Pretty decent quick lunch. The souvlaki wrap was anything but authentic but it was fresh, hot and the meat was tender. The falafel was shaped like a hush puppy as was borderline gross. Not a good flavor and was mushy and undercooked inside. Would not recommend the falafel. Hummus was decent if unremarkable. The only hot sauce they had was sriracha. Fine I guess but I'd rather have Tabasco on hummus. Things like feta are extra which seems odd to me for a supposed Greek place. Candace had a drink that was not good but I'm told the margaritas are good. I would come back as the wrap was very good and the service was attentive and friendly. read more

Volta is an Oxford staple and is not to be missed. Not to be restricted by the constraints of restaurant genres, they have a lot of good and unique food outside of the typical Greek offerings. They also make one of the best margaritas I've tasted anywhere in the country. read more

It's all about the Philly Cheesesteak wrap. After I left college and got married, we moved to Philly for over a year. The Philly Cheesesteaks in Philadelphia have nothing on Volta's. Just make sure you throw some Cavanders in there with it. The Hotty Toddy balls are also really good. This is the perfect place to take a date or just grab a nice slow dinner out on the deck. Had lunch with a couple of locals. Not a bad gyro, good flavor, kinda greasy, meet was a bit thick and chunky, thinner longer slices would have made a better gyro sandwich. Love this place for takeout or a lunch spot! Monday, Thursday, and Saturdays are 2-1 margaritas and definitely worth it! if you go here margs are a must! I've had the pita feta and tomato soup, the tomato soup is alright more of tomato sauce/marinara. The pita feta was yummy and great with feta dressing. The falafel balls are also relatively good. The food is decent but the margaritas make it just that much better. Im spoiled with greek/mediterranean food, so this place is only average compared to Keifers in jackson, ms. read more

It's hard to find lamb that is cooked correctly, but the beef and lamb gyro here is amazing. It's fresh and juicy, epilepsy the pita bread is just the right amount of chewy. Went to dinner at Volta on a Friday night. Despite the large crowd, the service was amazing! Started off with a round of Frozen Mojitos which were incredible. The Hotty Toddy balls are also great! I had the Greek Pizza which I would definitely recommend as well. Finished the night off with the house margarita on the rocks. Staff favorite margs are one of my favorite drinks in all of Oxford!!! I love going to Volta for appetizers and drinks. Not the best spot for a 'full on' dinner, as their menu is quite small. Get the dip plate or the Hotty Toddy balls and you can't go wrong! read more

Hotty Toddy balls are amazing! It's like some took a loaded baked potato rolled em up and deep fried em so good for an appetizer and there's plenty with their serving! The Lamb & beef gyros were also very good although it was extra to add feta cheese which seemed odd to me at a Greek restaurant. But they were loaded with all kinds of meat, definitely hits the spot when craving some Greek food! read more

Volta is my favorite restaurant in Oxford. Didn't try it until about a year ago, but now I can't get enough. Their margs are the bomb and their pimento cheese is even better. They have everything from greasy pizzas and wraps to healthy salads. I always sit on the porch outside because the atmosphere inside is a little dull. read more

This place is great. Good food, friendly staff! The outdoor seating area is dog friendly and shaded. Plenty of vegetarian offerings (as well as meats, but that's not my thing). I usually get either the blackbean wrap or Falafel with a side of sweet potato fries. The walnut and goat cheese salad is also excellent. I can hardly bear to go to Oxford without popping in here. Our favorite is the dip platter with hummus and a feta "pimento cheese" that's garlicky and different. I've had the greek sliders, the stew, a gyro, the lemon chicken gyro and all were very good. We get to go often but the in-house dining is fun and casual. Prices are great - $12 and under for entree and dip plates. They have WW pita, also, which we love. They also have a great spicy chicken stew on the menu. read more

One word. AMAZING!! The pita bread and hummus appetizer is phenomenal! You can't go wrong with the Lamb & Beef Gyro, but if you're feeling a little daring I would go for The Philly. Tender beef with sweet onions and lettuce rolled up in a warm piece of pita bread. YUM!! The Hotty Toddy balls are also quite wonderful (kinda difficult to eat though...) and if you're in need for some yummy comfort food I would try the homemade tomato soup! I have been a fan of Volta for years. The hummus is delicious, and the pita melt is one of my favorite dishes in town. The patio is great for pretty days. I have been to several large group gatherings here, and the staff does a good job of taking care of large tables. Highly recommended! read more

I love Volta. One of my favorite places in Oxford to go to with friends and have a good time. The food is delicious. The only reason I'm taking off stars is because my friends and I went tonight and I received the worst service I have ever had. We waited for 20 minutes for someone to come by our table (only because I had to wave our server down) and was greeted with "what do you want to order." I understand it was a little busy, but at least apologize or introduce yourself or something! The next time we saw our server was when he brought us our check. And then once we paid didn't apologize for the lousy service or thank us for coming in. Of course I will be back, but hell the food runner came to our table more than the server. I'm not one to complain about service (because I work in the food industry) but this was just awful. read more
