Long line for ok food in my opinion. My husband lives his steak quesadilla, but my carnitas burn burrito was not very flavorful and greasy. Went here on a slow Wednesday afternoon. They had 1 person taking orders and 1 person cooking. My son and I ordered 1 taco plate with rice and beans and I ordered a shrimp taco a la carte. 1 chips and guacamole This cost us over $30 and it took 30 minutes to get our order. Voodoo Taco has survived both criticism and praise since they opened. There are some who love them, and some who have an intense dislike. I've had both good and bad visits, but more good than bad. Firstly, this is an outlet. You already know that the rent here is probably high (same story in Aksarben) and the prices are going to be high too so although I do have to agree to paying $4-5 dollars for a taco is annoying- it's normal to me for where it's located. Parking here is of course the parking for the outlets and there is usually ample parking you might have to walk just a tiny bit. I also saw a lot of reviews stating that the service and the wait times were awful with in the last annual year and I have to say for going at dinner time on a Sunday I thought that service and food to table time was reasonable a little under 10 minutes. Businesses often times go through eb and flow with staff and service so let's hope that they're continuing on a positive trajectory! As far as food is concerned I thought our queso/chips + tacos were extremely tasty. I asked for a recommendation from the cashier for the two most popular tacos that they serve and I was not disappointed. The brisket taco was delicious and I enjoyed having the pickled jalapeños and refried beans with the brisket. The shredded barbecue beef taco was even better it was juicy packed with meat and flavor. I certainly don't think that this place is serving super authentic street Mexican tacos but instead it is serving a American fusion meal on a tortilla. I think it's possible to have creative fusion tacos that are not 'authentic' but still delicious. They've endured some tough critics, but I would say that as of today I thought the food was really good and just be prepared to pay outlet prices and potentially wait 10 to 15 minutes for your food. This place is unclean and disgusting. I ordered the Carne Asada Rice Bowl. Initially, it wasn't too bad, not the best carne Asada or Mexican food I've had, but not the worst. I was halfway done with my bowl and saw a long black hair at the bottom of the bowl (pictures attached). I was so grossed out. I demanded a refund, and they gave it to me without any issues. One of my favorite taco places. We stopped by when we were shopping at the outlet mall. The guy at the register was friendly. Took a little bit for the tacos to come out, but anything made fresh to order is worth the wait! They have some unique tacos with a variety of ingredients. Make sure to read the descriptions. I tried this place because I thought the name was cool and absolutely loved their logo. Well that's about where the positives end. Their service as many other reviewers pointed out was pretty slow. I waited 20 minutes for 1 taco which I think is a little crazy. I ordered the Fried Avocado taco which sounded awesome. I normally do all things meat but tried switching it up this one time. Well the taco was bad; and expensive. The toppings was pretty flavorless and the only thing that made my taste buds actually work was the shell because of how stale and crusty it tasted. Yayy Tacos!! Very small space in the outlet malls here. American Tacos more than Authentic or Tex Mex. The barbacoa was really good with great flavor but ratio of meat/toppings tortilla was way in the favor of the tortilla. At $5 a taco not really worth it. The fried chicken Taco $4 was loaded heavy with cheese. Overall not a bad taco actually really damn good on flavor but the price is $$$$. Our experience with staff was also very comical. Agree with a lot of the reviews. Service is ok. Not sure if they are understaffed or just don't know how to run the store effectively. It took 10 mins to get one Taco. During my wait I looked around the store. Not very clean. The cola machine was dirty, I mean not too surprised since there is soda, flavor, ice flying around the machine. Bathroom was ok, but could use a little love. The whole layout of the place is a bit odd. You walk in through the patio area and to your right is a small counter where you order. There were menus on the counter, don't even recall much above the cashier. The person who took my order was nice but not as excited for his job as I would hope. I was a bit confused by the setup and you would have thought my confused expression would had him offer some help. He eventually explained the set up but totally miss the hot sauce, so I didn't get any. Once getting my food, the quality was just ok. I went with only a shrimp taco, but I think I missed the part where they were fried. Kind of reminded me of popcorn shrimp. Like most of the reviewers, I would also have preferred a a corn tortilla over a flour tortilla. The flour tortilla was just a bit over toasted. Should be warm and soft, not crunchy. Enjoyed the music and laid back vibe. I think this place thinks they are really special though, and their food is just subpar. The idea is great and I think there is some potential. But you need to work at it. Clean up the place, and show people who can make quality food quickly. Don't bank on the outlet mall crowd to hold you over. They are shopping and are just hungry. Food was subpar - queso with chips was a waste of money (maybe 12 chips total and queso tasted like it had sat out all day), meat in tacos was not warm. Margaritas were average. 3% service fee for credit cards is posted, tried to pay cash and "no change" to break a $20, not able to run a debit card. So we were forced to pay the fee. Overall very disappointing experience and will be sure to let friends and family know to choose somewhere else to dine while shopping at NEX. read more

I hate to leave a bad review but these reviews are important because we rely on reviews to determine where to spend our money. I ordered a brisket taco, a barbacoa taco, chips with guacamole, and two seltzer's. I didn't realize it was near closing time, hence the chairs on the table. I was told there was only to-go available so I asked if I could eat it on the patio, he said I could. I felt rushed and like a burden. The taco's we both over $5 each and the guacamole was over $6. I understand that times are tough for restaurants and I realize inflation has hit hard so I didn't mind paying too much for everything but I expected for that much to at least taste good. I didn't like the texture of the tacos and finally realized that there were beans in the tacos, I assume as some sort of a cheap filler. I'm hispanic but I hate refried beans in my beef tacos. The texture of this combination is gross to me. When I order meat tacos I don't expect anything but meat with choice of salsa or pico de gallo. There were pickled jalapeños in the tacos also, something I never expect to find in a taco either. The guacamole was flavorless and the chips also needed salt. The flavor of the brisket was good, the other stuff ruined it. The barbacoa was kind of sweet, probably had a bbq sauce, which was not expected either. I was starving but couldn't finish any of it. I hope one day I am able to give This place a better rating. I went at lunchtime on a Friday. They were somewhat busy. I ordered chips and queso, a drink and a daily special. I got the queso and chips and drinks immediately. I found a table and ate the food I had. Then I waited... And waited... And waited. Finally, I went inside and after about 25 minutes, I asked the waiter if he could check on my order number. He said it was the next one up. So I waited some more. After a total of 40 minutes after ordering, a man who run up my purchase at the register brought the tacos over and apologized for the delay. I asked him to box them up to go. He told me he was going to refund me The cost of tacos. At least that's what I think he said. He brought the box back with the tacos and apologized again. So I waited for my refund. He went to the kitchen and got busy. I may have misunderstood him, so eventually I just got a sack and left. The food I ate was great! I will have to withhold judgment on the tacos because by the time I get them home today, they probably will not be edible. my husband and I went shopping at the outlets Gretna, Nebraska. we decided to have lunch at voodoo taco, having never ate there before, and will never eat there again. The place was disgusting. The garbage can was overfilled and it was only 11 o'clock early afternoon. The guy at the counter helping us was very nice. We were waiting at our table for him to bring our food somebody from GrubHub came in to pick up an order. The guy from the front counter went over to get the order. he turned his back to us. It look like he had straight up pooped his pants. They were gray sweats pants cut offs, dirty look like poop around the butt area. we watched him pick his butt serve other people's food, never washing his hands. We did get our food. You could see a piece of hair sticking up in my husbands rice bowl. I asked to talk to the manager and he told me he was the manager at that moment we decided to leave the restaurant and never returned. I am going to take this to social media because I think people need to know how disgusting this Fast food restaurant is. By the way, the guy that was behind the food prep counter never seen him wash his hands either he did not wear any gloves his hair was disgustingly greasy and he used his bare hands to slap food on a tortilla shell. We did not eat any of our food, but we did pay for it and we also left a 20% tip Only because you had to pay upfront as you do at any fast. The tacos are great, made with all fresh/homemade ingredients, but they still are a tad pricey for what you get. But I keep going back, which definitely says something. I had heard a lot about VooDoo Taco, and knew I had to try it. We went around noon, and it was pretty crowded. The space is small (the size of your average Chipotle or maybe even smaller). If you're overwhelmed by crowds or small spaces, this place may make you feel a little weird. The place is decorated with little VooDoo dolls and vibrant paint, which was pretty fun. I ordered an avocado taco, an alligator sausage taco, and a water. The tacos are street style. So they are pretty small. It was around $8.40 before tip. So it seemed a little pricey for such small portions, but while I was eating, I realized the tacos I had ordered were pretty filling. I am also sure alligator sausage comes at premium around here. The fillings of my tacos were delicious and flavorful. The avocado was heavy and almost had a cinnamon taste to it which was surprising and pleasant. The shredded carrots on that taco were also a nice touch. The alligator taco had corn and some slaw on it. The gator sausage was surprisingly tender and flavorful. A few things I thought could be done better were 1) the presentation and ease of edibility of the tacos and 2) the tortilla. The tacos were pretty slopped together and hefty. I am glad to have a lot of filling, but no one wants to eat tacos with a fork and knife, which I almost resorted to (forgive me Taco Father for my blasphemous thoughts). This is not first date food (unless your comfortable with food plopping out of your face). Also, every single taco was served in a cold tortilla, which just isn't right. This bothered my friend more than it did me. The service was also a little lackluster. It was fast, which was awesome (I had heard otherwise). The staff seemed either overwhelmed, tired, or inexperienced (or all of the above). The girl at the cash register was busting her butt to ring up people and get their food to them. I felt kind of bad watching her run around. I did receive the wrong order, but I quickly returned it, and the kitchen quickly got the proper order out to me. Unfortunately, I can definitely see how this place turns quickly into complete, filthy chaos. I think a few more combo options would be nice to have as well. There was a two taco lunch that included a drink and beans, but you could only get two of the same filling tacos. It made it seem like they were trying to get rid of certain meats. We had a nice lunch, and I would go back here again if I were in the area. However, I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. VooDoo Taco has a few things they do really really right (the meat quality, creativity, that one cash register/server gal), but the things that bring them down make it look like they don't really have it quite together. I've seen this little food stand at the Nebraska Crossing's many times before, so we tried it Friday. In short the help was rude the prices were too high the food I did not like and we received the wrong order hope somebody else enjoyed mine. Waited in line 15 minutes to order it was one other couple in front of us I mean really 15 minutes? It took another 20 minutes to get our food as it was to go. When we open the bag after we get to our destination we had three items we only ordered two and two of the three were not what we ordered. We will not be going back ever. The tacos are over price! All the tacos come on flour tortilla which doesn't hold up very well with all their sauce and liquid it kind of gets soggy and a weird texture to it. Had never been to a Voodoo Taco before so stopped with a coworker while travelling for work. Location is not handy to get to if you're just stopping off I-80...but fine if you're already shopping in the area. I had the Pork Carnita and the Alligator Taco along with chips and Queso. Food came out fairly quickly, and flavor was pretty good. The major downside for me was price and portion size. Meal and drink was nearly $20. This is basically fast food, it is at least 30% overpriced for what you get. I can not comfortably recommend it from a price standpoint. I will definitely say the mens restroom needs some serious attention from a cleanliness and appearance standpoint. Stopped by the Nebraska Crossing Voodoo Taco for dinner. Order at the counter. Given a number and the food is brought to your table. Only about 7 tables inside and a small counter that seats another 4. Lots of seating outside......not very helpful in the winter. Interior is black and gray with red accents and a huge Voodoo Taco mural on the back wall. Oh, and four black chandeliers that look out they are out of a Halloween scene. Service was friendly. Specials are written on a large blackboard beside the counter. I tried the Carnivale Corn (sweet roasted corn mixed with Cajun aioliand topped with cotija cheese, chili powder and cilantro) - did not like it at all - flat dull taste as if the corn was overcooked. Sounded really good, but the product did not deliver. Also tried the mahi mahi taco (served grilled and blackened topped with napa cabbage, cotija cheese and pico) - the single small piece of fish is absolutely lost in the mound of napa cabbage that comes with this dish. The taste is decent, but simply not enough. I was so hungry after "eating" dinner that I stopped at the adjacent McDonalds for a Big Mac and fries. As with the previous review, I have never set foot in the original Voodoo Taco location. I was here at NE crossing, doing the usual shopping and stopped in for lunch with a friend. First things first, they know how to season their food here. I don't know exactly what they use for spices but daaaaamn son, they good. I ordered a Barbacoa Taco, which is described on their menu as: Slow Cooked Shredded Beef topped with Avocado, Cajun Fried Onions, Cotija Cheese and Drizzled with Queso and Spicy BBQ and finished with fresh Cilantro. Doesn't this sound delicious? That's because it was. Although they were stingy on some of the ingredients.. 2 measly slivers of avocado? Da Fu@XKS?! The taco itself was good though. I paired it with the chipotle ranch sauce (they provide you a selection of sauces to pair your taco with), which because of the lack of avocado, I used that as the creamy component of the taco. I must say, the flavors went very well together. Cajun fried onions were probably the best part of it-- just the extra kick that was needed for the taco to be PERFECTO. We also split chips and salsa. It was this huge plate full of chips and side to-go container of fresh salsa. Chips themselves seemed hand made in shop (but I cannot attest to that). The spice on the chips though, were probably the best part of it. Had me and my friend addicted. Although my next request would be to coat the chips more evenly, as some pieces had way too much spice and some not enough. I was very impressed with my meal here. Five tables not bussed from previous customers. Floor dirty, didn't appear it had been swept nor mopped for years. Pop/fountain area complete mess i.e. water dripping around on counter surrounding it as well as around on floor. Straw wrappers. Used napkins on floor. All this before we ordered! This explains why it was pretty empty and customers were eating outside. Bathrooms? Use your imagination -- I'll not go into detail here. Cannot begin to convey how disappointing the food was. Tacos were pricey: a taco with a side of beans was $8.79. The size of the taco was little. The size of a Street Taco. One was not enough -- yet, it was: it was awful so at least I didn't have another to throw away. The taco shell was limp and broke apart when picked up. No flavor to write home about, or crave so that you want to return. Nope. This place is a disgusting excuse for a restaurant. The entire place was filthy. Kind of like what you would see at a run down theme park. Food was cold. Had the fried chicken burrito. Cold. Had the blackened chicken taco. Cold. The condiments are communal bottles that are not cleaned or policed. The service is robotic and cold. I have always seen this place and really wanted it to be good. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Eating at this place makes you understand just how ridiculous this country's concept of good food is when you see other reviews that give it 5 stars. I've been coming here for years normally the one in Omaha but this one quite a few times throughout the years. I've always gone for the Queso. Over the years I've noticed every time I get it it just gets worse and worse but I keep trying. I got some the other day and it literally had barely even a taste. I thought I had covid. It was watered down taste the peppers and stuff in it seemed like they were in their for a bit and old I thought there was a piece of meat. I used to eat it in one setting now I barley finish.
