I discovered Duckpin Consignment when I was looking to unload some highend handbags and shoes I no longer used. While the staff reviewed my items, I had time to explore the three floors and was so impressed with how the shop was curated and the condition of the offerings. They have clothing, shoes, sunglasses, handbags, belts and jewelry. The inventory is extensive and they are particular with what they accept for consignment, they review condition on all items so a lot of the stuff is very gently used, almost new. A great place to treat yourself to something nice!

I stopped by Octavia Boutique today, and I was so impressed that I felt compelled to write a few…read morelines about it. The store is fairly large and sits in the Village of Cross Keys in Baltimore, an upscale open‑air shopping destination near the golf course. I've been a customer there for quite some time, but lately it feels as though they've shifted gears -- in the best possible way. What stands out most is the balance in their selection. They offer an appealing mix of evening wear, casual everyday pieces, and beautifully tailored clothing in rich, flattering colors. The pants are consistently good, the jackets are glorious, and the sweaters are the kind you want to touch. Everything is thoughtfully curated and priced sensibly, which is dangerous for me because I can always find something I won't be able to resist. Their jewelry selection has also taken a noticeable leap forward. They still carry small, affordable, easy pieces, but they've also added more distinctive designer items lately -- bold colors, contemporary shapes, and intriguing materials. I spotted exquisite Lucite pieces, leather designs in unexpected hues, and some very fashion‑forward clip earrings from Paris that are both chic and unbelievably comfortable. Visiting Octavia Boutique always feels like stepping into a space where style is taken seriously without ever feeling intimidating. What makes it truly exceptional, though, is how rare it is to find a fashion boutique that excels equally in clothing and jewelry. Their recent evolution has only sharpened that distinction. The apparel is beautifully curated, but the jewelry collection is nothing short of breathtaking -- a level of creativity and quality you almost never see under the same roof. If you enjoy thoughtful fashion, distinctive accessories, and a store that consistently surprises in the best way, Octavia is well worth the stop. Just be warned: resisting temptation there is nearly impossible.

Last November, I had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Sunny, and it was truly the best customer service I've received in a long time. He was kind, honest, and attentive, offering thoughtful, genuine feedback about what looked best between the options I was considering. As I shared with him that I would be interpreting for a Deaf woman marrying a Nigerian man, he truly listened. He understood how important it was to find an outfit that was beautiful yet not visually distracting for the bride, and he guided me with care and intention. His compliments on the colors I chose gave me a confidence boost I didn't realize I needed during my grief journey. I ended up purchasing a stunning teal and gold outfit, and Sunny even helped me find jewelry to match. More importantly, he offered words that made me feel proud of myself as an East Indian woman reconnecting with her culture. I'm looking forward to returning soon to shop for a photoshoot and to continue embracing the richness of my roots. Thank you, Sunny, for such a heartfelt and empowering experience. Namaste.

This review is more about some of the new extras they now have available at the shop. I am a big fan of Baxter Men's products and grooming tools. CSC now has almost all of them in stock at the shop so I no longer need to go online to have them sent to me. I've tried moisturizers, beard cream, pomade, custom combs and the fragrance soap bars! SO if you want to not only look good, but also smell and feel good definitely remember to check out that option!

I was also told that the pieces I brought weren't a great fit for the store. I had some good labels that I thought matched their vibe--Calvin Klein, Banana Republic, a 100% linen jacket from Kathleen Sommers, an orange suede jacket, etc. Full disclosure: I may have made the mistake of including one or two pieces with a stain or flaw, which could have led to judgment on the rest of my items and made them seem undesirable. To be fair, maybe what I brought truly wasn't a good fit. However, I wasn't given any additional feedback or much sense of appreciation for coming in, so I'm probably just not the kind of seller or customer they're looking for.
