Latte with the name of a similar sounding cafe
    Kay F.

Very eclectic owner who is not a fan of pourovers and gave us grief for asking. We got a latte and it was too hot to drink and took at least an hour until it was sipping temperature. However the strangest thing was the sleeves that they used which had the address and phone number of a similar sounding Viva Fine Foods & Bakery in Kitsilano that was crossed out.... ‍

The coffee is amazing I heard about it from a friend and wanted to try it. The owner is sure a character. He is funny about rough around the edges but passionate about his product. I highly recommend the coffee. It's amazing

Just discovered this little java cafe that's also a custom roasting house in a tiny industrial area off a very busy area of Bridgeport very near to the Costco. I think I had the best cappuccino since Italy long ago. There's a tiny seating area and the order counter area is wonderfully adorned with colorful decor from around the world. A must visit stop in Richmond!

This is an awesome Italian cafe that is hidden in Richmond! How come I did not know it earlier?! I thought there was no good coffee shops in Richmond, but I realized this one located at the opposite side of Costco was excellent! This coffee shop is running by an Italian guy. He is doing a one man show running the coffee shop by himself. He roasts coffee beans every morning and makes coffee for his customers with humour. People come here to buy roasted coffee beans. The blue mountain coffee beans are so good that people don't care how much they pay for them. They just pay and buy the good quality of the blue mountain coffee beans. Anyhow, it was my first time to come here for a "real" coffee in Richmond. This coffee shop has "real" coffee unlike Starbucks and Timmy Hortons. If you know how to drink coffee and what is good coffee, this is the best one I have found in Richmond so far. I bought a cup of latte. Mama Mia! It was so good! The coffee was in golden colour (showing by the owner of the coffee shop). After adding the milk into the coffee, I had a sip tasting the coffee/latte without sugar (always!), it was so good! The coffee/latte was hotter than usual because the owner knew that the coffee/latte could cool down quickly, so he made extra hot for me. In the end, he added a little bit more of coffee to make the latte a little bit stronger. That tasted SO GOOD!

It is tucked away in the industrial corner of Bridgeport area. This little coffee roaster has a small list of coffee beverages and a large roasting list. The decor has an island feel, and the owner has quite a sense of humour. The large cappuccino ($4.75) we tried was big and flavourful. It is too bad the hours in the weekend is very limited so we only get to enjoy this place when we get to Richmond before 2pm on a Saturday.

Ever have that craving for a perfect cup of coffee? Roasted the right amount, and made just for your tastebuds? That craving can only be satisfied with a cup of Arti' s coffee. His freshly roasted beans excites your tastebuds and leaves you wanting more. There's no going back. You'll be hooked with just one sip. Trust me, his coffee is soul-filling.

A warm May afternoon with the proprietor and a few regulars.

If you're tired of the regular coffee shops brewing their stale foil pouched coffee. If you want a real cup of espresso, a real Americano, or if you're looking for the best Mocha Cafe in BC get out of the mall, leave Main Street, and try Viva Java. You will not be disappointed. He doesn't sell disappointment, only excellent espresso based drinks and the freshest roasted beans from all over the world. Mild, medium, or strong - its the only decision you have to make. Leave the rest to BC's only master roaster. You don't have to take my word for it, let his coffee do the talking.

    The coffee artist himself!

The walls are decorated with pictures from Europe and the teacups are very "British." Besides scone and tea, you can get regular food here as well such as fries, salt & pepper chicken, and radish cake to name just a few. You can also get cold drinks like juice & bubble tea, and bubble tea drinks here too. So...not your typical British style Afternoon Tea joint. Kind of half restaurant, half tea place. My friend had a pot of Leisure Fresh Fruit tea and a scone. We'd already had lunch a bit earlier and while my friend had room for a scone, I had zero room in my stomach for any food so I just had a pot of Longan Red Date tea. It was a cold day so a pot of hot tea really hit the spot. I thought it a bit pricy at first, but when the tea came, I saw that the teabags were Fortnum & Mason teabags. That is a very a prestigious company from all the way over in England. When I realized we were drinking Fortnum & Mason tea, all of a sudden $10.25 didn't seem so extravagant any more. My friend said her scone seemed like more of a biscuit than a scone. It came with butter and jam. I think she wished there had been some clotted cream to go with it. I can't say too much about the food as I only had one pot of tea but I was impressed that it was Fortnum & Mason tea, and I very much enjoyed the flavor of the Longan & Red Dates in my tea.

There is some free street parking but plenty of paid underground visitor parking (just unfortunately is paid parking). We visited on a Sunday and they were way more busy than I expected. We also happened to arrive during a rush so all the seats were filled and the line went to the door. Luckily, it calmed down right after and we were able to get a table while waiting for our orders. Other reviews have mentioned that they could put in more tables but I think the empty space is really important for the overall aesthetics and makes the place feel much more peaceful than crowded. They have a very nice variety of drinks and baked goods. There were so many things I wanted to try. I ordered the matcha fog which was such a unique and well made drink. I also got a coffee bun and have no complaints :) Overall, I love all the decor and especially the bunny logo! Definitely will try to stop by again in the future.

The matcha drinks and desserts were beautifully presented and tasted rich and authentic, with that deep, fragrant matcha flavor that's never too sweet. We have today: Hojicha shaved ice, replaced with matcha ice cream. This location in Richmond had ran out of Hojicha ice cream for a long time. We asked every time when they will have hojicha ice cream back and staff doesn't know either. Hojicha Chestnut Shortcake, Cake is soft and fluffy, and very too sweet. It is always my favorite. This time i gave a 4 stars is because they discontinue serving Onigiri ( rice ball) and savory item. That's too bad! I love their Onigiri and ramen! When I had the chance to go to Vancouver, BC with my boyfriend I wanted to go here! First all, you need a reservation specifically for the high tea portion so we booked that ahead of time. As you go in you are led to an area of Tsujiri where there are just tatami mats and no shoes are allowed on it. We were first sat down with matcha to start with and the music surrounding us was serene and calming. Then came the high tea, compared to your usual high tea, without the Japanese fusion. This came with a lot of interesting treats. In the middle tier, there was your savory two different types of onigiri, savory rice cakes, and elevated salad with a jelly. The salad was incredible and unlike anything I've had before. The onigiris were good as they should be so was the rice cakes. Top tier and bottom tier consisted of the desserts one plate for me and one plate for my boyfriend. My favorite was the mango mochi. It was so creamy and delicious! The other dessert was solid too, I like the little mousse cake. I also liked the add on of a matcha sauce for the fruits. Tsujiri definitely transformed high tea into a Japanese version and it was well put. Both usually make me full. I do wish there was more options on savories you could have before eating the sweets, but this is a slightly different experience.
