This was probably my best experience dealing with auto repair place. Usually I feel like I'm getting taken advantage of because no matter I have to get my car fixed. They told me exactly what was wrong , and when I tell people the price they be like wow. That is a great price to get your wheel bearing assembly replaced. First off, Bien was extremely professional and communicative during the whole process. She was great to work with. Took our explorer in for a new water pump which required the entire engine to be taken apart. Did it much quicker than the other quotes we got and for a much more fair price. We also had a small paint chip on our hood and they contacted the body shop nearby and was able to set that up while they worked on our vehicle. Family run business and you can tell they take a lot of pride in the work. I have found my new mechanic and auto shop. read more

0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. I called Franklin Auto Repair shop to get a price quote for a transmission. Bien responded back asking if I needed parts and labor and I let her know no, only the part. She responds back saying "wait you don't need us to install it" I then responded "is that an issue ?" She responds back with she's waiting to hear back from the vender to get me a quote on the transmission and gave me a quote of $1500 for labor. She then lets me know the price for the transmission will be 2452. I let her know great I would be there in the morning to make the payment. I arrive the following morning and everything is great so far, I'm talking to her and let her know upfront that I was going with my mechanics Auto repair for labor but they had a better price on the transmission. she proceeds to say ok and draft of the paperwork... this is where things took a turn. I go to make the transaction and noticed the price jumped from $2452 for the part to $3952 for parts and labor, when asked about the price increase she claims that was always the price. I corrected her and said this pricing reflects labor and parts and let her know I only need parts. She then ask me where would I get the part delivered to. I let her know the shops name and she then proceeds to say well its 1000 pounds and you'll need a forklift to transport in and all this extra falsified statements. After asking where it would be delivered she tell me they can not sell me the part of im not getting the labor done there, keep in mind I walked in letting her know I was not getting my labor done here. Things started to take a turn when I called her out for trying to swindle me into getting my labor done there. She then becomes agitated once she realizes it's not gone be easy to run game on me and say "fine we can sell you the part but we won't be able to honor the 6 month warranty" that covered the PART ONLY.I proceed to correct her and let let know that's not valid or legal and she goes "you need to figure out what YOU want to do" Like I didn't explain my expectations in text and verbally walking in. As someone in Sales I understand profit is Not a bad word but what you won't do is swindle me into paying for something I don't need. Instead of profiting in $2452 for the part Bien and her automotive shop have lost out completely and handed Malones Auto Shop both the labor and the parts cost. I do highly recommend Malones Auto Shop, they are very direct and upfront with there intentions, there are no sales gimmicks and they not only got me a better deal on a transmission but also got me a better deal on the labor as well ! Im a very happy camper now thanks to them ! As far as Bien and her automotive shop goes, I will NEVER do business with this place and I recommend you don't either, and I'd you do please throughly read everything before signing anything. read more

Scam artist. I brought my car here to change a serpentine belt. Rented a car until service finished. Picked up my car and was on the road shortly when I noticed my hood was not closed. Open the hood to close it and serpentine belt was conveniently laying on the motor. Called Loc to tell him it was not changed. He lied a said my original belt broke while putting a new one one. Showed him a picture and caught him in a lie. Told me to bring it back. I told him I no longer wanted him to service my car and would like a refund. He told me he didn't care and wouldn't refund me. He doesn't have a non refundable policy. Low down dirty snake. Since I didn't use my credit card and used a debit card they could not get my money back. Police stated could not press charges. We THOUGHT we had finally found a decent mechanic shop but we were sadly mistaken! We initially went to Franklin's to have the struts replaced on my car. They did a decent job and didn't take long so we planned to come back for further repairs. Went to Franklins again to get the gaskets replaced on the engine. We dropped it off on a Wednesday and they said it would be done on Friday. Friday comes around and they say they need it another day. On Saturday they said it was ready, but when we got the car it still had maintenance lights on. They reset them and said to drive it around a bit and then come back if they are still on. They came back on so we took it back in. They kept it for the remainder of the weekend. When they called us back, we discovered they had broken almost of the connector pieces on the engine and wanted to charge us to fix it. They allowed an inexperienced mechanic to work on our car, and wanted us to pay to fix it! Since going to there shop I have had to spend almost thousands on trying to fix the mistakes they have caused to my car. I have had to replace batteries, spark plugs, the ABS is screwed, weak AC, and the car constantly shakes. None of which was an issue until I took it to them. Months later and my car is worse condition then when I took it in to Franklin's. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! read more

The technician even ADMITTED they were not the right struts but the owner REFUSED to replace them with the right ones!! I've always been a bit wary of mechanics, just because of all the horror stories you hear about going in for a $20 oil change and coming out with over $3000 in repairs you apparently need or your car is going to explode. This shop challenges those stories. The master mechanics there are really nice and understanding and will talk you through exactly what and how your car needs to be fixed. For someone who doesn't know the difference between a fender and bumper, a mechanic who'll take the time to walk me through everything is appreciated, not to mention hard to find. It's quite unfortunate that I have to do another post with such a low rating. Even though Mr.Ho does well on minor issues like an oil change or a filter replacement. When it comes to major issues there's always still issues wrong when he returns my car/truck. The most recent was a transmission replacement. He put in a used transmission with a "30 day warranty" even though the day we picked up the car the same issue was occurring and he never fixed it properly. So we were out almost $2000. What business owner can have cops showing up at his shop in a space of two days and brags about how he can get away with his scam? What business refuses any form payment besides Cash when there's any conflict? What shop basically goes into your car without having the parts to replace it? The obvious sign is the tons of abandoned damaged cars in the lot and how eager Loc/Ho is quick to throw a low quote at you with a paperwork requesting your signature to give him access to your car. He uses his limited English to say one thing and does something else. Before you can complain he'd have disabled your car in his lot and demand whatever labor cost he pleases without any pricing. We literally had to call the cops to the shop to get our car out of the shop after he demanded a ridiculously charge for unrendered services and demanded cash payment only. By far the worst auto repair place I've ever dealt with. They gave me a quote and I said let me think about it. They started working on the car by the weeked and when I got back on Monday, the car was taken apart and I had to pay over $300 for something I didn't authorize. The even took out parts and replaced them with used parts. Long story short, I paid $350 for a $57.82 job somewhere else. I should have read the reviews before going there. I'm ashamed of doing business with the owner of this place. He seems to be honest to get my car in the shop. He sounded like doing a huge favor for me and had me fell for it. Once the car is done and out of his shop and having problems, Mr. Loc Ho would deny any relation of the problem to his earlier services. I had the 90k service done by him in mid December and have had the timing chain failed, compressor locked up and pulley broke. All should have been diagnosed and taken care of as part of the service. Yup, definitely a CON ARTIST! I own an auto brokerage business and this repair shop is close to my office and used him to perform repairs . Mr. Loc charged me for a defective catalytic converter when it was simply an 02 sensor on one vehicle, $750. A leaking sunroof on another vehicle and was told it was broken beyond repair and charged me $1300 for a replacement. He actually sealed the original sunroof, DID NOT REPLACE, and charged me $1300 for the replacement that most likely didn't take long to repair the original sunroof. Was visiting from out of town and my car died. Had towed to Franklin Auto where he gave me a new water pump for just over 500 dollars and got the car started. The next morning it would not start again but that was Sunday 10/1/17 and Franklin Auto was closed. Had to pay another mechanic to fix my car and the issue was a 48.00 fuel relay. I was referred to Loc Ho at Franklin Auto Repair by a friend.I began taking my car to this shop for minor repairs and didn t question the service.As time went on, Mr.Ho began to make advances towards me that lead to him calling me after hours to make propositions towards me. He even went as far to make sexual comments to my friend, who was also his customer and requested that my friend set him up .The more I rejected his advances, the repairs started to worsen on my car.Suddenly my car was being returned to him every few weeks with a new problem.Often he would not provide me with receipts,and the ones I requested weren t legible enough to read.I cross referenced my receipts and discovered he charged me for replacing a timing belt supposedly three times.On once occasion my vehicle was short of oil causing the sensor to shut the engine off.He charged me to replace my engine with a used engine and denied that I was only in need of motor oil.On another occasion he told me I needed a transmission.So I replaced the transmission, but once I picked up the vehicle I returned it immediately telling him the transmission wasn t performing up to standards.He swore that the transmission was fine,it had a 30 day warranty and refused to exchange the transmission under the warranty, denying there was an issue.I made repeated visits to the shop in regards to this part stating to Mr.Ho that the transmission was faulty to no avail.After my last trip to the shop recently, my car broke down and was towed into his shop within 2 days later.Mr.Ho still stood his ground that my transmission was fine, that it was the catalytic converter.The next day I arrived at the shop after he failed to notify me after checking out my car.He told me that the car was junk,and that he had called an auction to see how much he could get rid of it for.He continued on to say the car needed an axle and transmission.I was furious.He said my warranty was no longer good and it would cost me $1700 to fix.I strongly believe that he never replaced my transmission in the first place and charged me for services not rendered.Days later he was still trying to coax me into selling my car and then told me the catalytic converter was also bad.I returned to the shop and towed my car to another shop.The car was fully inspected, and the axle and catalytic converter was not in need of being replaced.The transmission was gone and needed to be replaced.Mr.Ho s deceptive business practices cost me another $2,000 for a replaced transmission in addition to the 1st transmission he charged me for @ $1200,towing costs,and $1800 for an engine instead of charging me for motor oil that it actually needed.Mr.Ho failed to make good on his mistakes and I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau that Mr.Ho has failed to respond to as of yet. My next step is to file a small claims against Mr.Ho and Franklin Auto Repair.I will never take another vehicle to this repair shop.Remember, you get what you pay for.His flat rate estimates are what sells him business,but often he is using used parts off old and abandoned vehicles off his lot and most times than none he is lying about services that need to be repaired or replaced that isn t necessary.I am a mother of three and a child with multiple special needs. Mr.Ho has left me in very unpredictable circumstances by taking advantage of me and my family when I trusted him to provide exceptional service and repair my car.Mr.Ho is a crook. read more
