The customer service is so bad at this location. I've had JEWEL at the check out stand twice and she has just been so rude. She crushed all my chips and did not greet me or try speaking to me at all. She threw my produce around causing bruises on my apples. read more

This is not one of the cleaner Vons locations. It is in an older building, so this could be their problem. The produce looks okay, but not stellar like other locations, and the service is a little slower. read more

Horrible customer service. I was so excited to use my digital coupon in which I downloaded while waiting 35 minutes in line. The cashier Jorge was ringing and bagging customers groceries. I noticed a lady was complaining about him and when finally it was my turn, he didn't greet me, started scanning my food and when I asked about my coupon, with an attitude he said something under his breath and after asking about my water he had a terrible attitude. So my response was if you're going to be rude I will be rude. He said fine, cashed me out and didn't bother to bag my groceries. I was so upset after being patient and this miserable man, bringing me down to his level. This is not the first bad experience, he's actually the second male cashier there to be so rude and I've had to complain about their attitude. I know nothings going to change so I'm done supporting this store. I rather drive out of my way and not support my city than deal with this store. read more

One of a few neighborhood grocery/markets and I've come through probably hundreds of times in the last two decades and I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! They have some good deals with seafood and that's what I primarily come here for. That last visit wasn't even planned. I stopped by T-Mobile next door for a transaction, and remembered being out of eggs. And cooking oil. I had time, so I came through. Eggs were on sale (with a clipped digital coupon) and noticed Hubbers' preferred coffee creamer brand was also on sale (also with a clipped digital coupon), so grabbed those as well! Got the cooking oil and was outta there in no time! But not before I checked out the seafood deli, and found a few great deals on crabs and shrimp. Didn't get any, but maybe sometime soon. I had trouble at the self checkout area and staff was more than willing to resolve it. Will most likely return soon! read more

The produce for the most part is fresh. I've gone once or twice where the grapes need to be replaced but, other than that the produce has been good. The whole store is pretty organized when I do stop by to purchase my produce, drinks, snacks etc. whenever I've needed help most of the people who work there have been helpful and polite. Older cacusian lady that works here needs to retrained or let go. How is it that it takes her 10 minutes to process one person everytime I come here??? Visited on 5/18 and noticed a horrible smell as soon as you enter the store. The further back you go and the stronger the smell gets. Some meat went bad or some meat juice spilled and no one has bothered to clean it for a couple of days. Very unsanitary. read more

I bought strawberries and blueberries along with some other fruit here on Tuesday evening. Let me tell you that the quality of fruit at Vins has declined drastically. Compared to me grabbing some of the same fruit at Aldi's two weeks ago at a much cheaper price their quality was much better. It seems like Ralphs and ALDIs now have the best fresh fruit in the 90249 surrounding area. This is sad because I've always liked Vons, but learned my lesson. read more

Well, where do I start? I don't particularly like this Vons they seem to always disappoint me their service is just okay nothing to brag about. If you need something catered for an event be careful with this location they tend to cancel your orders last minute with no remorse. I can say one thing their store is clean and fully stocked as far as customer service that's okay too nothing stands out. I do love the different varieties of rotisserie chicken they have in the deli section. Once again just make sure when you cater that you do a follow-up the day before other than that they'll have all your other grocery needs. read more

The grocery store is OK but there's something very wrong with the gas station part of the store. Several days ago I tried two different pumps and could not that either one of them to take my money and allow me to pump gas and then I tried the attendant and I couldn't hear him and so I gave up and drove away. I had to go back on another day and I managed to get a pump that worked according to the normal Procedures. This has happened to me before, and it's absolutely ridiculous. It's a basic Von's. Can sometimes be super crowded, and with only a few lanes open. Have only used the restrooms a few times, but have found them to be dirty. The selection of food and products here is good. The prices are fair and there are a lot of discounts if you have a Vons card. The Starbucks and Pharmacy have met my expectations as well. read more

I read some of the reviews and went anyway. I found this store to be clean and orderly. Maybe this is after COVID-19 cleaning crackdown, either way I enjoyed my experience. As far as the lines regarding Covid 19, they had 1 full item register open and 1 15 item or less open which made it seem long but it really wasn't. One thing I like to do is bring a cart in from the parking lot to save time and to be helpful. But you can't do that here, you have to walk in and pass the turnstile (like a train station) and then get your basket, the area is a little small and if a lot of people are trying to get one - watch out. All and all the store and my experience was acceptable. Maybe they read the other bad reviews and decided to step it up. read more

The produce is exceptionally fresh all the time. Especially the grapes! The staff is friendly and so very helpful. It's almost as if they go out of their way to be nice to you. The store is very clean and organized which made it easy for me to find all the items I needed. And the lines at the time were flowing just fine. My first visit and what a beautiful store :) Other than a nice layout and pretty clean store I was not impressed with the Deli department at all. The hot case looked in bad shape meats were dried out and a few pans were empty and burned :( The service on the other hand was terrible a tall guy with no smile no customer service skills was not inviting at all The cheese slices were cut way to thin and now are all stuck together , the pound of ham was over And just thrown into bag after he took out a handful and tossed it aside. I'm starting this review by saying that I only go to Vons if I'm in a serious bind on time and can't make it to Sprouts or just need one or two ingredients. Or if I want flowers and cards! Flowers: They normally have a very nice selection of flowers that are typically fresh and don't have "burned-looking" edges on their petals. Sometimes they also have great deals on small glass vases, which I like to look at every once in a while when I want to pick some up for my co-workers. However, there have been times where I've walked in and there wasn't a large selection of nice flowers. Sometimes there were slim pickings, but I could still typically find something. Also, there is a young woman behind the flower counter that is always helpful and she's really fast and friendly when I've checked out with her. Cards: A whole aisle dedicated to cards and I can always find something for some type of occasion. I like that they have a section for $1 cards and they have all types - religious, birthday, funny, just because, sympathy, congratulations, wedding, baby, shower, etc. Service: This is directed to almost all the cashiers I've encountered, but there's one in particular that is just always having a horrible day when I plant my groceries on her conveyor belt. The one exception, like I mentioned earlier, is the person behind the flower counter. She's always nice. There's this older woman who always has her hair down and she's Latino with long curly black hair. She almost never says anything to me when I check out with her. BUT if she knows the person right after me or if a co-worker is walking by, she will have a full blown conversation with them...while she's checking out my items! While she's giving me my change! While she's handing me my receipt. While I'm about to grab my bag and leave. And she's normally the only person working in the morning and they don't have another cashier open!! So I'm stuck! OR...if she's NOT having a conversation...she says "Hi" back to me and that's all I hear from her. But I keep saying "Hello". I keep saying "Thank You" and I keep saying "Have a nice day." This review is for the pharmacy. The pharmacy staff was very deceiving and were not truthful. I 1st called to see if they had my particular prescription in stock, they said yes. I came in and dropped off my prescription to later get a call saying they don't and they would have to order and I agreed. They called me back again and said that my insurance won't cover it, and that I would need to get prior authorization from my doctor, in which was not true. They called my doctor and they submitted prior authorization to my insurance. My insurance gave the same response in which my prescription IS covered and prior authorization is not required. I received a letter confirming the eligibility for my prescription. When the staff called my doctor I was informed that the pharmacy was rude and hung up on the staff that worked for my doctor. Not sure why they didn't want to fill the prescription but how it was handled was unprofessional and I will no longer be spending money here. read more

Store manager- John Selof Cashier- Laura Western union hours: 9am - 9pm Vons: 6am - 12am Yesterday I arrived at Vons at 12 to pick up money from western union. I asked for the form and filled it out completely. I told the cashier I want to receive money as I handed her the form. She said the lady that does the western union is at lunch she'll be back around 1pm. I asked for manager, and was told why ask for him, he can't do it. I left. Today at 10am I approached the counter and asked to receive money from western union Laura the cashier said we don't open until 11. I immediately asked to speak to the manager, John Selof. She went to the office said a few words and I could hear John say distinctively, "who's mad about western union". Then he comes out the office. I tell him I'd like to receive money from western union he says it's closed. I showed him the posted hours of operation from yelp and google. His response I've been working here 6 months and I've been opening at 11am. He said my employee that operates the western union doesn't get in until 11am. I explained I was here yesterday with another issue. Obviously he didn't want to help or assist as a manger should. So I asked for a complaint form. They no longer have those forms. It is 2017. So I asked for a receipt with the store information. John grabbed a receipt, ripped it in half and gives me the bottom half that doesn't contain the information necessary for a complaint. I grabbed a pen then wrote his name John as her name Laura. I told him thank you. Walked out the store, walked back in and asked Laura for a receipt that contains the store information, which she did. I then showed her the receipt John gave me. Then I left. I called the customer service line they assisted me and were very polite. The incident will be handled by the district manager. read more
