I am about to share all the details of my experience with Malones Automotive, which I strongly advise against due to the unnecessary hardship I endured. My primary concern was purchasing a vehicle outside of a Mercedes dealership, as I have always been cautious about buying non-CPO vehicles from dealerships that do not stand behind their products. On June 6, 2024, while serving as a Family Nurse Practitioner, I was involved in a severe accident caused by a seizure I had while driving. I lost control of my Mercedes C300, hitting a tree and two other vehicles. Because I was at fault, I cannot seek compensation for my medical bills or injuries, although my insurance covered the damages to others. I was surprised to learn that someone at Malones, who saw me in my wheelchair before I paid cash for my vehicle, was aware of my situation. As a dedicated professional, I work hard to provide for myself, and someone else paid for that car. The accident, which was my fault, turned into a life-threatening crisis. I was found unconscious in my vehicle with critical injuries. Mercedes responded immediately, calling 911 and locating me via Mercedes Me, which detected deployed airbags. I suffered a left Tension Pneumothorax, requiring emergency chest tube placement, along with fractured vertebrae (T7-T10) causing paralysis from the waist down, a traumatic brain injury, spleen rupture requiring transfusions, a lacerated kidney, abdominal hematoma, and multiple broken ribs. After four months in the hospital, I was discharged to begin a long recovery, focused on regaining independence as a disabled person. Having dedicated nearly a decade to my nursing career--earning my RN and then becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner--I am determined to walk, drive, and return to my profession. Transitioning from a compassionate healthcare provider to a spinal cord injury patient has been challenging, but I refuse to give up. I live in a mountainous region and do not always have good cell service. I received a call from Melvin Cain at Malones Automotive and was not able to connect the call. I could hear him but he could not hear me. I stayed on the call for 16 seconds trying to get him to hear me and then the call disconnected/dropped. I then received a text from him stating "You could of said you are no longer in the market. I only called because you inquired about the 2018 BMW 230i. I drove over 1.5 hours to come to this dealership to look at 2 cars that I really liked. The salesperson, Owen, was incredibly helpful and stayed late to work with my family and I on looking at the cars, test driving them and making a decision. I made the decision to buy a car and sat with a wonderful finance lady, Janice. When looking at the paperwork 2 things stood out: $799 dealership fee and $599 for a dealer installed LoJack system. The fees seemed high, but it is what it is because the dealer will do whatever they want with fees. I told them I do not want or need the LoJack system and would like it removed. They said it would be a problem with the owner. Per the communication from the owner to the team "a customer cannot come in and ask for that to be removed". Red Flag!! So that brings me to this review. In all the years of purchasing a vehicle, I have never seen a dealership go out of it's way to shove down the throat of a customer a dealership add on and force the customer to pay for it. Every dumb add on made by dealerships that did not come with the car and aren't on the window sticker (security systems, LoJack, paint items, etc.) should not be forced on the customer. Everything was in place with me as a Tier 0 customer, with great credit and ready to buy the car. Instead the sales manager and hence the owner, tell me that they will only discount $100. Maybe anyone else who is in love with a vehicle is willing to take the hit. Not me. The dealership made a decision to add something to a car that doesn't need it and that the customer doesn't want. They now lose a $45K deal because I believe in the principle of working with the customer and not forcing it on someone. Unfortunately, a great salesperson, Owen, loses the deal too because his management doesn't believe in working with the customer. I happen to be a customer who looks at every line item. Others won't care, and this dealership will make an easy $599 on them (along with the incredibly high $799 fees). Maybe dealerships feel that under the current circumstances they have the upper hand. Customers should not be bullied because the dealer feels they have some leverage. They lost a good customer and I will make sure to let anyone know how this dealership wishes to work with customers. For others, they will be blinded by the car and be easily screwed out of $1400 dollars - easy money for the dealer. Good luck and just be aware. read more

I contacted the dealership about a 2016 Porsche Panamera. I had to communicate to them through text messages and email due to being out of the country. For a few days the communication went well. I sent my nephew to test drive the vehicle. I told Melvin that I will get back with him after I received a report from my nephew. After communicating with my nephew, I asked Melvin to send me the maintenance work that was done on the vehicle. He said that it was sent , but I never received anymore communication with him. The vehicle selection at the time was great. Seemed like all vehicles were well maintained or Atleast well prepared. They gave me the most fair value for my trade in. They were super nice but not pushy like many car lots. I actually contacted them for than they contacted me. I asked to have everything ready when I got there so I could make the 5 hr drive back in time for a child's ball game. So I wanted to leave an honest review on this place considering everything from customer service to the car I purchased. For starters I worked with the salesman Melvin who was pretty decent as far as customer service goes. Once I drove the. Car after purchase the first week I noticed something strange about the way the car pulling. I took it back and told them that I felt like something was wrong. They looked at it and assured me that this is the way that trucks drive. I believed them because I was driving a sedan before and wasn't used to a truck. Shortly afterwards the AC went out completely and now 1 year later the freaking transmission blows!!! I would never recommend anyone to go to them to purchase a vehicle. I am very happy with my experience at this dealership. I moved to Atlanta from Florida a few years ago so I wasn't sure which dealership would be a good one to go to. After window shopping online I came across Malones on the carfax website. I was deciding between a few dealerships but after sending out a few emails this was who I went with and it was a very good experience. Jim was the gentleman who assisted me. When I arrived he had the car I was interested in already up front ready for me to look at and test drive. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the car. After the test drive I inspected the car to make sure I was happy with its overall condition. Once I decided to go through with the purchase Jim walked me through the application (for financing) . After that was completed I had to wait for financing. It wasn't a super long wait thank goodness. Once approved I worked with Janice in the financing department to finalize all the details. She was very friendly, funny and yet still professional. She did her best to get my payments where I wanted them to be and for that I was very grateful.
