Anyway, we were excited to see that it reopened as a brand new restaurant and that they remained a Taco joint. So we went yesterday..visually, it looks very much the same ( which is not a bad thing at all ) a "beachy" vibe big open bay doors and beautiful decor..they changed all the chairs / tables and lights for the better..but we are "Bar Eaters" so we sat at the bar and ordered some drinks from the bartender (young man with cool tattoos), I take him for a Manager maybe even a young owner based on his attention to detail and friendliness...but I can't confirm this and I wish I remembered his name for this post. I noticed that some of the bar patrons seem to be regulars has this bartender was shaking hands with them as they paid their checks and left..thats cool ( more on that in a minute ) we ordered and the food was delicious..im not gonna go into detail, the pics speak for themselves (sorry the pics are half eaten..lol when the food comes out looking that good, sometimes I forget I'm a YELPer and I dig right in before I remember to take pics) we had two different but equally yummy burritos. On a side note, the guy next to me ordered the wings which looked and smelled sooo good ( next time )!! Anyway we get the check..I was surprised at the prices here for everything..everything seemed to be a few dollars less then I would expect and the overall price was well worth the food and atmosphere. As I go to leave, the Bartender reaches his hand across the bar to thank me and shake my hand...This act means a lot..I dont know if those other diners were regulars or not now, but I do know that this young man shakes the hands of every single person that he serves..Wow!!! Sometimes, its the little things that matter in life...I LOVE that he did that...what a fantastic way to end a delicious meal and Friday afternoon by the river. We will be back without question. The fried plantains are great and so are their burritos. The quality of food is high, but the prices are not. This is a great new place for Yorktown and I hope they do really well. The last time I was in there, one of the local Yorktown moms came in selling ads for one of the sports team bulletins. The owner was very generous to the local Yorktown sports association and donated money right on the spot without hesitation. The owner and all of the employees have been very friendly and helpful!
