I came here for a book club with friends so I didn't know what to expect as I have never been here before. All I knew was it is Italian. Inside it's very small and the tables are crammed together. When people would walk past our table to use the restroom I had at least 2 people hit my purse that was on the back of my chair. The purse isn't even big at all. It just felt extremely tight sitting between others who are dining. The server was very nice but the service was overall slow. We had to wait awhile to get our entrie orders taken. Then waiting even longer for our food. I think the server was overwhelmed with our size table of 8 people. She checked in on us often which was nice but at the end of our dinner she messed up almost everyone's check. It was very disorganized and everyone was confused about what they were paying for or who owed what. When I got my check I had what I ordered on my bill and it was my card number but another girls name showed up on my bill... weird. Food was just okay. About as good as Olive Garden and honestly I would prefer Olive Garden. My friend also wasn't impressed with the food and said she wouldn't go back there. There was nothing about the food that made us excited to go back. My friend got an espresso martini and she said it was okay but strong. She had ordered another one after finishing the first one and when the server brought it out it was basically black and looked like straight espresso coffee. My friend tried it, hated it and asked for 2 creamers to add to it. They couldn't make a good cocktail but they did have a good selection of wines. read more

This was my first time dining here per my parent's recommendation. Overall, it was a good experience. The house Italian on the side salad was delicious! The oil for the bread had some kick but was very good and flavorful. I ordered the chicken parm (not featured in a photo) and thought it was quite tasty. I really liked the sauce which had a nice sweetness to it. Unfortunately, they were busy and possibly understaffed as it took about 15 minutes before we were asked to place a food order. I had the lasagna that was very good and huge. The house salad with the house dressing was excellent. Our waitress was excellent and didn't rush our group of 7 (it was a Wednesday night). Sorry I don't remember her name. I've never had a bad meal there and I go to a lot of really good restaurants. Some people post that they didn't have good food here. I've ordered things at other places that I found I just didn't like and wouldn't like no matter who made it. So I don't ever order that food again but I don't post that the place has bad food. read more

How have I never left a Yelp review until now? This restaurant is the heart of tradition, family, and amazing food. If you grew up in Wickliffe, you know what I mean. The atmosphere that has been established on Euclid Avenue is something that can't be compared. We've been coming here for way too long to recap a specific experience. From my bridal shower to my daughter's baptism, parents 50th anniversary and birthdays - the list goes on and on. We have done in-person parties as well as catering! Always greeted by the owner Lisa with a smile and a fun personality that makes you feel at home. food was delicious. ordered cheese wheel linguine, seafood fettuccine, calamari, and soup of the day. the scallops in the fettuccine were a little overcooked. and unfortunately the service was terrible. we were there for about an hour and a half. 40 minutes of it was spent waiting on our food while we watched two tables that got sat 20+ minutes after us get served their meals, and one of them finished before ours even came out. the waitress checked on us 3 times total the entire night, and by the time our food came out, it was already cold. read more

After seeing the reviews I was expecting much more but I struggled to find anything truly Italian here for lunch. Mixed in amongst Asian salads and fried baloney sandwiches was a vegetarian panini which I opted for but instead of being served on ciabatta bread it oddly came on a Portuguese roll. Went there after golf with my group. They could not seat us all together but close. I had a special that night which was Barbecue Ribs. Should have stuck with Italian fare. Haven't been here in a long while, despite of some negativity i have heard. I was very much impressed with food, service, and atmosphere of this place. Went there for a Birthday Party it was a big party (16 and 3 little kids) very impressed with the service as well as how the waitress handle everything A1 100% great service and food was excellence. waitress was very efficient in all our needs, as we walk in at different times was right there to give us a drink menu and take our drink order as well as making us very comfortable. while we waited for the rest of our party. from taking our order to serving our food and drinks was excellence, food came out hot and very good to our taste even with us having separate checks everything went smooth. i know allot of times with big parties things get messed up (orders or check and service) but not in this case everything was excellence service and food. We have a big family and when we go out it can be difficult at allot a places not here at Vittorio's 100% was great!!! and they could handle big parties even though it was peak of dinner time ,Great place for a party or family get together. We had an amazing experience! The service was great and the food was even better! I had the lasagna and the portion was huge and vert tasty. I also had the lemon cake which was phenomenal, I only could eat 1/2 of the food as the portions are HUGE! My wife had the Angelina which had both veal parmigiana and eggplant parmigiana together over pasta. She loved it and brought home leftover. She also has the tiaramasu which was fantastic. Our server was very helpful and her and her husband were very attentive. The prices were very reasonable and would highly recommend this place!!!! read more

I love this place, the food is great and the prices are reasonable.....BUT I've had it with the rudeness off the guy behind the bar. It's always been a bit abrasive, but tonight I barely got the words out of my mouth about adding biscotti to my pick up order and he yelled NO! He just didn't want to be bothered because they were busy. He didn't have to be so completely rude and sarcastic saying he "needed them all for myself". We are preparing a dinner for our Mom's 90th birthday, and there was no question we would go here, but I am definitely rethinking this! Maybe Dino's or Mario Fazio's would be a bit more appreciative of our business! I would contact the manager or owner, but I think he is one of those! No way is he a regular employee he wouldn't have lasted there a week with his attitude. read more

I've been here a couple of times before and the three stars is pretty much right where this needs to be. It's not horrible, it's not tremendous, it's just there. I attended lunch with several other coworkers at this restaurant and again overall it's not awful it just not my cup of tea when it comes to lunch places. I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich. I consider myself quite the Aficionado when it comes to chicken parmesan. It did seem like the chicken was overcooked as some of the breading was almost blackened or very dark brown and the edges were kind of crunchy which I kind of would prefer it was cooked a little better. Ideally I would have preferred to have sauce on the top and bottom and in hindsight I probably should have ordered a side of marinara to go along with it because the sauce seem to be a little lacking. There was adequate amount of cheese as well and it was served on warm focaccia bread. The only other thing in this plate was an ice cream scoop full of what I thought first was mashed potatoes, but it was cold to the touch and after going back to the menu I saw that it was actually potato salad. A cold hard scoop of potato salad. Not my favorite. At all. the restaurant does not have soda fountain service so if you order a Diet Coke you're going to get a 20 oz bottle of Diet Coke My bill totaled $14.99 for the pretty good but a little over cooked sandwich, a lump of potato salad and a bottle of Diet Coke. Now here's the catch you have to take your bill up to the bar and pay it at the bar and the server said that ordinarily during dinner the server will cash you out but during lunch the bar cashes you out. Which is odd. The only reason I went is because a bunch of co-workers went but if I were by myself I probably would not go there again. read more

Vittorio's is a superb dining experience that showcases the indelible grace of Italian cuisine. Upon walking in I was prompty greeted and seated at a table in the rear. Within about a minute of being seated my server - a friendly young gal - approached the table and greeted me. The low-lit interior provides an intimate feel that is punctuated by cloth-covered tables and bright accents. After reviewing the menu I decided to stick to my guns and ordered the spaghetti marinara with mushrooms, which came with complementary house salad and fresh bread! The salad consisted of romaine lettuce, sliced carrots, and a balsamic dressing, while the bread rolls were warm, soft and came with an olive oil tapenade! The spaghetti arrived hot and generously portioned, which is always pleasing given my rather large appetite. Needless to say, it was fantastic and expertly prepared, with a perfectly balanced sauce that synchronized well with the al-dente noodles. I think I've found a new local favorite! read more

Almost every other place we've been to in the last year has been higher prices & lower quality. NOT at Vittorios. The prices are the same, the quality is the same, the staff & owners couldn't be friendlier or more personable if they tried. Every spoonful of wedding soup had a meatball or chicken or vegetable in it. The chicken buerre blanc & haddock, so good, I don't even know words to describe them except perfection on a plate. Food is very good. Portions are large. True Italian dishes and flavors. Semi elegant experience. Bread basket was stale and soft drinks in bottles takes away from the atmosphere. But that's really the only complaint. Appetizers had calamari and mozzarella both excellent. Spaghetti and meatballs were very good. Artichoke dish was also very good. Staff are very friendly. Desserts chocolate bumby cake and cheesecake very yummy. Creme brûlée was a little different than most I've had. It was ok. Will definitely return. read more

We were referred to Vittotio's with high praise and were not disappointed with the meal. The service was acceptable with the exception of a brusk waitress whose attitude was rather offensive. When we left the restaurant the manager or owner followed us to the car, griped that our tipping was unacceptable and disinvited our patronage in future. No problem; a good manager who demands a minimum tip should include it in the bill and stop driving business away. read more

A gal with us pulled the blind half inch from window to see if still raining. He screamed at her to leave blinds alone, she will bend them. Not type of blinds that will bend. So we were quite upset. We were saying what a mean, rude man. A while later heard him say, since he obviously heard us, he stated that he should come over & show us what mean is really like? Something like that. I can't get over how fantastic this place is. Was looking for Italian food on the East side and gave it a shot. Have been back already, a week later. The best in Italian-American food. Nice, classic atmosphere, wonderful service (I love a place that treats me well as a single diner), and the highest quality food. Special touches from homemade herbed oil to go with the bread, wonderful dinners (e.g eggplant rolitini app, homemade veal stuffed cannelloni w/ incredible sauce) and a homemade banana cake for dessert that I cannot stop thinking about. Fantastic food and service with a family atmosphere. We had the Pork Parm and the Chicken Ber Blanc both with the Cesar Salad. Desert was their Chocolate Cake. All packed for Carry Out with their house made rolls. The food tasted great! Their red sauce was perfectly spiced with a nice texture. The Pork Parm and the Chicken Ber Blanc are their classic dishes. The Cesar Salad is artfully presented as a "kit" with a chunk of Romaine lettuce with dressing, shaved Parmesan Regiono, hard boiled egg, and croutons ready to be assembled. They were able to pivot to a Carry Out restaurant and maintaining their high quality food and service during the current Covid problems. I know when they return to full service that they will also have a strong carry out capability. Well done! Looking forward to your being fully open again. read more

We used the party room for a buffet (36 people) Everything was awesome! The decor is nice, the staff is nice and the food was delicious. True, homemade Italian yumminess. Lisa is very kind and she had no trouble accommodating some food allergies when we decided on the menu. We had salad with bread and dipping oil. Bow tie Pasta marinara, veal and eggplant parm, chicken Marsala, steamed veggies and garlic roasted potatoes. Dessert was a platter of lemon cake and cookies that were fresh out of the oven and it was served with coffee. The catering menu has great options including bar service. Hands down we were very happy with our choices. Everyone had seconds and a few even had a third helping. Decided to check this place out after some indoor soccer in Eastlake. Located in a strip mall, but the interior decor is pretty cool. Service - friendly and efficient. The bartender was playfully giving my oldest a hard time, and later he brought over a pitcher of Shirley Temple for the kids (for refills). Food - apps were tiny in portion. The biggest disappointment of the night, by far. The salads were also on the small side, and the Italian was more of a vinaigrette that was very tangy. The main courses were better in terms of portion, but they were nothing special taste-wise. Not the worst meal I've had, but I doubt I'll be back. Not a bad option for locals, though. read more

I work down the street from this place and go here for lunch often. It is very inexpensive and consistently good food. They have daily special faxed to the office (though they forget to fax sometimes) and their special are usually cheap and they have a nice variety. I wish they would stick to one size of dinner rolls though, sometimes they're the size of a burger bun, other times they're the size of a profiterole. A pop fountain would't hurt them either. Last night I was a guest at a gathering in one of the two party rooms at Vittorio's. It was my first visit here. I have not eaten in the dining room, but imagine it must be good considering the quality of food they turned out for our sizes party of 33! We were a little tight in the larger of the two party rooms at 33, but the seating was comfortable and the staff very friendly and hard working to accommodate us all. I had a red wine by the glass. It was only $6, as most were $5-6/ glass, but I would have preferred paying a bit more for a nicer wine. They offered a full basic bar and beers by the bottle as well. Our food options were chicken piccata, salmon or a Boston strip steak. Everyone raved about their choice. The green beans were fresh steamed and the salad lettuces were tender and fresh and very lightly dressed. The rolls were good and the dipping oil on the tables was excellent! The steaks were very large, tender & lean and made to order perfectly which is amazing for a party! The salmon was super moist and perfectly cooked... again, impressive. My friend who had the chicken said it melted in her mouth. They offered up the typical pasta and red sauce, which was unimpressive. I'm not sure if that's their typical sauce. It's strong on the tomato side. The lemon cake was moist and delicious. The chocolate cake was a bit dry in my opinion. I would love to go back to try the regular menu! I cannot comment on the pricing of the dinners as I was a guest. We had a great event here. read more

Vittorio's is one if my all time favorite restaurants. I'm surprised not to see mention of their wine or desserts in recent reviews. You can ask for a recommendation on wine - the staff is knowledgeable. There is also a newer wine bar attached on the left side. The desserts are housemade and out of this world.
