I enjoy the pho here. It's decent and close to home. However their to go sizes have dramatically decreased. I'm paying for half of what I would get if I sat down to eat. It's incredibly disappointing when I should be getting the exact same size. For $17/$18 I expect better. I will no longer be coming here any more. There are far better options in San Jose/Campbell area. read more

Forgettable, that's how I would summarize the place. Food took a while and the bill took even longer to come. The avocado cheese rangoons were good, very filling. The pho tho was mediocre at best, not really flavorful and not that much meat. read more

I've been here a few times now, and I always walk out satisfied. My friend and I got the vermicelli bowl with pork. It is flavorful, but our meat was cold. When we brought this to the server's attention, she was so kind to immediately fix the issue. The Vietnamese iced coffee had a little too much condensed milk, but we still finished our drinks. A chill spot for a decent meal. read more

New restaurant with promising reviews so I had to try it! Place is spacious with high ceilings and a beautiful mural covering an entire wall. We got chicken pho, fried rice with chicken, noodles with chicken and avocado cheese Rangoon. Avocado cheese Rangoon: crispy with a rich filling. Tiny portion but reasonably good. Chicken pho: did not come with the customary sides of basil, jalapeño and sprouts. The broth was light and chicken was tough. Most restaurants struggle with cooking the white chicken meat just right in the pho and this place was no different. Fried rice and noodles: combining them as both of came with the same grilled chicken thrown on top. This was dark meat chicken which tends to stay moist and soft compared to white meat. The marinade itself was sweetish though. The noodles were thick and had a slight bite. Fried rice was nondescript. read more

VPho is short for "Vphonemenal", I figured it out while observing the restaurant and seeing the neon sign on the wall. I am happy I picked this restaurant for dinner, after our drive out to Monterey, It was a long drive and by the time we got to San Jose, most of Vietnamese restaurant I had on my list, had already close except for VPho which closes later. I must admit I was having doubts of going to this restaurant, but I am glad. Thanks Yelp, besides closing time I went with the 4.5 star ratings and that I saw they have lobster pho!! I was surprised to see VPho, super nice, new, spacious restaurant. I love the set up, decor., very modern! I love the napkin dispenser on the table and we all loved our food! The service was too slow, understandable, seem like they are short staffed, there was only one waiter working that night. Glancing the menu, I already know what I am ordering but VPho's menu has a great selection of appetizers & entrees . The vegan pho looks good too! I loved the D.I.Y Pho option which you choose your noodle type, protein, veggies and broth! My daughter and her BF got the DIY pho. My son got the #25, Spicy Noodle soup and lobster surf and turf pho ($39.) for me and the other half. Along with an order of fried tofu. Everyone enjoyed their soup bowls, my daughter's BF mentioned the pho tasted better than the last pho place, we went to @Vegas. I totally agree. Loved the firm noods and the hot broth, sure hit the spot! The pho broth was very refreshing and very tasty! The lobster pho comes with beef and also comes with 2 fish ball with roe. I shared this huge bowl of pho with my other half it was perfect! The fried tofu was super good, it melts in your mouth & so good with or with out the sauce. I totally recommend this lobster pho and the fried tofu. FYI, utilize the Yelp check in for 10% off, pay with cash its cheaper but I opt to pay with my credit card for those airline miles ( Southwest miles!!) instead of saving money. hehe. This is a very new restaurant which just opened recently, ( July) Thank you VPho for staying open til 11pm, I would not have the opportunity to dine here if you closed earlier. I loved our dining experience here at VPho, I can't wait to come back again. This is Pho-Sure!! Recommend. From one foodie to the other foodie, get the Lobster Surf and Turf, so worth it! read more

3 1/2. I saw some people Togo food but restaurant was pretty empty. Probably because they are new. Ambience. Large restaurant next to Safeway and Dominoes with tons of booths. Looks clean and modern. Seats are comfy. Rib Bone Pho. Good flavor but waaay too much msg. I am sensitive and get dry tongue and I could feel it when I fist drink the broth. Need to Cut it down like 1/10th seriously. Decent amount of meat but I did finish with just noodles left so could use more. Price is competitive. Viet coffee. Just ok. It's strong and sweet but watery, not thick like drip coffee. Service. Older lady has spot on service and speaks good English. Young gal seems new because she just knows how to take orders that's it. When I ask her anything she just smiles and doesn't actually respond. Overall, good pho place. Hopefully they keep improving and stick around. read more

Old place was bad. This place will survive in a good way! The beef and rice dish I posted a photo of was really tasty the chicken as well. Grilled! Got a little bit of salad without the customary sugar water! Nice! The waitress is young and very inexperienced but friendly! I used a check in 10% discount and that was really nice of them as well! I will go back for the lobster pho soon enough! Definitely recommend! Didn't touch the bar but ℹ probably will next time as well! read more

My son loves this place. We both ordered the chicken Pho/#26 and it was very good, which cane with thin noodles or fresh noodles. The pho here is easily a 4/5 and possibly a 5. I had 4 issues with the service/older Asian lady running the floor: 1) My son and I were the only second customers there and she was going to put right next to the other people already there. I asked if we can get one table away to have some space. She said she put next to the others since it's colder where I wanted. And I thought ok I guess that's reasonable even though I still wanted one table away. 2) Then she gives us ice waters and then I thought what happened to being concerned about our warmth. If anything, she could've asked if we wanted water with ice or no ice. 3) She dropped off the pho and I didn't see the plate of mint and bean sprouts. When she asked if everything was ok I asked about the mint and sprouts. She said I could bring you some and it's only by request. Really, you could have asked and she said I could have too . Man! This was my first experience with pho that didn't come with the mint and sprouts. 4) I drank half my water and my son didn't touch his. She walked to the other table to offer more water and didn't even bother asking us. 5) Last but not least, I paid $8 for this boba topped with ice. Are you kidding me? C'mon man! My family and I have come here probably a dozen times and today was the worst experience. If my son really wants to come here, definitely not getting another boba. read more

Very impressed with this new Vietnamese spot in a Campbell strip mall. Located next to Safeway, the interior is spacious and nicely decorated. There are several booths and some additional tables that were moved together to accommodate 2 large groups. The menu has a couple of vegetarian options (fried tofu appetizer, vegetable bun dim sum, and vegetarian pho. We ordered all of these, as well as a vermicelli noodle bowl that removed the au lac sauce and the spring roll. Unfortunately there is no vegetarian option for spring roll or summer roll, but the waiter told us that there has been a demand for them and the owner is looking into putting some more veg options. The fried tofu was better than expected - a soft fluffy tofu with a crispy coating. We had it with the sweet and sour sauce. The bun was also decent. The pho was the main event for me, and boy did it deliver! The broth had a depth of flavor often missing in veggie pho. Surprising given the few veg options, but very welcome. There's also some DIY pho options that allow you to build your own bowl and put in different toppings. There were some additional veggies offered in this list, including bok choy. The vegetarian pho came with fried tofu as well as a mock meat (not sure if seitan or soy, but was delicious). If you've got this, you can definitely put it in some rolls - and I'm excited to try when you do! Will bump up to 5 stars once more veggie options are added and service kinks are ironed out. Vpho is new favorite Vietnamese restaurant of the Evan Low for Congress campaign. Just discovered it on yelp and been back 4 times in the past week. Open late, great service, spacious dining area, reasonable prices and delicious food. This is the perfect spot to eat after a late night of campaigning. The rib bone pho is sooooooooo good! The meat falls off the bone. Ox tail pho is also legit! Looking forward to returning tomorrow. This place is literally powering the company. Team Low, Let's Go!!!! read more

Came to this new pho shop in Campbell and was really impressed on how the deco of the restaurant looks inside. The service was really good and they came around quite frequently to check up on me. Unfortunately I have to minus a star because of the food. The wings were really salty. It had a soy and fish sauce flavor that was just too overwhelming. I did like the crispness of the wings tho. And the bbh had good flavors but too salty as well. They also did not have all the meats that traditionally comes with this dish. I will definitely come back and try their pho next time I check this place out. read more

Came here because they have the Beef bone pho. Walked in to be greeted by high ceilings. Was nice to see that the chopsticks presented on saucers already. The employees were quick to greet us and ready to take our order. Wife got the beef bone pho which is why we came here. I got the pho with rare steak. It was interesting to see the menu choices, like Garlic Noodles and wings. The beef bone was pretty good, quite tender. My pho was okay, probably 3/5. Our food was okay - I think it was a good place to try. read more

Full disclosure, this place still has a soft opening, but grand opening is on 9/8. The pho and broth is 5 out of 5... super clean and flavorful. The chicken wings have too much batter and supper dry... not very good, but maybe that is why there is so much sauce. Service is where this place needs to get better. Our server didn't really talk, but again it was a soft opening. The place is super clean and has a bar which looks amazing. Mixed reviews, but maybe will come back. read more

We ordered via DoorDash, so I've not seen the place in person to share my perspective on their ambience nor service. What I can speak about is the food we ordered. First off, I was blown away by how much food was within each order and loved that everything was kept separately contained for us to create our Pho, in the proportions we desired. The only change I would request would be to make sure the vegetables were not so al dente, I prefer mine not as crunchy. read more

As a self-proclaimed pho-natic who's tried pho all over the world, I came in with high expectations but unfortunately, V Pho is not the place to get pho. I ordered the phở đặc biệt, as you usually do, and several fundamentals were missing. The water was served without ice or lemon or orange which may seem minor, but it's part of the overall dining experience. It's traditional. More importantly, the broth was not piping hot, which is essential for properly cooking the meat. Speaking of which, the meat arrived still raw, rather than gently cooked through by the broth. Pho lives and dies by temperature and balance, and this missed the mark on both. Lastly, noodles were too soft and overcooked breaking apart. Overall, the experience felt incomplete and underwhelming. There's potential here, but based on this visit, I wouldn't return for pho. read more

When I saw Slow Cooked Oxtail Pho on the menu, I had to check out VPho. I had been to this place 100 times but never tried anything there. After reading so many good reviews, I decided to check them out. Unfortunately, I set the bar too high. The portion size was fine for one person, but the broth was average. As for the oxtails? I got three pieces, two of which were the bony, skinny tail tips that were chewy, flavorless, and lacked seasonings. So much for believing all the hype. read more

I'm at Vpho at 930 W Hamilton Ave, #110,Campbell CA 95008 (Safeway Plaza next to Domino's) This is a fairly new place that replaced a noodle house. The menu is very extensive from Pot Stickers, Avocado Cheese Ragoons to Lobster Surf and Turf Pho. Tonight, I had the Supreme Shaken Beef, Cheese & Avocado Rangoon with a Thai Ice Tea with Pearl. Really Good! I saw what others had ordered and everything looked really great. The service was attentive and all employees worked as a team to provide Superior Service. The only negative thing was the menu showed a Trio Sorbet as a dessert item. This is one of my favorite top desserts! The server was very nice and told me upfront they didn't have any. I'm not going to deduct this as sometimes restaurants run out of things. The ambience was clean, nicely spaced tables, and family friendly with great parking. I really like Vpho and plan to be one of their regular customers. read more

Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. Wasn't too busy and got seated right away. Took awhile for them to get our order and water and utensils to be provided. The menu is your typical Vietnamese pho restaurant but they do have some specialty dishes. We ordered the pho special and the shaking beef rice plate with egg rolls. I'd pass on the egg rolls. I'm convinced it wasn't full cooked. The taro was a little chewy still. The pho wasn't great and it tasted gamey. My bf isn't picky with his food but for him to say it's not good then it's truly a skip for us. I like the rice plate but was a little disappointed the beef were in small pieces. I think other places does bigger cubes. Not sure if we'll be back yet. But there's plenty of parking and bathroom is clean. The place has pretty decors though and they offer fishbowl cocktails! read more

This place is open late, so we were able to order through DoorDash. We got egg rolls, pork buns, spring rolls, Bon bo hue soup, Oxtail soup, and a pork rice plate. The spring rolls were okay; the egg rolls were tasty. The oxtail was tender, and I loved the Bon bo hue soup, too! I did not get fish sauce for the rice pork plate; maybe they don't offer it. The experience will probably be better if I try to dine in next time instead of takeout. The packaging for takeout can also be improved for safe food delivery. read more

Food 7/10 Average pho. Standard spring rolls. I mean nothing crazy to rave about but food is good based on what I've had before. Ambiance 7/10 Came in at 7:15pm on a Tuesday and it was an absolute ghost town when we entered. Then while we ate only 1 other party came in. In terms of decor the place looks actually really nice. I'd recommend installing more lighting because I thought they were closed when driving into the parking lot lol. Service 8/10 Waitress was kind, friendly, and polite. Only problem was that we ordered an appetizer and we were not given plates to eat on. Since they were handheld food items it wasn't a big issue for us. Smell 1/10 (first time adding this as a grading item) Like 25% through our meal we started smelling like a sewer bathroom grimy nasty smell. This was very very bad. Ruined my entire experience. I typically finish all the food I order no problem but at one point I just wanted to leave my food, pay the bill, and leave! read more

Unfortunately, service was horrible for dinner. Three out of five of my party were served fairly quickly. The server noticed about 7 or 8 minutes later that two of us never got our food so she put in another order for two more bows of pho. About 5 minutes later only one bowl came out. I informed the server that we were still missing a bowl. So, she put in ANOTHER order. Came to find out that one of the other servers took my bowls of pho for her table. I probably waited a good 15 minutes after everyone was served...not acceptable. The rib meat was not cooked long enough and was not "fall off the bone" like it should be. However the broth was good. Also, Just so you know they automatically added 18% tip to our bill. Unfortunately, in this day and age, tipping has less and less ties to insuring good service. They did take off 15% off the bill for my inconvenience. read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch today in between running errands. Was told I had to sit in the absolutely freezing lobby area as there was a big party and I was fine with that. Ordered my soup and waited until it finally came out. Part of it spilled everywhere. I had no napkins and had to flag the waitress down. Come to find out I got the wrong order, and still no napkins and none of the drinks that I had ordered earlier. Got another bowl after waiting. It was dropped off and the waitress took off. Again, no napkins or drinks. I finally just got up and left. I was obviously not going to be waited on in a proper way and it was just absolutely ridiculous. If there's such a big party and you can't handle or really serve others, don't take other customers! Went to House of Pho on Prospect. Perfect! And not freezing! read more

This is my new favorite pho restuarant. The veggie pho leaves nothing to be desired! I added shrimp one time, and it just wasn't nessesssary at all. That's how complete the broth is. I added siracha once, and regretted it. Again, the broth just doesn't need it. As far as the veggie pho is concered, all you need is your chopsticks, your spoon and your mouth! Leave all those other condiments alone! The shrimp spring rolls were okay. I've been here several times and have only ordered them once. I also enjoyed one of their fish bowl drinks once. I felt ripped off because the alcohol didn't seem present (although I'm sure it was). 10/10 recommend for the pho! Everything else is just a bonus. read more

Had a pho craving but needed to find a vietnamese restaurant with outdoor seating because i had my dog with me. Yelp lead me to this place which had good reviews. The food itself was good but the environment wasn't the greatest which was surprising (considering it looked nice except for a beat up overstuffed red mercedes in the corner of the parking lot). Someone robbed the safeway next door by taking a case of white claws and he ran right by us lol it was 20-something looking young caucasian. he didn't look unhoused. he looked decently dressed. then there were two sketch caucasian guys that kept trying to talk to me, my cousin (a guy) and my cousin's teen daughter. One of the guys (elderly gentleman) kept trying to make jokes and the other younger guy was saying "don't tell them i'm banned from that store." When we got our food and were eating, the younger guy comes by again asking we saw the old man because the old man was supposed to buy him groceries at safeway (because he's banned from there) and then get him food. We just kept saying idk where he is. then the guy comes back again and my cousin just got fed up and kindly but firmly told the guy that "we're hungry and we're just trying to enjoy our food so if he could please leave." after that he didn't come back, but the older gentleman came back and asked to pet my dog but i said "no" and luckily my dog started barking a lot. long story short, food is good (a bit on the pricey side) but i'd come back. server was kind and attentive but i did have to go in to ask for a water refill. the cups they gave us were the cups that normally hold hot tea, so they were small. i'm definitely eating inside though. too much random craziness happening outside. read more
