My husband ordered his favorite dish, the Delmonico steak, accompanied by his favorite steak fries. I ordered the wedge salad to share, the escargot appetizer, and a side of truffled macaroni with smoked Gouda. When my husband's steak and fries arrived, we were genuinely taken aback. The Delmonico was approximately half the thickness we have come to expect, and the fries (see photo) were not steak fries at all. Instead, they were cold, hard, and crusty. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the steak itself. How can a restaurant call itself a steakhouse and serve fries of this quality alongside a premium steak? Prime presents itself as an upscale dining establishment, and its prices certainly reflect that positioning. As customers, we expect the quality of the food, presentation, and overall experience to justify those prices. Last night, that expectation was not met. I also ordered a glass of Rodney Strong wine and am unsure whether I was charged correctly. I will include a copy of the bill for management to review.
