Customer service sucks... My exoerience has been that most of the people that I interacted with are sarcastic, abrasive, and condescending. I have patronized this parts store on various occassions over the years. They offer good parts at a good price. However. The only time I felt like I spoke with an employ that acted as if he actually appreciated my business and wasn't sarcastic and condescending was when I interacted with the black employee that worked there... The other employs have been rude and arrogant. They make smart remarks. They spoked to me as if I was ignorant. As if I was bothering them. As if they are doing me a favor. I am not trying to assume that this is how they interact with other customers. But I will say that I am a black man and the only person that I feel respected by at this business is a fellow black man. That's all I'm saying... read more

I just got off of the phone with Bill and I am amazed how anyone can stay in business with someone like him on staff. I started by sending an email asking if they had some soec parts that I needed in stock. The response came back kind of confusing because there were different fonts and it was broken up into sections. Anyway I followed his advice and called when I had time and he was very condescending to me and told me that I needed to go out and check my car to confirm what I actually needed (even though I told him repeatedly what I needed and he made a point of telling me that I was repeating what I was saying. He ended up hanging up on me! All I was trying to do was clearly communicate what I needed and buy it. Kinda hard to do when your being talked down to and then hung up on! If you've got an old Volvo, these are your dudes. Came to Voluparts twice looking for a used part for a '92 Volvo 940 on advice of my mechanic. Blower fan was not running, my mechanic's theory was that the fan control unit had failed. Tried replacing that, no luck. Back to the drawing board. Made a second trip out under the advice of my mechanic to buy a blower fan motor. Bill (Voluparts owner) recommended that I come by to simply plug in the blower fan motor to see if it would turn out. I obliged, imagining the process would be as simple as popping the Volvo's hood, unplugging one thing and plugging it into the new fan motor. I came woefully unprepared -- turns out I needed to dismantle my car's console and glove compartment area in order to access the fan motor. I did not bring the required tools but Voluparts was nice enough to loan me theirs. After a couple of hours and some friendly hand-on support we were able to get the fan back up and running and blowing cool air again! 5 star service, affordable parts! Highly recommended read more

Not a whole lot to say since my predicament was pretty simple. Without getting too deep in the details: As most of the reviews seem to say as well, the dealer was going to charge me an arm and a leg to fix a microscopic external crack causing some unwanted side effects; they said their only option was to replace the whole part. I called Voluparts, and even though they didn't have a part for me in stock, they told me to come by anyway to get it looked at. I dropped by the same day, was in and out in 20 minutes with my issue patched up, and let's just say my wallet is still in the same condition as when I arrived. These guys are awesome! I just bought my daughter her first car - a used Volvo XC60, and it was in showroom condition, with the exception of a missing side mirror turn signal lens. The dealership that I purchased it from said it would be expensive to fix with parts and labor, and since it was a used car, it was being sold as-is, so I Googled Volvo parts, and found the Voluparts website, and didn't even realize they were so close to us. The part was less than $30, and when I asked how much it would be to install it, they quoted me $5.00 for a five minute job. Then, I sent my daughter alone, so that she could learn how to be responsible for her own car, and they didn't even charge her to install it, and made the process super easy for a 16 year old new driver. I'm from California. The Volvo Club of America steered me toward these folks for parts. I have 2 used Volvos and one new one. I have yet to ask for a part that they don't have! Even odd stuff like a jack and lug wrench for a 2003 was sent right out and at a great price. Believe what they say on the webpage-don't see a part that you need, call them or email them! I live in Fort Worth, TX. We have Volvo dealerships and parts shops sitting on top of each other here in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. I own a 2001 V70 that is beginning to experience nagging check engine issues. After spending over 5k with the FTW dealership service dept last year I finally found my own mechanic. That is the best thing that has happened in terms of my vehicle maintenance. The second best is finding VOLUPARTS. I have ordered used a new parts on four separate occasions over the past couple of months. I have not had to return any of the parts. They have fit perfectly and the vehicle runs better than ever. Trust these guys. I would suggest calling on parts that you do not see on the website. If your Volvo needs it they will have it. Their customer service is top notch.
