When I entered this location, the owner, Gary, was working. He was talking to a prospective vendor so we perused the shop while he worked with him. My kids were enamored with the boards and, feeling generous, I figured I'd get one for them. After assisting the vendor, Gary turned his attention to us. I told him what shoes I wanted and the size and he quickly handled that. Then I started asking about the boards. He asked some questions and then was able to make recommendations that allowed me to eliminate a number of boards on the walls. Then I had my kids select one. After getting the board, Gary showed us the skate ramp in back. He gave me a card and told me that if the kids ever wanted to do lessons he could work with them. Such a great experience! Next time I need shoes or skate equipment, Vu will be the first place I go.

They even have team apparel for various sports teams. You will have to dig and hunt for the sales. There are price tags that you have to read the number on to see if it's 50% off. There's a code or something to that effect which is why I said be prepared to hunt and do work. Some items were only 10% off retail price. They do have a large selection of things. Worth stopping by and trying to find deals if you have time and patience. I feel like they are trying to bamboozle people by making it seem as if this is a clearance warehouse place. Slightly cheaper than actual Dick's store on many items. Not sure I would go again as I can for sure find the shoes online much cheaper from other retailers. Would come if needed workout clothes and had time to devote to hunting. Just meh.

So it's an appointment only business and that is encouraged!!!!!…read moreThey do accept walk in service although that's a gamble and unless your picking up grab & go gear, from mid October on, your gonna be hard-pressed to get assistance. I had an appointment today and the place was bustling. They have plenty of staff although I saw signs for help everywhere. So here's my take, there aren't many ski shops anymore or like there was say, 40 years ago. Baltimore Ski Warehouse (BSW) is pretty central and they do offer both used and new equipment. There prices on used equipment are a tad high vs. eBay or liquidation sites. With that said, just like a lot of shopping, ski gear also has gone online and it's equally affordable to BSW. When you buy online, it's a gamble because what important is the fit! Some sales are final sales or a PITA to return. BSW affords you the fit and will work with you until you're happy. That's called connivence and you pay a little extra for convenience just like you do for milk and bread at the big gas stations. Today, I tried of 4 brands of boots and purchased a pair and left happy despite paying a little more. BSW, guaranteed me a good fit or I can return the used boots for another pair of used boots within their huge selection. Folks were nice and again, it was busy so MAKE AN APPOINTMENT online. It's easy and you're guaranteed service. Note: No Veteran or First Responder discounts.
