Regarding employees during their shift interacting with the Pokémon Machine. During work hours we were shopping for waters and extraS and we were going towards the Pokémon Machine when we noticed 2 employees beat us to it. One was a security guard and the other was a worker dressed in black who kept a look out. Once they got the product from the machine they went back to their post. Obviously this was during their work hours and not during the break. Called their # number and spoke to the manager on shift and he said there was no policy against it. He didn't seem to care and it was evident why. I checked their yelp and noticed the manager himself has been caught doing this before and it was posted on their store yelp. Our incident happened today 1/31/25 around 9:30-940am. If the workers were off their shift or before their shift maybe I'd understand, unfortunately this isn't the case this time around. read more

I am a long-time customer of your store and am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding an incident that occurred at one of your locations -- specifically the 11507 s western Ave store. On the morning of April 19, 2025 I, along with several other customers, was waiting outside the store before its scheduled opening time of 6:00 AM in hopes of purchasing newly released Pokémon products. To our dismay, we witnessed a male employee in a pink shirt, who we understand is the store manager, entering the store before opening hours and purchasing those items for himself. This is considered my local grocery store which infuriates me because I drive to another city just to get a clean parking lot, quality customer service, fresh produce and much more. I wish this location was aesthetically appealing like the neighborhoods that have Whole Foods and Trader Joes. This food 4 less has changed for the better. I've been coming here for years and hadn't been her since it was remodeled ( a few years now). They have a vast majority of well branded food items at a reasonable price. Their veggies were very fresh and fully stocked. They have long aisles and they're very spacious as well, making it easier for people to go around. Their customer service is good as well. The location looks fine. They need signs posted stating there is a $3 fee for using an ATM card. You don't see any notice until you have processed all your groceries and go to slide your ATM card into the card reader. It's in small print on the card reader and the absolute worst time to cancel your purchase in a long line of locals. It's scandalous and should be known before you enter the line. Poor business practice. Multiply that $3 by 1000 customers and that by the number stores and you get greedy Junk Fees. I didn't feel like making a scene so I did not cancel my purchase although I had enough cash to cover it. Frustrated! read more

Good selection and they try hard to keep the entire store squeaky clean, bathrooms are nice because you need to get a key or have someone open it for you . I haven't been to this location in a while. This used to be my go-to food 4 less. It's so clean and very very organized. In some locations you may see items laid to the side that belongs in another part of the store but not this location. There is plenty of parking because the lot is huge. read more

My wife wanted arepa flour, and both my nearby Latino market and the El Super on Century was out of the one she wanted. I thought I'd drive out to Food 4 Less and see if she'd luck out. I didn't feel luck was on my side after several sweeps of the aisles, so I asked an employee if he was familiar with it. Ruben was his name, and while I couldn't quite describe what it was, I showed him a pic on my phone and he knew immediately what it was. He took me to an aisle I already had visited and he too had no luck. Then he called several markets to see if they had inventory. As it stood, I had to go to Hancock Park to get what I needed; otherwise, it seemed to be a supply chain issue (like a lot of things these days). Decided to call it a day (and, yes, I have an understanding wife), but Ruben's customer service was above and beyond, and should be recognized. If I didn't live so close to that trashy Ralph's, I'd pay Food 4 Less more visits. Certainly I'll try to support the place when I can. read more

I grew up in Inglewood and still come back once or twice a week because my dad still lives there, i have only shopped at this Food4Less location once and that was a good 10 years ago, i just got back home from shopping there today and it was SPECTACULAR. I shop at the Downey location every week which is by my house. This one is MUCH better stocked, roomy and clean. Alot of items that ive never seen at a Food4Less. The produce and meat sections are beautiful. And this one has a gas station which the Downey location doesnt, so i never get to use my monthly gasoline discount. Plenty of employees to help and they actually say hello. And the cashier that checked me out, receipt says Ashley W, was super nice, and she was training someone. This is my new Food4less. read more

The remodeled store looks great! It's double the size of the first one. Finally a cool community store. What ever you need its there. There's plenty of parking space and they even have a gas station. Cheap gas too. The store is clean and well stocked. The restrooms are clean and environmentally designed. Even though it can gets busy they have a lot of cashiers to get you out. Don't forget to bring your bags for your groceries & if you forget, don't worry you can purchase some bags (sometimes they don't charge you). Shhh! I love the great buys, and the fresh produce. If you don't feel like cooking dinner they have hot food including the roasted and fried chicken. It's always fresh and tasty. There's also a bakery and butchers station. I do wish for a coffee station and more organic and gluten food. But, we finally have a nice store. Thanks! read more

I never find a full selection of fruit and vegetables. Something is always empty there. The milk is always empty. If you go anytime after 6 pm don't expect to find all your groceries. Yes the store got remodeled. Yes is large but what does it matter if they don't stock enough basic foods. I have had it with people in 1 line and then they send their child to another line to see which line moves faster. That is ridiculous and ghetto. How do you expect to go in front of someone else that has been waiting patiently. Ridiculous ghetto people. If they have eyes they can see which line has less people and less groceries... Their customer service sucks I asked this one girl who I guess was a sweeper/cashier. There was a sign for the twelve pack cases of soda for $2.49. I asked if there is a promotion on this or do I have to buy more than one. She said she wasnt sure and she said she'll go check them. I waited like ten minutes she never came back. I like the vast selection of foods. Being a new customer at this location I was surprised at the negligence of the tall latino guy stocking perishables in the dairy/yogurt/lunch meat encasements. He moved like a turtle and left the doors wide open! I politely told him the importance of keeping perishables cold and stop lagging. He ignored me. I didn't have time to find a manager. AWFUL - This new remolded of the store WAS great about almost a year ago.... But NOW, this shit is horrible. Let me tell you all why..... 1. THE PARKING LOT - it's dirty as shit, carts are EVERYWHERE in the lot, the shoppers absolutely cannot drive through that lot. 2. THE STORE: there's hardly anything on the shelves that I particularly need to purchase, especially in the produce section. Near their DELI department there's a heating rack where they keep their baked chicken and precooked fried chicken wings right ... NO LIE, you can obviously tell that people have been picking at it, eaten out of with the tops off of them sitting there as if you left it open on your kitchen counter .. It's literally pieces of wings bitten off of and placed back into the tray. WHO DOES THAT???? 3. THE PEOPLE - ok... Now, there have been times when I have walked in there with some sweats and my mans size 13 Nike slippers with a hat on or something however ... There is NO reason why ALOT of the shoppers there come in dressed as if they fell out of bed, just coming from the club at 6:30a looking horrific, wearing clothes that are waaaay to small for their big asses with slits n shit in their rights and 100 big ass homes in their ripped jeans, wearing multi colored weaves that don't even LOOK like the weave was installed properly or they've kept the shit in too long so it's looking crazy .. And DONT forget about the parents who cannot control THEIR KIDS. I'm not about to get into that .... 4. CHECKOUT - lines are ridiculously too long every time I'm in there. There's maybe about 3-4 cashiers (poor cashiers) there certain nights to assist all of us customers ... It never fails, I'm always behind the woman with the WIC, or behind someone or a couple who needs cigarettes or alcohol which means that the cashier has to leave the register, go get THEE ONLY KEY to open the cabinet, get the merchandise or try and figure out what the customer was asking for, GIVE the key back then come back to the register, which all of this takes approx 4-5 minutes to do which is a long time to be waiting on TOP of waiting 15 minutes to get to the front. Store is still great but they need to stary asking for the gas reward card so we can earn points towards this high gas in the CA. You need to get into pratice of asking for the gas rewards card too instead of trying to ask us if we need bags to purchase. Like another customer mentioned below cashier Shelly is the best. She always has the warmest greetings and farewells. The store seems to have a problem with stocking fruits and veggies here and there and doesn't have a large selection of food which I find a problem with many grocery stores in the area. The store is otherwise clean and the prices are better than other nearby stores. I do hate the way the parking lot is set up and when leaving the stop light takes waaaay to long to change....I am surprised they haven't called to fix that problem as it creates a backup to get out of there.
