This is the main charm city run location I frequent. As a hobby runner and marathonist; I do need to buy occasional running snacks for my longer distance runs and I enjoy trying out a variety of options so coming here is perfect as they sell energy gels individually. I've also gotten new shoes from here before and they were helpful with several shoe recommendations for a neutral, cushioned shoe. I will say their prices vary compared to shopping from direct brands online sometimes so this is worth comparing prior to purchase. Upon purchase, I'd recommend making a free account here so they can save your purchase history so if you liked something you bought but don't exactly remember what it was, they are capable of looking it up for you. Bought a pair of running shoes I wasn't sure about, cashier said I could return them for a refund within 2 weeks "as long as they didn't show signs of wear" or store credit if they did (already a short return window). Wore them on the walk home and decided I didn't want to even try running in them (heel was moving around, didn't feel "normal" compared to my usual running shoes). Took them back the next day and they said they wouldn't refund back to my credit card because the white soles had scuffs from 3 blocks of walking. Cashier also started cutting some insoles I said felt good and only told me afterwards that they were $65. Just buy shoes online, at least they accept returns like normal people. These guys are just out to get your money, and for all their "look at your gait" theatre they sold me shoes that essentially didn't fit. UPDATE: Store owner reached out over email and essentially just re-iterated their store policy and offered nothing new to rectify the bad experience. Situation hasn't materially changed, will avoid shopping here in the future. read more

Who knew!? At least, that's what my PT Annabelle at Fyzical Bethany Beach said when she met me & saw the $12 Wal-Mart mule sneaks I was wearing after my TKR knee surgery. Hmmm. So she gave me a "shoe prescription" to go to Charm City Run in Rehoboth and now I have super cool, supportive, & controlling Hoka sneakers! Srsly, Erin was amazing! She measured my foot, consulted with me, assessed my needs, and then brought me a variety of shoes that would fit the bill. I even got some cool new cushiony socks! I really wanted to shout out the team at Charm City Run in Fells Point for an outstanding experience yesterday. I've been a runner on and off for the past couple of years, and I'm currently working on getting back into it. I visited the store just to learn more about latest versions of running sneakers and potential inserts that might work best for me at this time, given the current state of my feet and knees, and I was welcomed with such genuine hospitality and care, without any pressure to make an immediate purchase. Cori was the team member who helped me, and she was fantastic. Incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thoughtful. She took the time to talk through my running goals, performed a walking assessment, and offered great insights and recommendations tailored to my needs. I left the store feeling informed, encouraged, and more motivated to get back into running. I'm definitely looking forward to being a customer here and continuing to tap into their support. Time for a work shoe upgrade!! I've been going to Charm City Run for a few years now, since nursing school. I trust them completely to help me find the right shoe for work. As a nurse, I'm on my feet 12-14 hours a day and a have knee surgery history. The folks at Charm City Run have always been amazing when it comes to finding comfortable and supportive shoes. Very impressed with both salespeople who helped me (Chelsey and another young man I don't know the name of!) for their patience and effort to try and get me a cute color of Hoka shoe but that also fit my medical need too (tendonitis and osteoarthritis). Super thankful that it was a positive experience, they even ordered another shoe from another store and looked shoes up so I could compare and make the best decision possible. I never felt rushed, she measured my feet and watched my gait so I felt really confident that she was making the best recommendation. My final decision was with the young man this past Friday and he too allowed me to try on multiple brands of shoes. (I eventually picked the Hoka's) I love the variety and all the resources they have in store. Great store! Some street parking is available but the circulator and the Hopkins shuttle come near here. There is a paid parking lot right across the street. They usually stay open until 7pm so that's super helpful too. Highly recommend! read more

Came here with a friend for both of us to get properly fitted for new running shoes. We were promptly assisted by Jaci who assessed our gait, asked about our mileage, any pains, etc. She pulled great recommendations for us that we both purchased. Charm City Run will look at how you walk and run to make recommendations on running shoes. They also allow you to try them out for 2 weeks and if they don't work for you, will take them back! They have a large variety of running shoes including Brooks, Asics, Saucony, Nike, Hoka, and more. In addition to shoes, they also have cute Baltimore themed and general apparel, including shorts, tights, t-shirts, tanks, socks, and sports bras. Brands range from Nike, Under Armour, Lululemon, Brooks, etc. They stock Goodr sunglasses which are lightweight and do not bounce for running. The store is small though so if there is something that you are looking for or they don't have your size, they may be able to order it for you - just ask! They also stock nutrition such as waffles, gummies, gels, and electrolytes as well as accessories for safety and water. The staff here are super friendly and always willing to help out. They often have items on sale which may be a good deal. I've also participated in several different running groups hosted by this store, including half marathon and Charles Street 12 miler training. The groups meet twice a week with one evening that focuses on speed and hill training and a group long run on a weekend morning. They also provide a plan for the other days of the week that we don't meet as a group. They promote the community atmosphere and the coaches are experienced and willing to work with you. read more
