I went in to have my picture taken for my passport application. Despite there only being one other customer, the two workers were incredibly curt. The photographer sat me down, took one shot, and showed me the result for 2 seconds to ask if I was satisfied. I said no, and he replied that it would look the same no matter how many retakes we did. My photo looked like a mugshot. The lighting was terrible, and I barely had time to adjust my hair or clothing. TLDR: Rude staff and awful photography. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Update! to the review I wrote yesterday about the despicable treatment I received at Vivid Photo. So I went to Walgreens today to make the pics I wanted... They were so nice & accommodating...The pics came out great & were 50% off! I made: 10/ 4x6...& 2/8x10. Total $7.01.....They informed me that they have specials on photos every week! Ty GD for this incident. I had the clarity & vision to go elsewhere, where I was treated like a human & not a lowlife. And I saved so much more than if i had done the pics at Vivid! By far the most disgusting experience I have had doing business with anyone. I was a life long customer of this local photoshop, having previousy purchased multiple photos and frames over the years; well that stops today! I wanted to surprise my wife with a gift of her diploma. I sent them a digital copy, due to resizing issues, which the owner could not resolve, I asked for a sample using low quality black and white ink on low quality paper. The owner refused and demanded $3 for the sample. When I started to question the logic and customer service aspect of providing a sample for an ultimately $25+ final photo , the owner became short, abrasive and just plain nasty with me. He followed up with a "You dont like it, you go somewhere else!", and I walked out of that store, I will never return again. They have lost a returning loyal customer over $3. I do not recommend this place to anyone! read more

This was my first experience there. My husband and I walked in and another customer was arguing with the Asian owner. Her English isn't 100% and the customer walked out upset saying his photos were not done correctly and his deposit of $70 was a crime! This interaction wasn't a good start to my process but my husband had been there a few times and we needed a few pics printed for our photo wall. My husband ordered his 8X10 of our wedding photo and it was printed to perfection = $4.90 My order was a bit more complex because my frames were round so I wanted to make sure they could edit the pic and print it in the shape of a circle. The other counter girl there helped me and explained it would be an additional $5 to just resize into the circle shape plus $2.49 for printing. I needed 2 so we moved forward. She explained the process again and price. I said ok. Then she repeated it for a 3rd time. I said I understood. I emailed her my photos and when she opened them up she again explained the pricing. I got annoyed because she felt I didn't understand and I became unsure she could do it. They had me pre-pay for the circles which was frustrating but I did it. She said come back in a hour. But I stayed. She opened the pics and edited & printed and all turned out perfect. I'll go back again if needed but I'll try not to do odd shaped printing. But I loved how everything turned out. read more

I wanted to print out an image taken by a cell phone. I discussed the photo at length with the manager and asked for his input regarding size to get the sharpest image possible. I emailed the image to him. He suggested 16x20 and I asked again if the image would be sharp. We decided on a frame and I placed the order. When I got the print, it was shockingly bad. Grainy and blurry. I expected so much more since I sent him the image to check out the clarity. I would have rated the store a 1*, but he gave me a full refund so all I lost was time. read more

This place is disorganized and a scam. They give you a small discount "promotion" if you print over 100 photos. We had over 400 photos so they took advantage and missed a large chunk of the selected photos we gave them through a USB that ONLY contained the photos printed. It was very organized on our part but they still failed to print everything and some of the photos were printed multiple times. They made the process 10x more tedious because we have to organize all 450 photos one by one to see what was missing. The prints were more expensive than the local Walgreens ones and the quality of the photos were low and dim. Not ever coming again... read more

Went here with my family to take passport photos, and they took the pictures very unorganized and messy. They didn't really care about it. When we got to the passport renewing place, the worker told us that they didn't qualify for it so we had to take it again. And the reason was because my family member was wearing a light color cream sweater which was prohibited for a passport photo. And it was a lot cheaper at the passport renewing place. So i went in for passport pictures. A young lady took the picture and seemed in a hurry and annoyed when she saw me trying to fix my hair before she took the picture. After she took one, she showed it to me on the camera really quick and i wasn't able to really see it in detail. After it was printed i noticed i was making a face in the picture so i kindly asked if i could take another one. The lady said it was fine, i responded that i didn't like it and she again said it was fine. She totally didn't care that i wasn't satisfied and now i will have this ugly picture forever on my passport :( read more

I brought in an edited digital photo that was made into a 16x20 canvas, which, with tax, cost me close to $100. It may not be the cheapest place you can find, but it is definitely reliable. I dropped it off on Monday night, and picked it up on Friday evening of the same week. The staff was courteous and helpful. Their hours are convenient, the location is great - there's always parking around. I would definitely use them again. read more

Worst place to ever go! They are lucky to be the only photo shop in the neighborhood!! Service is horrible! I first emailed them asking how much is 13 4X6 photos and I got an email back saying it will cost $3 meaning it will cost $0.23/copy; which is not bad. Therefore, I emailed them back with the photos to be developed, the first email consisted of 7 photos and the 2nd email consisted an additional 5 photos which was emailed 3 minutes later due to the uploading of the photos to email. When I went to the shop to pick it up, I paid $3 and didn't check to see if all the 13 photos was inside. I left the shop and walked down the block and realized there was only 7 photos, so I paid $3 for 7 photos! I walked back to the shop and said there's only 7 photos in here and he (Leon) went back to check his email and realized there was more photos. How were you going to charge me $3 for 7 photos when you said the price was $3 for 13 photos??? And the lady told him to charge me an additonal $2 for the additional 5 photos. So I questioned her about that and she said because it was in 2 seperate orders and there is tax so I asked her how much is your tax because I really don't understand your math and your tax amount. And I don't even get a receipt and you charge tax!! Asian liars about tax! Charge you whatever they want! Will never go back! The local Walgreens will be 100X better. For all the non-asian customers, they talk about you while you are in the store. They curse you out if you say something they don't like to hear. While I was there, 2 non-Asian women walked in and they bad mouthed both of them in Chinese. If I can put a rating with no star instead of one, there will definitely be 0 stars! read more

Nasty People, Lousy Service. I had a small digital photo with a low resolution dpi. I called the store and was told that if I print it out at the original size I should be able to maintain the color and resolution that looked so good on my computer screen. I sent it via email and confirmed they received it.They told me to come by in two days and it would surely be ready. When I arrived two and a half days later they had not even opened my email. They at least agreed to print it for me while I waited, but when I asked a simple question about their procedure for preparing it on the computer to print, in order to understand that they were doing all that was possible to get a good print, they yelled at me and said, "this is how it come out. You do now or we closing the store" (it was 45 minutes before closing time and the job took about 5 minutes). the result: the print was poor quality--worse than another print shop that had even enlarged the photo more than 100%, and they charged me almost 20% more than they quoted me over the phone. read more

Don't bother. I sent them several photos via email to print. They said they would be ready in half an hour. I went back in an hour and they still hadn't printed them. I had to wait. When I finally got the pictures they had cropped half the people out of several photos. I won't be going back there. read more

I have ordered two 40mm by 50 mm passport pictures. I specified the country where the photos will be used. The directions specified at the embassy were that the photos need to be on one sheet of paper ( not cut) They sent me pictures that were cut ( which is not what the directions specify). Also one of the pictures was cut 36 mm by 50 mm. I called the customer service. They first offered to redo them ( but I don't have time for that). They refused to issue a refund until I send the photos back. Since the mistake was on their side, I should not have to pay for return shipping, but I guess this is my only choice. 8.99 is steep for two pictures that are not usable, that my 3rd grade son could print out. It was extremely difficult to understand them ( I called them twice, got different people), and I could not tell if they were actually yelling at me and cutting me off when I was talking or it is just how they are.
