I am so excited to have found such a fabulous store in Los Angeles. Not only the presentation and the products, but the variety. Whether you are looking for a gift for yourself or to purchase items to give as a gift, you will be impressed. It isn't just your predictable, run of the mill Italian market either. It is very eclectic & has a wide assortment, from gorgeous dishware from Puglia to foods like pastas and sweets, oils, spices & all kinds of jarred goods (try the anchovies, they are truly amazing!). As an Italian American from the Tri State who's Uncle from Italy owned an Italian grocery, I know my stuff & I am very picky! Bucatini does not disappoint. I was just there yesterday and bought the cutest Christmas ornaments, candy and my childhood favorite, Black Pepper Tartalles! Also, the vibe there, is off the charts cool. Owners Victoria & Sofia offer a level of customer service that is a rarity these days and the reason I will go back time & time again. Squisito!

A fantastic first haul from Bucatini. Pasta, sardines, pesto, squid, mustard and matzo chips!

What a gem in the heart of Echo Park. Forget about Eataly, Bucatini is the go to for all things authentic Italian and more. The staff were so helpful with getting me the items I needed and introduced me to some really awesome stuff I had no idea even existed. Extensive mustard collection here that I found incredible. The pasta selection is also amazing. The best part is the pricing. Everything is approachable in price and worth every cent.

Five stars for Bucatini! I'm so happy this place opened up in the neighborhood. It's full of delicious goodies and will be a weekly shopping spot for me. I love their selection and am excited to see them grow. Also, the owners are two friendly ladies who are very welcoming and knowledgable about the selection! Couldn't ask for anything more!

Their marinated galbi short ribs are delicious, their marinade tastes like restaurant quality. There's also a good selection of marinated meats. They also serve hot foods like Korean fried chicken, kimbap, fried rice, and japchae located towards the back of the store. There's also a good selection of banchans, and I love their kimchi. The store is clean and well stocked. The lines for registers tend to move fast. Parking is free for two hours in the structure with validation. I had just come back from going…read moreout and ran into my mom in front of the elevator, and she asked me to go to the market with her. But honestly, this place is absolutely terrible and horrible. Both my mom and I agreed that we will never come back here again. My mom had come to get a refund because one of the pears she bought the day before was completely rotten. The market manager refunded $2 to her credit card, which was fine. The real problem started after that. When my mom was trying to drive out of the parking lot, the gate bar went up after scanning the parking ticket, but then suddenly came crashing down. If my mom hadn't quickly backed up, it could have hit her car. The bigger issue was that after that, the gate bar never went back up again. Cars behind us had to use another exit nearby. My mom, who was very shaken, went to ask the market manager what to do, but she said she didn't know. (At first, I stayed in the car and had to tell the cars behind us to use the other exit because the gate was not working). I was very upset when I heard that, so I went inside and asked the manager for the building management's contact number. She gave me a number, but when I called, the person who answered kept saying she couldn't find the address even after I repeated it more than ten times. Eventually, she told me they no longer manage that building. So I asked her to provide the contact number for the property management that handles the building, and she gave me another number. but it led to an automated system. After selecting the emergency option, a man answered, but even after I clearly spelled out "Zion" multiple times (Z as in Zebra, I as in Ice cream, O as in Oscar, N as in Nancy), he still couldn't understand and then told me that they no longer manage the building and hung up. We arrived at the market around 5 PM and didn't get out until 7 PM. No one helped us at all. After the call, I went back to the market manager again, but she still said she didn't know anything. It made me so angry--how can a manager not even know the property management contact for the building they work in? I also have low blood sugar, so when I get hungry, I start shaking. I ended up buying a piece of bread from the Paris Baguette inside the market. I didn't have cash with me, so I had to pay $3.50 with my card, but thankfully, the staff there was very kind. In the end, my brother had to come all the way from Burbank to get a new parking ticket for us so we could finally get out--after two hours. If he hadn't come, we might have been stuck there even longer or had to abandon the car. Thinking about it now still makes me extremely angry. The customer service is terrible, the building management is a mess, and there was no security at all. I never want to come back to this place. We spent two hours there, from 5 PM to 7 PM, completely wasting our time. Because of this, I couldn't do anything I had planned for the rest of the afternoon and evening. It was an absolute nightmare. My mom was also very upset and couldn't believe a place like this exists. FYI) Every time I come to this market, there is absolutely no cell phone signal., which is another major downside.

Similar to other Asian market set ups you'll be able to pick up hot food and other items like sashimi as well as other Japanese snacks and goodies. I also happened to pick up some good protein shakes on sale there as well as noted some other staples that I would find in big chain supermarkets. I found the aisles to be well stocked. Prices everywhere are going up so I wouldn't say this is the cheapest place to shop but for what you get it's not bad, and if you are looking to get a variety of what you need for Asian cooking this is a good spot for it. Service was quick and friendly at the register as this no frills and casual market. There is a parking garage behind the grocery as part of the mall but it can get crowded on weekends so if you're lucky you can find street parking but watch for street signs and some areas and streets are not in the best neighborhoods adjacent so be wary of your surroundings.

I asked her how things worked and she explained it all. The kefir/kombucha bottles are $4 for 16 oz and they have 3 of each on tap. I asked Marcy about one before realizing everything had a QR code and you can easily pull up the ingredients and descriptions/directions for each item. I'm getting away from plastics and this place scratches me right where I itch! They sell just about anything you can imagine! I was so impressed w the selection! They even have produce and fresh sourdough bread! The day old is 50% off and I'm so mad I was in a pinch and had to buy store bought bread, otherwise I would've tried it today. I can't say enough. Even the music was fire and I was shazaming and jamming. Shower gels, body care, non seed oils, baking mixes, laundry pods and things you see in bulk at like Sprouts, but the quality and sourcing seems to be better. Some items don't need jars and they sell paper bags for .10 each. I did a kombucha/kefir tasting. Marcy brought these steel bowls over. No waste at all! If you drink the POG kefir soda at Erewhon and love it, try it here! It's made w fruit and is noticeably better! And POG there is my fave. Just try it at Re_!!! So when I was checking out I asked Marcy about being more prepared and bringing my own glasses next time. They've thought of everything!!!! There's iPads and scales in the front of the store. They weigh your empty containers and give you a sticker with the tare weight and then subtract it from the weight at the end! Revolutionary! They add 3% for the employees. I should've added more. Marcy was amazing and worth it. I'm honestly not big on tipping everyone for just breathing but if all the employees are like Marcy, they are worth way more than 3%! If you sign up you get 100 points instantly, $1 = 1 pt, and at 200 pts you get $10! It's not hard to spend in places like this but it's beyond worth it. I keep seeing things about the harms of plastic and don't get me started on all the other crap in our food. I foresee this as a new staple in my diet and home. They even have cleaning products! I'm getting my spices here from now on too! I'm a fan and I'll be back! Thank you Marcy and to the owners that had this amazing idea!
