Amazing and fresh food, from the free bread all the way to the dessert. The servers make you feel like family and mama Catena always comes up to every table to talk to you. The restaurants size is smaller so it can feel cramped navigating to and from your table , but honestly when you are sitting down you barely notice.

Wow, all I have to say is food is amazing. It's definitely a hit order! You definitely have to order the Diavolata spicy shrimp!!!! All I'm saying is wow you'll be amazed. Also, I ordered the chicken Parm with fettuccine. Excellent choice. Pasta sauce was amazing chicken Parm came out nice and crispy.

The food and staff at Mama Cantena's is excellent. We've known about the restaurant for years and never had an opportunity to visit. It's family-owned and run since the 80s. The restaurant is full and reservations are almost always required. We each had a different meal and the portions were enough to share. We highly recommend stopping here if you're looking for something a little special than a regular Saturday night meal.

Warm and friendly atmosphere with an intimate dining experience. The complies and chocolate gelato are not to be missed.

Wonderful meal and great family atmosphere. Just the right ending to our week. Our thanks to the family for having us.

Food was excellent and so authentic Italian-American. Service was very good and we got to meet Mama. We will be back,

Lobster Ravioli with Rosella sauce to top. Gnocchi with Rosella sauce to top and meatballs. Fresh ingredients!

A hidden gem! I have lived in the area for about 6 years and have just now sat down for a meal at Mama Catena Vino é Cucina! What a shame that is because this family owned restaurant is absolutely amazing in every way. The interior is very nice and cozy. The staff are very accommodating and pleasant, providing you with a great experience from beginning to end! We got lucky and came in on a Thursday where they host a man who plays an accordion. I truthfully felt like I was in Italy! This restaurant is definitely a go-to! Could not recommend enough if you want a nice Italian dinner! Go support the locals!

Mama Catena! Where have you been my whole life? Wow, what a find. We would have never visited without hearing about their COVID preparedness. We never even realized a great little place like this existed. How could that be? Pastas came with a very nice salad. Everything fresh and tasty. I enjoyed the Pepe e' Cacio entree, properly peppery and cheesy, but light. Big chunks of pancetta made this a treat. My wife really enjoyed the huge bowl of Sunday Sauce over rigatoni. Sausage, pork and meat balls with plenty of tomatoes. It was probably three meals in size. The cannoli crumble dessert was unique and interesting as was the whole experience. Why do places continually elude us? How do we dine out regularly in a city where a place like this flies under the radar for 30 years? Just when you think you know all the good places, Mama Catena sets you straight, as any mother would!

This is the best food that we have had at a restaurant in a very long time! Why did I not know about this place before??!! It is located in an unassuming plaza in Euclid Ohio. When you walk in it is Shocking when you see the elegance of the dining room. it is not something you would think you would find in Euclid. This place has been on my places to visit, ever since I read in CLE magazine that Chef Michael Schoan said it was one of his favorite places to eat Italian food. So 4 of us stopped by for lunch. We each got something different - to taste and share. And we all raved about our food! My husband got the lasagna and our friends got the Rigatoni with sausage and Rosella sauce and Involtini which is like a pinwheel filled with cheesy goodness! I got spaghetti but I did not want a marinara sauce so I asked if they had other sauces so the server told me about the other four sauces they offer. I opted for the Sicilian oil and garlic. Simple and delicious! The owner, Mama was there and visited our table twice to check on us and tell us about herself and her restaurant. We will definitely be back! We want to try their pizza and everything else that is on the menu! I cannot stress how much everyone needs to visit this restaurant. Five stars doesn't seem like enough

Inside it's very small and the tables are crammed together. When people would walk past our table to use the restroom I had at least 2 people hit my purse that was on the back of my chair. The purse isn't even big at all. It just felt extremely tight sitting between others who are dining. The server was very nice but the service was overall slow. We had to wait awhile to get our entrie orders taken. Then waiting even longer for our food. I think the server was overwhelmed with our size table of 8 people. She checked in on us often which was nice but at the end of our dinner she messed up almost everyone's check. It was very disorganized and everyone was confused about what they were paying for or who owed what. When I got my check I had what I ordered on my bill and it was my card number but another girls name showed up on my bill... weird. Food was just okay. About as good as Olive Garden and honestly I would prefer Olive Garden. My friend also wasn't impressed with the food and said she wouldn't go back there. There was nothing about the food that made us excited to go back. My friend got an espresso martini and she said it was okay but strong. She had ordered another one after finishing the first one and when the server brought it out it was basically black and looked like straight espresso coffee. My friend tried it, hated it and asked for 2 creamers to add to it. They couldn't make a good cocktail but they did have a good selection of wines.

Eight years worth of Fairmount moments later, this review is well overdue. AMBIANCE: The ambiance allows you to slow down and enjoy your company. The restaurant is dim lit, has fireplaces, and loungey atmosphere. It somehow feels warm and I heard a lot of people refer to it as a second home (people are always so friendly here!). There is ample space - three bars, main dining space, and huge outdoor oasis bar. Nestled in Cedar Fairmount neighborhood, you'll also be able to enjoy historic neighborhood. There are seating arrangements if you're craving company or want to enjoy your date. Seating options include couches by the fireplace, tables, and high tops. Fairmount is delightful during every season. During the summer you can enjoy the bar and patio. In the winter you can dine at the igloos. I prefer all seasons here. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu at Fairmount is impressive and has exciting seasonal/weekly additions. You'll never get bored. The cocktails here are refined, very boozy, and very well crafted. The food is seriously delicious, and consistent every single time. I've been impressed with every dish. The dishes and drinks frequently follow the seasons. During my latest visit I enjoyed Butter Pecan Warm Cider with bourbon ($12, so bold and boozy, tastes like fall). I also ordered Fig Trouble Little China ($15, a more rich version of Old Fashioned, so delicious). I also tasted Short Rib & Risotto for the very first time ($28, such a delicious dish, every bite was just amazing). My favorites? Ah, so hard! I'll go with the Fairmount Burger! It's angus beef burger with bacon-fig chutney. It's so delicious! I can't even be serious about meat at the other burger places, this is easily the best burger in the city. My seasonal favorite? Kevin McCallister seasonal drink that resembles coquito or eggnog. The drink is topped with rice paper that includes the design of Kevin from Home Alone. It's such a fun tradition! I look forward to this drink all year and always tell the world about it! SERVICE: The service is excellent. I haven't been anywhere where service is right on point every single time. Everyone is nice - the owner, hosts, and waitstaff. You truly feel seen and like the most important guest. I've visited previously while on dates and frequently dine here solo, always had the most pleasant service. EVENTS: Many people book events here for their non-profits or companies. As far as individual events, Fairmount hosts a fun NYE party every year! PARKING: Onsite parking lot is available at the back of the building. You can enter through the front doors on Cedar or right through the parking lot door. There are numerous reasons why I love the Fairmount. I consider it to be the best dining experience in the Cedar Fairmount neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. I also love how the owner Jake is very engaged in the community and is incredibly friendly with the surrounding business owners. I'll choose this place again and again for calming ambiance, crafted cocktails, and delicious food. To many more years of Fairmount and at Fairmount!

I liked the California Moscato the best of the whites. I only tried one red, the Diablo. The Diablo was the one we ended up making. The making process took about 10 minutes. We also were able to order food from the Brew Kettle. The food I ordered for lunch will be part of the review I wrote for Brew Kettle, which will be published soon after this one.
