Been coming here for almost 2 years and I always leave as a satisfied customer. I've also been to several other salons in the area, but I always get pressured to buy "add ons" or get my brows waxed or some other treatment. At VP Nails I never have that issue. Yesterday I got my nails done by Jimmy. Let me tell you he is the BOMB.COM! I was in and out of the salon in about 40 minutes! Go elsewhere! I've been coming here for pedicures every 6 weeks or so for over 4 years, even after a terrible acrylic experience where the tech argued with me about wanting shorter nails and I left with thick, awful-looking acrylics. When I had them removed elsewhere, they literally asked where I got them done because they were that bad. Unfortunately, the pedicure experience has gone downhill too. My favorite tech has been gone for months, and today was my breaking point. My husband and I came in for a relaxing pedicure, but the staff was rude, dismissive, and argumentative. The woman doing my husband's pedicure was demeaning to him, and when I asked the male tech to trim my toenails shorter, he argued with me instead of listening. The place was also completely empty, which honestly says a lot. Customers should not feel like a bother for supporting a business. This salon desperately needs better customer service and management. I came in for a pedicure. I got the tropical for the longer foot massage. Tech got the hot stone and gently rubbed it on my lower leg. No pressure hardly at all. I ask is that the massage? Came in to have a manicurist tidy my nails ...... walked out with my nails looking not much better than when I came in. Manicurist was extremely rushed ... zipped through it in about 5 minutes , with a course trim that left my nail ends ragged with no real shape. She applied clear polish without cleaning off the drips on my finger tips and didn't bother to check or really look at her work before we were done. She was nice enough but clearly had bigger fish to fry. $18 was not a high ticket service, so I didn't expect much, but with a manicure this course and so poorly done, i definitely won't circle back for a higher ticket service when I have more time. read more

Not so great. Said they could take 3 of us at 1:15. They started on 2 of us in a timely manner but made my mom wait 40 minutes while they took regulars. We get they need a lunch break - just don't say yes when you're not staffed. Our pedicures were fine but all 3 of us were not happy with our manis. My daughter had Wang. He cut her cuticle in 3 places and her nails are uneven. The polish looks cheap. My mom had to correct her lady (not sure of her name). She asked her to redo the filing. My nails are ok but uneven. These guys are phenomenal I'd recommend them to anyone they're friendly and professional. I went in just to get "dip" nails and there were two girls one on each side of me getting their nails done the same color baby blue nails. I commented they must be sisters as they looked similar. They looked to be around 13 or 14- definitely still kids in school. The older girl on my right commented they are just best friends. Anyways, right after the gentleman was finished with her nails she beelined it for the door and she said "she was going out to explore." (The other girl on my left was still getting her nails done) The girl who left came back in and popped her head in and announced "the pizza is done in 2 minutes" and left. Then the second girl just dashed out the door too. After, they mentioned the girls got their toes and nails done- about $250 worth of work/ time. i walked in to get an easy nail design done, i have never gone to this place but when i asked for the design i wanted, they didn't have a wide color choice, and no knowledge of it. I only asked for a brown tip with black blooming gel dots on it. I had to switch my design because it was too difficult for her to do, meanwhile i am deciding designs that i now had to re choose, she was filing my nails and cut my finger at the tip very deeply, and then cut my cuticle also very deeply. When i just chose to have chrome on my nails, she didn't have enough on the tip of my nail, so it is see through on the end. I go to this place far too often just becuase it is so close to my house, but I dont like it and every visit I wish I hadn't. The people that work there are rude, they truely act like you are bothering them by having them perform the service the business is designed for. ESPECIALLY if you are any where near closing time. Look, we all like to go home from work, but if you close at 7:30... do you really need to act like you are put upon by a customer walking in at 7:04? This is literally the 4th time this has happened to me. I've also seen them do the same thing to other customers. Not many people can get their nails done at 9am. We work too. Why don't you open at 10 and stay open later when more people are free to get pedicures? It's not just the time thing, they are generally unlikeable and have only average skills anyway. Highly impressed. When you walk in you sign in and put down what services you want. They do mani, pedi, waxing and some other usually nail services. We came in for pedicures so that was easy enough. They have I think 5 to choose from and I got the middle of the road one. The prices are kinda high but worth it. Decor is simple, and nice. TV's on the wall and light music playing like many places. However, this place gives you wine, and other cocktails. They even have strawberry frozen drink you can add alcohol with. The ladies were polite but very quiet. My pedi was good, nothing extra special but with free wine in my glass I am happy. I will be going back to get my nails done at some point. read more

We showed up for a bridal party reservation and they were very accommodating. They sat us quickly and were patient with 7 women trying to decide what we wanted! I'm very disappointed to write this review, because overall the people are pleasant and I have had other good experiences, but my latest experience was noteworthy. I was a pedicure walk-in a couple nights ago. I got there an hour before closing, and it was fairly busy, so I was prepared to come back another day if they didn't have time to get to me. They assured me they had time for me, took my order, showed me to a chair, then left me there for 20 minutes. By the time someone was available to attend to me, she had to rush through my pedicure. She was fairly thorough, and did an okay job, but she was clearly rushing. I have a couple of bad callouses on my heels, and one weird toenail that were not addressed. She finished up my pedicure right at closing, so I was rushed out with wet nails. The big issue is that when I went to pay, they wanted to charge me for the $41 pedicure, when I had requested the $36 one. If I had wanted the more expensive one I would have been frustrated since it was so rushed. So even though they theoretically gave me the more expensive one, I was only willing to pay for what I asked for. They were polite, but not happy about my insistence that I pay the lower price. They asked if I wanted to tip, and I'm too polite to not, so I agreed to $6, for a total of $42. I just checked my card, and it was charged for $50! I get that that's just a few dollars, but it's a matter of principle. I only indulge in a professional pedicure a few times a year, so when I get one it's a treat that I save for. I'm so saddened and disappointed in VP. I will not be back. read more

I really wanted to love this place and gave them several opportunities. (I do love their massage chairs though!) My expectations started low but living between azle and Weatherford (not much there) along with good reviews, I hoped for the best. Couldn't be worse than the place in Lake Worth across from IHOP. I went in March for a shellac pedicure. A regular pedicure lasts me a month, so I was abhorrently surprised when they started chipping around week 1.5-2. That absolutely should not happen!! I took photos (red) to document when I was there, and what it looked like. Especially since I live in Austin and my father of Weatherford just passed away, I don't get up that way much anymore. I showed the receptionist the botched job from March. Photos day of and photos of worlds worst pedicure disintegrating. She said she would call the owner. Apparently the take money away from the service provider instead of ensuring quality staff. Except apparently that lady was fired. They never told me what they were going to do but I assumed make it right. Nope, they only took off 10% of dipped nails and shellac pedicure. That's not what I was expecting. What's worse is the job they did on dip. I had to ask several times to repaint top coat where it was missed. File sides, which really didn't help. Essentially my nails looked like garbage (bc you know I asked my bestie and those are her words). I told her they looked like the thickest chicklets I've ever seen. And aside from the bloody and ungrounded cuticles I was left with, the polish it's self was so sloppy. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else read more

I really enjoy getting to come to a place where I can relax, feel welcomed and have a glass of wine while I get my nails done. The nail techs do a decent job. Nothing spectacular but no bad experience with them so far. Today I came here to get my nails done for a special occasion and was wanting to have a glass of champagne to celebrate. For a place that advertises its bar, you'd think you'd get offered a drink, especially when you order the "manicure with the bartender." But, hey, people forget things sometimes and I'm not afraid to ask for what I want. So I ask my nail tech for a glass of champagne, and she relays the message to the "bartender" or lady who works the front desk. The lady looks at me, we make eye contact, and then she goes back to texting. From there I was completely ignored. Not just forgot, just ignored entirely. I guess she was just too busy texting to bother doing her one and only job. And it's not like I got the cheapest, most basic mani/pedi. I spent $115 by the time I was done there. I had my nails done at this salon. I do not remember the young woman's name that did my nails, but I can tell you I have worn Dip nails for years....and this is the best set of nails I have ever had. They look and feel great. i had the french manicure done which is not always easy to do, but these were perfect. I also enjoyed the experience. They were all very nice, very polite, I was offered beverages numerous times, and they made sure I was taken care of. Also in the times of COVID, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the place and the extra disinfecting and mask wearing that took place. I am new to the area and looking for a new place. I'm giving 2 stars because it was clean but the lady that did my nails seemed so inconvenienced. I got dip nails and idk if it's protocol to wash nail tools in the nail polish remover they are soaking your previous dip off with, but she did. She didn't use them. She just put them back. Does that mean it was dirty from a previous client. If so, gross. When she was filing off my previous dip, she was using a harsh bit that kept burning my nails. I told her I had thin nails and she seemed annoyed by that and when she burned again, I told her again. Like hey, my nails are thin. Please be gentle please. I wanted to leave at that point but just committed. Also, I picked out an extremely light nude pink and I got a different color on my nails. That was weird. Also, I wanted my nails filed and shaped to square. When I asked her she seemed very off put by the request and I didn't even want to ask again when she finished because she made me feel so uncomfortable for even asking. I've had my nails squared and these seem more round to me. I felt like I was being kind in asking but it doesn't matter. I don't want to come back. read more

I have been here 3 times and felt compelled to write a review. I go to Lynn and my nails are always gorgeous. I wish I had a picture of the very first dip she ever did for me. It was an ombre glitter white to glitter red. She took so much extra time to make sure they looked nice. Complete strangers would grab my hand to look at them. I like the laid back atmosphere too. They always offer you a drink, alcoholic or non, your choice. I always make an appointment and have never had to wait very long. I'm glad I found this place by accident. read more

Great work by Mindy and Tina! Very relaxing and very artful gel pedicure and pink and white American fill. I arrived 45 minutes prior to closing, yet they gave the full treatment which caused them to stay 45 minutes AFTER closing. They asked questions about what I wanted and listened, offered a beverage, and were both friendly and professional. I'll be back and will definitely refer friends. read more
