai iced tea is a must here! I get it every single time I visit.

Peking has quite the positive reviews overall so we decided to try them out by doing pick-up. It's so refreshing living in a town that everything is opened past 8pm. Our go-to Chinese restaurant back in NC closed at 7pm, so this was a nice treat. My husband went inside to get our order, which was made very quickly. The building definitely looks on the older side and parking is only one way, which was confusing at first. I ordered the pork fried rice, egg drop soup, and wonton soup for myself and my husband ordered chow mein, lo mein, and we shared beef with broccoli, something else I've been craving. The food in general was okay, some outstanding more than others. His lo mein was delicious and my egg drop soup was honestly the BEST egg drop soup I have ever had. It was more broth-y than the standard Chinese restaurant's version and it had a few carrot strips and green onions in it. The pork fried rice was probably the biggest let down. There were no veggies in it and have very little flavor. The wonton soup's broth was nice but the wontons themselves were borderline flavorless. It was very hit or miss with everything we ordered. My husband and I have both been having stomach cramps the past two days since ordering here, both day of and from leftovers. It's unfortunate but we will have to continue to look for our next go-to Chinese restaurant.

The vibe is speakeasy that's both intimate enough for a date but also welcoming for larger groups. It's the only restaurant in Nashville that is able to combine the authentic flavors of Chinese cuisine with a fun twist. I started to list my favorite dishes but realized it was almost the whole menu so I will break down my top three dishes by category: 1) Small dishes: Sourdough Scallion Pancakes, Char Siu Baby Back Ribs, Salt and Pepper Chicken wings 2) Large dishes: Whole Sizzled Fish, Pork Chop, Beef Chow Fun 3) Vegetables: Smashed Cucumbers, Baby Bok Choy, Chrysanthemum Peaches The Peking style duck is an absolute stand out!! They spend over a week preparing the duck and it makes super flavorful and unlike any other duck I've had. I love this place so much I even convinced my team to rent out the upstairs event space for a team meetup and it was perfect. We got the whole upstairs bars to ourselves for a private cocktail hour and they were able to push all the tables together so we could sit 20 people at one table. If you're looking for something unique and special, it can't get any better than Choy!!

We are celebrating a special occasion and felt so great choosing this place as a night to celebrate. We curated our own menu based on reviews online. We went with the scallion pancake, the shrimp fried rice, the baby back ribs, the smashed cucumbers, the bok choy, and mapo tofu as well as ice milk for dessert and a tequila cocktail. As you can see the presentation of all dishes were beautiful. The highlights included the shrimp fried rice with a savory rice and a great amount of shrimp, the yellowtail yusheng with a wasabi base that was absolutely delightful and the baby back ribs that fell off the bone and you wanted to savor every last bite. The ice milk for dessert was the move as it was nice and light to finish off a heavy dinner. We definitely will be back again for the ribs and vibes. Thank you for a special night Choy!
