Came up to Oxford to see family. The son-in-law found this restaurant so we figure "why not". The Restuarant exterior is part of a gas station / convenience store. If you blink, you will miss it....we had do a u-turn. Here are things ordered: 1. F1-Sesame fried rice w chicken - 5 Stars A great balance of sesame oil with a hint of tamarind and palm sugar. Will definitely get it again 2. N1- Pad Thai w Chicken - 5 Stars. ask for Thai hot- we all LOVE it! And that is saying something for us. And "yes", I am a food snob to Pad Thai and I will add this to #2 on my place to go for Pad Thai. My number 1 place is Far Away Places, in Meridian, MS. 3. S1 - Tom Yum w fresh shrimp - 3.75 Stars. A light broth with some heat and fresh veggies 4. E8 - Nua Nam Tok w beef- 3 1/2 Stars - expecting minced meat but it was presented as sliced steak. Served hot with fresh veggies on top of cold lettuce and hot rice. It was good and flavorful. 5. E7 - Larb Kai w chicken - 3/2 Stars - expecting a Larb style for the chicken (minced meat) but is was more diced. This dish is similar to the Nua Nam Tok for the other items. Even though the last two dishes wasn't as great, it was still good and flavorful. The veggies are fresh and refreshing to the dish. Not overly cooked. Will definitely come back to try other selections from the menu. Oh, one more thing, they do not have the Banh Mi sandwich anymore. There is a picture out with an outdated menu. No big thing...just more FYI.

    Drunken noodles

Drunken Noodles, they ask how spicy from 1- 5 mine is at a level 2. The spring rolls are great! As well as the clear vegetable soup. I recommend the pot stickers, & pad Thai too. The workers are really nice people that provide great service!

Best Pad Thai in Oxford! They have huge portions and the food is very well seasoned. One of my favorite lunch spots.

They're a little slow right now. Short handed. But it's always a solid choice! Pad See Ew will not disappoint!

Very fresh. I love the pad Thai. Lunch comes with choice of spring roll or soup. I always get the spring roll.

Food is good, but terrible service. I would recommend only eating inside. Ordering to-go is always a nightmare. Something is always wrong.

Awesome food and plentiful portions. The decor is basic, but the flavors are very colorful.

This is the second restaurant of this kind to open this month. They are almost identical, from the…read moremenus to the interior decor and even the friendliest of waitstaff. Based on what items my husband and I eat at these two restaurants the value is a little better here. Our choices costs $1.00 less and they come with soup and salad, whereas Yamato just offers the entree with no extras. http://www.yelp.com/biz/yamato-steak-house-of-japan-corinth One deciding factor as to which restaurant will be the most popular, in our opinion, will be their ability to maintain high quality. Of course, Tokyo will see a higher volume of traffic due to their location in a shopping center near the Walmart Supercenter and movie theater, but to me success means repeat customers. If the quality isn't there I do not go back at all, or I take a break from the place for a few months and let them have a chance to regroup. The main differences between these two, practically mirror image restaurants, are the number of dishes offered and the taste of the onion soup and the miso soup. Yamato only offers the two soups, whereas Tokyo offers seven flavors. The soup base at Yamato is the same so it doesn't matter which soup you order...both tastes the same. Beef lovers, such as my husband, will have much more to choose from here at Tokyo, with upward of 30 variations to pick from. You can eat here everyday for 2 1/2 weeks and have nothing but tempura options, with at least 14 of them being shrimp. The New China Buffet has been the place to go for sushi and stir-fry foods for the past decade, but with this new blood and competition they are adding a hibachi buffet area to their restaurant and it will be functioning within a week (end of Dec and there aren't any details yet as far as price and availability). http://www.yelp.com/biz/new-china-buffet-corinth The hibachi salmon entree was my first choice for the grand opening visit to Tokyo and was not disappointed in the least. It is served with fried rice, vegetables, soup and a salad. My husband chose to try the NY Strip hibachi entree served with the same options. I don't know what their secret is to obtaining such tender steak but it is better than most steak houses and definitely better than almost any steak sold in this town. Let's see if it is just as good tomorrow.

The total came out to nearly $60.00 and this is what we got.. the special rolls only have 8 per order same as the classic but double the price. They also only included 3 packets of soy sauce for all of the sushi. I won't be ordering from this place again I'll be sticking with Yomato

I ordered the seared ahi tuna salad (large size). After adding a bottled sports drink, tax and tip,…read moremy total was $28 which to me is pretty high for a lunch. Don't get me wrong, the quality of the tuna was excellent and the rub on the tuna was nice but below that it lacked a depth in flavor. There was a simple bed of lettuce, shaved carrots, crunchy wonton strips and a very light vinaigrette to make up the salad. I added their "quick pickles" on top which were another .75 cents. (I actually went back half way through my meal and added another side of pickles and I tried an additional dressing because there wasn't a lot of it on my salad.) The pickles were my favorite part of the meal by far. GET THE PICKLES! Overall, the experience was nice. My only gripe is the price but that's usually the case when it comes to poke bowl type places. I get that fresh ingredients cost more but there has to be some balance of getting a full meal without having to spend $30. Even if I chose tap water to drink, include tax but didn't tip (I would never), the base price of the bowl is still $18. I'm sure some people are comfortable paying that for a light lunch but I think this place is definitely for people that have a lot of disposable income. Regardless, I would still recommend this place and only took off the 1 star for the prices.
