We live in the Ashland…read morecity/pleasant view area and the one Chinese restaurant here was absolutely awful so the next time I ordered Chinese I tried a spot in Springfield. I thought it was this place so today when I wanted some Chinese I called and ordered from here but once I pulled in a realized this wasn't the same place, but was hopefully it would be good. It was not. I'll mention the positives first. I called in my order while leaving Kroger. It was ready by the time I pulled into their parking lot. So it took maybe 3-4 min. The service was friendly and the food came out fast and hot. Unfortunately it was horrible. I ordered the crab angels and the fried wontons. The crab angels were super super salty. Inedibly salty. And very oniony. The fried wontons were on the opposite side of the spectrum where they were pretty bland and flavorless. I ate two of each item hoping that my first impression of them was wrong and trying to convince myself that they weren't as bad as I thought. But they were. I hate wasting food, or money, but I had to throw these away because I just could not eat them. Both were also extremely greasy. I could feel the oil in my arteries and pores. So that was $14 wasted. Maybe other things on their menu are better but I'm not willing to try it again. After eating food from the Ashland city Chinese restaurant I thought it was the worst I've ever had but this place was just as bad or actually worse. I think the place I liked was called china one after searching more following this mix up. So I'll try and remember to go there next time

our family has been eating at China Spring ever since they opened the business in 2004. I believe…read morein the dozens of times that we've eaten there only had one dish that I did not like and that was not because of the quality it was because I did not like one of the ingredients. The owners of the restaurant are very kind and go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. They even opened up a buffet when we asked for one, but it had to close because they did not have enough business to support it and too much food was going to waste. This is unfortunate because many of the items on the buffet were wonderful and not something you would order every day. We have watched their children grow up and now our working the family business themselves and doing a great job. We look forward to many more years of wonderful Chinese food that is so convenient to run and get any time they're open. we send a huge heartfelt, thank you to the owners for their 20 years of service and kindness, God bless!

I went back to my hotel room only to realize that I did not have the white rice that I ordered to go with it. I contacted the restaurant to let them know that my order was not complete and was advised that I could come back and pick up the rice or get a replacement the next day. When I went back I was only offered the white rice no shrimp but with two sodas to complement their mistake. The shrimp was dry and turning white and couldn't eat it even without the rice. Would not be going back there ever again.

I wanted to keep this place a secret but it is too good not to share with everyone. As you walk in…read morethe server instantly guides you to a table, each time I come the service is pretty quick and there is usually no wait. The prices are very reasonable & parking is not hard to find as it is located in a plaza with Kroger right next to it. Everything in the menu is worth trying. There is not a single thing I have ordered that I have regretted. When I first came here I would only order the seafood noddle soup. The flavor from that soup is something I have never experienced before and my taste buds have always been satisfied with that soup, but the more I go the more I try something new and each time I don't regret it! That's so rare for everything in a menu to hit?! Some other entrees I have tried are loved are the sweet and sour chicken, beef yaki udon, Thai basil fried rice, pad Thai noodles, and the Singapore beef mei fun noodles. The appetizers all are incredible too some of my favorites are the crab Rangoon's, coconut shrimp, scallion pancakes, and the shrimp shu mai. The Thai iced tea is a must here! I get it every single time I visit.

I ordered the coconut fried rice because I love coconut and thought it sounded delicious. Wrong. It was so bland and odd tasting. It wasn't so bad I couldn't eat it but I had to add some of my friends regular fried rice to it to make it enjoyable. Now on the veggie spring rolls. They're definitely frozen and not freshly made. I could tell because of how mushy they were. All in all it was a pretty disappointing meal. I think this place might be good for standard American Chinese but they missed the mark on the dishes I ordered. I'll stick with my usual thai spot for freshly made and seasoned food. I did takeout and the food was ready quickly... maybe another reason it wasn't good? Idk go at your own risk.

We are celebrating a special occasion and felt so great choosing this place as a night to celebrate. We curated our own menu based on reviews online. We went with the scallion pancake, the shrimp fried rice, the baby back ribs, the smashed cucumbers, the bok choy, and mapo tofu as well as ice milk for dessert and a tequila cocktail. As you can see the presentation of all dishes were beautiful. The highlights included the shrimp fried rice with a savory rice and a great amount of shrimp, the yellowtail yusheng with a wasabi base that was absolutely delightful and the baby back ribs that fell off the bone and you wanted to savor every last bite. The ice milk for dessert was the move as it was nice and light to finish off a heavy dinner. We definitely will be back again for the ribs and vibes. Thank you for a special night Choy!

They boxed our food up and I love that there's a "coat check" for the boxed food. We came here to celebrate and they for sure celebrated us! And even let us try this drink at the end. The welcome drink was some unsweetened fruit (passion fruit and green tea?) tea and it was so refreshing, I asked for more! I also got the magic dragon cocktail that was really good. Peking duck: worth the hour wait! I appreciated our server explaining that this isn't the Beijing style Peking duck, but the duck was prepared for over a week and it was perfectly smoked and the flavors were amazing. It came with some wraps, fresh vegetables, and hoisin sauce and pate to make the perfect combo. To make it even better, I wish they gave a few more of the wraps because there's definitely a lot more meat. Smashed cucumbers: it sounds so basic but this was probably one of our favorite dishes because it was tasty and so refreshing. That crispy tofu skin was chef's kiss for toppings. Yellow tail yusheng: beautifully plated and the fish was beyond fresh. We thought the mustard was just a tad too strong, but still a good dish. Xinjiang lamb lomein: great portion and flavorful dish. The ground lamb was tasty and great mixed with the lomein noodles For dessert, I got the sorghum mai lai go, which was interesting as they drizzle baiju on it. So grateful they do free parking validation at the garage next door!
