I once wrote to Vue Management to complain about Vue in Romford. The seats were soaked in God-knows…read morewhat, the screens were covered in mess, there was popcorn everywhere, the projector was projecting wrong, there were balloons randomly in the theatre blocking the top corner of the screen. Their response was at least honest; "Unfortunately, due to the clientele in Romford it is difficult for us to maintain a consistently high quality" - and I believe them. The Vue in Romford is decent as Multiplexes go; but the problem comes when you find lots of kids who'd rather text each other across the room and make random turrets type noises than watch a movie. We used to avoid this by going to screenings at 11pm. But we found that although the kids were gone, their mess wasn't. I complained a much of times and to be fair to them, I got a few free tickets-- but it got to the point where I'd rather pay to go somewhere else and not have to sit on someones unwanted popcorn. Cinematically; the films are presented well; good sound and good size screens; but often you'll find coke splashed on screens or my biggest problem; holes in the screen (meaning shiny bright sparkling areas). A cinema that tries to be good but doesn't quite pull it off. Go elsewhere.

This Vue cinema is great, you can either buy your tickets downstairs from a dedicated ticket desk,…read moreor go up some escalators and buy your tickets with your popcorn, or you also have the choice of buying them online and collecting them from a ticket machine. In the main lobby, you have a Ben & Jerry's stand from where you can get some yummy ice cream, next to the stand they have a selection of pick and mix. The lobby looks nice, but is always pretty busy during the evenings so I suggest getting there early. As Paul mentioned there is a lack of food, but to be honest there aren't many cinemas that do a huge range. As this is near a shopping complex there are a few places you can go to eat. I am a huge popcorn fan, and Vue does do tasty popcorn. The screens are good and the seats are comfortable, this Vue is great to watch any film =)

It is pricey, but for a nice night out with your spouse, This is a very comfortable place to see a movie. If you're going to spend the money to go out to see a movie you may as well be comfortable. It is worth the extra cost.

I am only giving this 4 Stars as I think that there always seem to not be enough staff serving the customers and the queues always seem long unless you have pre-booked online and you can retrieve your tickets from a terminal on the wall with your credit card.

The one star rating is simply because it's my local - 5 minutes walk from home but the previous…read morereviewers are right about the regulars! However worse than that - it's SO poorly managed. It's usually quite dirty, the queuing system is random, especially when they mix the ticketing with the food, signage often out of date, wrong or completely absent, the 'suits' who are meant to keep the peace are totally ineffectual and staff often entirely lacking. But much much much worse still - they only show the films that appeal to the lowest common denominator - if you want to see anything that regularly uses words of more than 2 syllables, this isn't the place for you. Cineworld management - have you wondered why the receipts are so poor here? See above!

Bexleyheath Cineworld is much like all the other out of town cinemas I've been too, it kinda sucks…read more The potential is there - they have nice screens and nice seats.. I guess it's the people visiting who ruin it more than really being able to put any blame on the staff. If you see a film here you're likely to have the teen crowd who view throwing popcorn and making phone calls as more important than viewing the film, this is very frustrating. Unless you are there because you want to throw popcorn, in which case-- party on. My only real trouble with the actual staff is how they seem to let kids of any age slip into films of any certificate. Normally if you go see an '18' you know you're going to be safe from the annoying children who should be doing their homework. But not at Bexleyheath; they seem to have no restrictions, age-wise. If this is your only choice, then why not, seeing a film is better than seeing nothing. But if you have any other choices I would suggest you explore those first. A cinema with potential that unfortunately doesn't pull through.

A very representable price tag. I think we even attended on a crazy Monday and got half price tickets. They have a bar in the waiting area where you can buy drinks of all sorts and sweets or ice cream (no popcorn if I remember rightly) which is prob a good and less busy place to pop in for a cuppa anytime anyway. The cinema itself usually has most higher rated films showing on release and extremely generous seating throughout. Screen are on the smaller side but overall that doesn't detract from the experience unless you want an IMAX experience or something totally in your face. Barbican is definitely worth a trip for those wanting to avoid mainstream cinemas. Xyz

Oddly, when we bought our tickets, he showed us a tattered seating chart and asked us which seats we'd like, but had to look up our request in the computer to see if they're already taken, which led to the following conversation: "how about those?" "sorry I'm afraid those are taken. "how about those?" "sorry I'm afraid..." etc. The one twist was the classy food - scones, quiche, and an extensive wine list - which we weren't expecting. While I'm a fan beer / wine in movies, we actually just wanted some popcorn and sweets...
