However, the pepperoni Stromboli was very good. It almost tasted like it was handmade. The bread was so fluffy, you could taste the butter. Perfect amount of cheese and pepperoni. Trying them again, since Bear went out of business. They don't staff enough delivery people, so your pizza is always late and always cold.

We order for pickup once a week from Vocelli. The prices are higher than other chains but the quality is vastly superior. The traditional crust is chewy and flavorful. Occasionally they have limited time specialty pizzas that are fun to try. You can earn discounts through the reward program. What I don't like is the suggestion that we include a tip of 10-20% on pizzas that we're picking up. Their prices are high enough to pay their employees! read more

For a chain restaurant, this is pretty darn good pizza for the price you pay. They are currently opened for contactless pick-up or delivery at this time as well. PLEASE order the buffalo wings here because it's absolutely delicious. They're a bit spicy but they're literally too tasty to turn away. I also had the mushroom and sausage pizza which tasted pretty good but the dough felt a bit heavy handed. I generally like my pizza to be a bit lighter (I love flatbread) but toppings were all freshly made. I wasn't crazy about the Stromboli, but it's definitely not a bad option to have if you're feeding a lot of people. They truly stuff the Stromboli with meats and whatever you decide to include in it. Giving one star because the wings here are good. But, this isn't an Italian place. I've had Pizza, Tuna, and Chicken Parm. All some of the worst Italian food I've ever had. Maybe the cheesesteaks are good, which should be a red flag as most Italian places in NJ where I'm from do not serve wings or cheesesteak. The best delivery pizza in the Colesville area. Didn't even realize that I never wrote an actual review for them, which is a little strange considering that it's our go-to pizza place. Each and every single order is cooked to perfection. The crust is flawless with just the right amount of sauce/veggies/cheese. The meat is also good, but I prefer the basil pesto primavera pizza. All that fresh veggie flavor combined with savory cheese and sauce is just what you need for a lazy day watching movies. The chicken tenders are also good, as well as the subs. Think of it as your favorite cheap&greasy takeout, except it's neither cheap or greasy. Same options, better taste. Delivery is prompt and if they're busy, they'll tell you. The "large pizza" was more like a medium and tasted pretty much like frozen pizza at 3 times the price. The boneless wings tasted like frozen wings as well (tgif frozen wings from the store are much better). The wings were soggy with no crisp at all. BP and I ordered carry-out and got an advertized deal for one large one-topping pizza with a box of the Vocelli poppers (now I forget what they are called). BP actually paid extra for a two topping pizza: chicken an banana peppers on thin-crust. This is our usual Dominos order, so we tried it here. It was good, but lacking the garlic seasoning that Dominos offers, but we still enjoyed it. Vocelli chicken costs extra, but it is worth it. The meat is nice, clean, and white meant. It was very tender. I seriously could not believe how good the meat was. The pizza crust on this thin-crust was so crispy and perfectly crunchy. It was seriously addictive. I don't think I liked the banana peppers as much because of the acidity. Those poppers were really good as well. I am glad I got to try an order of the garlic. The order came with one container of marinara sauce. The sauce was excellent. BP thought they weren't as garlic-y as he initially thought they would be, but liked them none the less. The other poppers were pepperoni and cheese and spinach and mushroom. I would be interested in trying the spinach and mushroom order and BP was debating to get hot subs (buffalo chicken, maybe), but we did not get it this time. The dough was not cooked and there was one slice in our pie that didn't have any cheese on it at all. They also really skimped on the toppings. Bizarre. Not sure what happened, but maybe it was just an off night. The guy at the counter was also kind of rude. Great experience last night at Cloverly Vocelli's. My kid decided at 9pm on a Monday that they needed cannoli for breakfast the next day. I knew I wasn't going to battle rush hour the next morning tryna get to Little Italy in More, so i scoured the internet looking for a place that was open late. Vocelli Pizza came up and had cannoli for just 3 bucks each so I head on over and arrived within minutes of them closing. The person who helped me was awesome, didn't seem to care that I showed up at the last minute, was kind, considerate, and professional. They were also knowledgeable about the food, and got the door for me. 10/10 recommend, and the cannoli ain't bad either! I forgot to ask their name but today when I called the restaurant I was told it was one of their managers, Joe. Thanks Joe! We have ordered from Vocellu for the last 7 years. My kids love the mac and cheese pizza...tonight I ordered at 5:07pm and my order was out for delivery at 5:21pm. Thought it was fairly quick but nonetheless I served the pizza. The middle part of both pizzas I ordered were undercooked. We didn't eat that part. I wouldn't have said anything if my husband and brother didn't but let's face it , who wants raw pizza ..... I called Vocelli as a courtesy ... not looking for any credits just letting them know this happened. Devon (claimed manager) indicated there is absolutely no way this is accurate but as I tried to explain the logic in time and distance from store he continued to defend his store. I indicated I wasn't looking for any credits or refunds and instead of apologizing and saying he would look into the matter. Wonderful first time experience! We ordered online and applied a 20% off code we always use. The guy at the counter told us there is a better code for 30% off, and he applied it at the counter. Who does that nowadays? The difference in savings may have been pennies, but it's the principle of the matter that counts here. That was very nice of him to do that. The thin crust veggie pizza I ordered was excellent. It was better than any similar pizza I got at any Vocelli chain. It was loaded with toppings and had so much cheese, even though I did not order extra cheese. I was pleasantly surprised with how generous they were with toppings. Each piece of pizza was heavy, well cooked, and melt in your mouth delicious. The edges were filled out to the crust. It was the best pizza ever! The pesto pasta I got was not very good. It was cooked well and looked great, but it had very little chicken and the pesto sauce did not taste good to me. The chicken was just a few measly bites, it was nothing at all. The dish had a ton of pesto sauce and was very greasy. The pesto tasted off to me and just not what I consider delicious pesto sauce. Someone else might like it but not me. The garlic bread was very greasy, salty, and awful. We had less than 1/2 of the pesto pasta and threw the rest out along with the $9 I paid for it. But I am still going back to this location because I love Vocelli's pizza and I want to try the other menu items. Wow! I don't know where to start. Well, I read all of the reviews before I ordered and they were good. I decided to get a 3 topping pizza and the special came with brownies. It was actually A BROWNIE. A BROWNIE that was hard and nasty. I'm used to getting hot fresh and delicious brownies from Dominoes so this brownie wasn't even close. The food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time but it wasn't hot. I am not far from this place. Perhaps they should invest in their warmers the drivers carry. I was not happy and I am not sure if I will buy there again. Maybe it was a fluke, maybe not. The temperature of the pizza means everything. I will never order a pasta dish from them again. Whether it's the chicken parmesan, chicken alfredo, or chicken pesto, it's never made the same. This last delivery I received today, I ordered the chicken pesto with linguini and it was the most dry pasta I ever had. It literally looked like just lime green noodles and three pieces of chicken. This WAS, previously, our favorite pizza place. We bought two Colosso pizzas nearly every week for four years. The kids loved their little pepperonis and, as a Pittsbugh native, I was thrilled that Vocelli pizza was in Maryland. Then one day we ordered online. The online system changed our order to 'no cheese' on one side of our pizza - so we got a pizza that looked half-naked. We called and explained this problem to the manager - who said they had made the pizza just as it was ordered, so it wasn't his problem. We practically begged him to make us a pizza WITH cheese, since it wasn't our fault that the system messed up, but he said NO. We said we had been coming there for years, almost every single week. I've lived in the area since 1986. I've seen recommendations for Vocelli pizza in online neighborhood forums, so thought I'd give it a try after all this time. I won't order Dominos or Papa John's pizza - i'd rather eat saltines with ketchup. I prefer brick oven pizza and thought Vocelli offered brick oven pizza like Julianos and Ricciutis does. Hadn't heard of it, it's like a secret delivery chain that doesn't invest in advertisting (no, seriously). I'm often a bit "under the weather" on Sundays. I have a regular Excedrin, football, pizza and family room couch date. Sometimes I'm so under the weather I debate ordering delivery because I don't even want to get the door, or be seen. Usually come 12-1, I get over it cause I need fat and carbonated beverages. I'm a pizza purist - always go for the plain pizza, but I stepped out of my comfort zone and ordered a spinach garlic pizza and it was quite tasty! All the ingredients were fresh (we used our own Greek salad dressing, so I cannot comment on their provided salad dressing). As expected, the pizza crust was excellent. This is the best pizza that you can have delivered in Cloverly/Colesville/Briggs Chaney. (Papa John's and Pizza Hut and Domino's suck.) However, overall, the pizza is above average, but not as good as Ledo's (on New Hampshire Avenue) if you want to actually get in your car and drive somewhere. Pros: Thick, doughy crust, which I love, love love. I think they have two different crust choices, but I always say "regular" and they give me the thick stuff. Their cheesesticks are also quite good. No customer service at all. Won't stick to their word Called to place an order using a coupon I received with my last order. This coupon is supposed to be valid thru 07/31/2018. The guy that picked up the phone just told me we don't have that offer here. I try to explain to him I had the coupon right in front of me. Employee 899 (Steve Taylor) is one of the rudest people I have encountered in the delivery business. He called my personal phone and was rude and disrespectful; he was also rude to the secretary. There was no need for this, apparently, he hasn't heard that you attract more bees with honey. I didn't appreciate his attitude. If you do not like working with people get a job under an igloo and do not have a customer service job. From now on, I will call and find out who the delivery guy is before placing an order. The only reason this place doesn't have 1 star is because of the friendly staff, but even they were chatting and couldn't be bothered about a new customer. The main reason I'm giving this review is due to the poorly crafted pizza. I came for my lunch break, so I wanted a fairly short meal. As a result, I ordered the small pizza since they don't sell slices. Dear God was that a mistake. As soon as I opened the box, it looked like someone had poured a jar of tomato sauce and dumped a bucket of cheese. It was extremely hard to pick up without everything falling off. Overall, wouldn't recommend this place because of not only those factors, but it took them 20 minutes to make me a tiny, mushy pizza with no other customers in the restaurant.
