If you're craving some great authentic Italian food, then this is the place! Their artichoke dip is awesome, and they served it hot and cheesy with fresh bread. Tiramisu is top-notch. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The bar area is very cozy in a Cheers kind of way. It was a dark and windy night. The snow was coming in fits and bursts as the temperature continued to hover in the low 20s. But it was still Saturday night. And Saturday night is date night so we were going out no matter what. Now, lest you think we are completely out of our minds, we had resigned ourselves to staying near home and for this evening, fine dining was out of the picture. So we chose an ever popular with the masses, little, community centered Italian restaurant close by. "Dino's Restaurant" is a mainstay local eatery that has been serving good Italian food to my community for ever. I really don't know how long they've been here but I've been here over 50 years and I'm sure they've been here before me. That alone speaks volumes to the quality of food and service you can expect there. Is the food the best I've ever had... probably not... my Nona's was the best. Is it as good as some of the extraordinary dishes I experienced at the high caliber establishments? That's not apples to apples. This is every night of the week, just got home from work, Italian family all sitting around the dinner table waiting for momma to bring out the evenings offerings, food. It's not fancy. It's not something you never heard of. It's simply good, wholesome, stick-to-your-ribs, eat till you can't eat anymore food. I enjoyed a fresh, crispy salad with vinegar & oil and dry blue cheese. Followed by 3 big pieces of "Chicken Piccata" in a nice sauce. With a side vegetable and a refreshing "Arnold Palmer" to wash it all down. Afterwards we enjoyed a good cup of coffee and a slice of "Mascarpone cake". When my wife and I were done I was presented a bill for $61.00. Haven't been to this Dino's in years, so my husband and I went to meet an old friend. We arrived at noon and were promptly seated in the dining area. They also have a bar area making for little to no wait even during busy lunch time. Our server was great. She checked on us while we chatted and then decided what we were having. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and side salad. The salad was nicely presented with garbanzo beans, olives. Their Italian dressing is really nice! The eggplant was plentiful. It was lukewarm which always affects the taste. It would've tasted better if hot. I decided to take most of it home for dinner. The taste was good, not great. Thus the 4 stars. My husband had chicken piccata and I tried a bite. It was delicious and hot. Also, the rolls they give with sesame seeds on top. YUM! Definitely recommend for great Italian food. read more

It's been a while since I dined at Dino's. Don't know why. Their food and service is soooooo good! Ordered combo lasagna/chicken piccata which included salad, rolls, and baked potato, or pasta or veggies. (Homemade dressings!) I'm sorry that I can't remember the server's name because she was so friendly and efficient;remembering all the little Extras that each of us asked for. A quaint and cozy family restaurant with lots of charm. When you first walk in the bar area is over to the left and a retro country style dining room is to your right. We were there for dinner and it was a very family orient atmosphere. The menu is Italian focused. Our daughter appreciated the kid's menu activity booklet and liked her butter pasta with two huge meatballs. Our waitress was very friendly and prompt. She let us know that the blue cheese dressing, cavatelli pasta and meatballs were home made. Dinner was delicious and fairly priced. Upon arrival you will be greeted with warm dinner rooms. Hot yeast rolls with sesame seeds upon arrival. Appetizers: eggplant Parmesan good but Nonna T's in Mentor is excellent. Artichoke dip hot with Italian bread/sesame seeds very good. Desserts: generous and delicious Marscapone berry lemon cake (airy with the right amount of sweet and tart); and decadent dark chocolate cake....both recommend. We ordered curbside family mea for dinner tonight and to say it was the best food we have eaten in a year that wouldn't even be "enough". The chicken parmigiana family meal was light and crispy chicken parm, penne enrobed in a delicious sweet tart red sauce (perfectly done not burnt like some places make red sauce) - a large salad that was pleasantly a switch up of spring mix, iceberg, olives, tomatoes and cheese with a house made Italian vinaigrette that I could almost see my grandmother making. That's when you plate up and think you are "done" and you see some delicate fresh grated cheese (by the scent thinking Romano maybe a pecorino), some butter and these still warm rolls with sesame seeds on them. We placed a carryout family dinner order to celebrate my husband's birthday. When I arrived to pick it up, Tiffany asked if I had a rewards card, which I did, but hadn't used in a while and didn't have it with me. Despite being busy with other orders and incoming phone calls, she patiently and kindly took the time to update the information on my rewards card. In the days when many people are in a rush and don't always take the time to smile and make things right, it was so very refreshing to have someone smile and take the time to help me update my card. The best part was that unbeknownst to me, I had a good amount of rewards on my card which was enough to pay for my husband's birthday dinner! What a wonderful surprise and so very kind! It really made my day and I want to be sure to thank Tiffany for her kindness! In addition, our chicken piccata family meal was absolutely delicious! Dino's is now officially tied for my favorite Italian Restaurant (which is saying something because I am very picky with my Italian foods!). This food is FANTASTIC! I actually grew up in Eastlake and we moved to the West Side of CLE after 5th grade. However, my grandparents still lived in Willowick, so we'd be in the area often. I had a memory of this delicious Italian restaurant my grandparents took us to for their 45th anniversary. I've always wondered what it was and wanted to get back. Well I finally asked my grandpa and he said it was an Italian Restaurant owned by this family and he told me about Dino's. So I made it a priority to get to Dino's ASAP! My sister, brother-in-law and I went last weekend (the drive from the West Side isn't so bad-- only 35 mins!). The location was surprising as it's not really near anything else. And on the inside, there really is no decor, it's very plain looking. But with food this good, the ambiance doesn't really matter too much! I knew ahead of time I wanted the chicken parm as it looked amazing in all the pics! It comes with a salad. We also got the calamari and garlic bread appetizers (you also get complimentary bread). Everything was fantastic. I loved the house Italian dressing (they give you a healthy side of it!) and the garlic bread and complimentary bread were both amazing! The calamari was great as well and I loved the marinara dipping sauce. But the chicken parm is truly the best chicken parm I've ever had! It comes with your choice of side and I chose spaghetti. The chicken is cooked to a perfect crispy coated outside, a healthy portion of that delicious marinara on top and then finished off with cheese and seasoning. I can't do it justice in one paragraph, but you need to make it a priority to get here and try it out! Also, FYI there is no wine list here, but they do have wine (which I thought was odd). I ordered a Cab, Sebastiani. It was very good! I wish I would have ordered a second glass! The food was extremely good; however the staff is very young and not the most mature. For instance, I asked for a wine list and she told me that they didn't have one and then walked away. Well then I saw another table who had wine so I asked her why they had wine and she said "Oh we just don't have a wine list, but you can still order wine." Which she should have mentioned when I asked for the wine list! lol! So the staff could use some training, but still the food was that good, that I can't let the service bring down this rating to a four star review. All such a wonderful experience here! For as many Italian restaurants there are in East part of Cleveland this one stands out. Service was great and waitress was very attentive. I was there on a Monday night and it was quite busy. I ordered one of there specialities and it was very good. Their Chicken Parmigiana. It comes with the Mariana sauce which I did not care for. If you eat beef, get the meat sauce it's way better, very light. No veal I am always concerned they put veal in their sauce and they do not. The blue cheese dressing and creamy Italian are made in house. Worth mentioning. I would also order the Ceaser very good. The muscles were excellent, perfectly seasoned and tender. It was my first time and I was not disappointed and I will definitely go back to Dino's. read more
