Do NOT have anything to do with this company!!! I purchased a solar panel system for my home…read morethrough them. The system took months to install, it never worked the way they said it would work, it never produced the amount of energy they claimed it would, I have had solar panels that have been out of order for months, and there are many other claims the salesman made that they did not deliver on. Here is what they did...once they have your money (via loan), they are done with you. All of the installation and service to the solar system is contracted out to other local companies. Those local companies have no skin in the game and they have no obligation to help you in any way at all! So, you talk to a LGCY person on the phone and they are like "you need to deal with your local provider", or "we are trying to get someone in your area to provide service". The reality is that they are NOT doing anything. Since they already have your money, they have absolutely no incentive to help you in any way. To compound the problem, they had me finance the solar panels through GoodLeap, and if you know anything about GoodLeap you know that they are also a primary culprit in the home solar scam system. Unfortunately, I found out about their scamming practice after my system was installed. My advice is to stay away from any home solar systems in general, and have nothing to do with LGCY or GoodLeap in particular. Guaranteed...you will not save money on a solar system, it is NOT a good financial decision. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Please if someone from LGCY knocks on your door do not open the door. My installation from the…read morestart was one mistake after another. 1) Stating with the wrong address on the electrical permit that took 6 weeks for me to fix. 2) Before the net meter was installed, they turned on the solar disconnect so the power that was being produced was being billed to me as power being used. My electric bill was double. 3) I had a bad panel at install and took 6 months to have repaired. This year 2024. I had a panel that was not functioning so after 6 months the tech came out and reset the panel, it is only functioning at 60% lgcy said that is good enough and they will not replace the panel. So, after 24k dollars I have a system that I really have not support for, so for the next 23 years I am on my own.

I was told I would pay about $45 - $50 every month after the install was complete. The summer months would create a credit that would be applied to the winter months when there was not as much sun. The sales representative said he would come back after installation to make sure we were happy and to contact him with any questions. $30,000 later, I get a $250+ bill during the winter months. I sometimes have 1 maybe 2 months where I don't get a bill (somewhere between May and July). I never heard from the salesman again. When trying to contact him, no answer and he never returned my calls. This company is very, very shady. Installation was completed in October. We didn't go online until next March. They blamed the city and at the time, I laughed it off as that might be the case. Now I question if it was the case at all. I have a continual issue where at times, 1 of the panels does not produce anything during that day. This happens about once or twice a month. I called Fluent Solar on this multiple times (like over 10 times and probably closer to 20) they sent someone out 2 or 3 times. Each time they came out it was working that day so they said there was nothing they could do. I finally told them, look, this is your problem, replace the whole system, I don't care. Just fix it. They never did fix it. I still have the problem. We had bad hail a couple of years ago and had the roof replaced last year. Fluent Solar wanted to charge us over $3,000 to remove and replace the solar panels. The roofing company told us we were being ripped off and they had a company that could do it for $800. I called Fluent Solar and told them we were going to have the other company do the remove/reattach. They told us they would void the warranty if we did that. I went with the $800 company. Needless to say, we have no warranty with them anymore which doesn't really matter as they didn't do anything in the first place. I thought about suing them but they would probably come up with some fine print or some other excuse on why they are the "perfect" company. Companies like this shouldn't be in business. Do yourself a favor and go with another company. You don't need the nightmares they are going to create for you.

We were told that we could cancel anytime before materials were delivered with no cost to us. The representative lied to us about the tax credit and how it worked. So, we chose to cancel well before material delivery. Now almost 6 months later, they are trying to charge us a cancellation fee. I do not recommend using this company as they are not truthful when asking point blank questions.

Utah remains one of the hottest states for solar adoption. Because of the large number of solar…read morecompanies, it's very confusing to know which one to use. Adding to the confusion is when some companies inundate your neighborhood with sales reps going door-to-door, a practice that--to me--is extremely irritating. Rather than choosing a finance company in the guise of a solar installer (more on that later), I searched through Yelp and found Redstone Solar, and I'm really glad I went with them. I had four different companies provide bids for my system. Chris (the owner of Redstone) surveyed my home and made the most easy-to-understand proposal for the system that would match my specifications. He knew I'd be getting Tesla Powerwall batteries as well as a Tesla automobile, so he made sure my system could provide all the capacity I'd need. He was extremely nice and explained the answers to all of my inquiries. That was very different from the other companies, most of which were an absolute waste of time because they were too busy convincing me to buy solar rather than answer my questions or design a proposal. (I'd already decided to get solar, which is why I asked for bids, not sales pitches.) And unlike one of the competitors, Redstone didn't require me to sign any documentation prior to receiving a bid. (That's just craziness.) The Redstone proposal was not the cheapest, but all of the equipment was name brand and after doing some research online, turned out to be some of the most efficient and longest-lasting solar products on the market. Knowing that solar is an investment, it made sense to go with value instead of choosing the cheapest bottom line. Chris and the other folks at Redstone were also the nicest, had the most prompt communication, and never said 'let me get back to you' to any of my questions, proving that they were super knowledgeable about the products and services they offered. All that--along with the 5-star rating on Yelp--helped me feel like I'd found the right company for the job. Another thing I liked was that Redstone is NOT a finance company masquerading as a solar company. Redstone only does solar; They don't try to sell you their own financing, which is something you'll run into a lot when shopping solar installers. Instead, Chris looked around and found that Key Bank had the best rates at the time, so that's where I got my home equity loan. The system was installed in September of 2016 just as the state was about to change the solar net metering rates. Chris knew I was in a hurry to get in under the wire, so he scheduled the installation over the course of a few days rather than waiting for one full day. That was extremely helpful. In the end I got a 6.5 kWp system with 20 Panasonic panels and a Solar Edge 7600 inverter. Redstone worked hard to get all the city permits approved and get Rocky Mountain Power to install the net meter (the unit that monitors how much power you send back to the grid.) They also worked with the roofing company I chose (because I got a new roof installed prior to the solar system) and provided me with all the state and federal forms I needed for the tax incentives. Initially I didn't see profoundly lower electricity bills from November through February (the most challenging months to garner power from your roof, at least in the northern hemisphere.) Still, my average $100 monthly bills were reduced to between $30 and $40 dollars. From March to May (it's getting sunny and the days are getting longer), my monthly bills have been $9.00. That's right: 900 pennies. I'm able to monitor my solar production online and via an app on my iPhone and iPad. It's a real gas to see how much energy I'm generating (a total of 3.9 MWh so far), how much CO2 I've kept out of the environment (6,027.55 lbs.), and how many equivalent trees I'd have to plant (151.82 trees) to make the same environmental difference. In the end I'm extremely satisfied with my solar system and the job it's doing for me, my neighbors (who use my extra solar power instead of fossil fuel-based energy), and the environment. Now that solar power is under attack from state and federal agencies, it's up to us--the citizens of the planet--to make the investments necessary for our world to be here for future generations. Redstone Solar made that process very easy, and I'm head-over-heels happy with the results.

Encor is in the habit of taking people's money and then disappearing! Check out their Facebook reviews - everyone has had an experience like mine - Their customer service team is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of. We purchased solar panels from Encor in late 2022, we worked with a very pleasant and knowledgeable salesperson, the original installation thankfully was fine. Over the last few months, we've noticed that pigeons are attracted to our roof. On 9/12 I contacted Encor to see if they recommended any particular pest control service or method to repel the pigeons. I wanted to make sure we didn't void our warranty by working with an unapproved vendor or product. They recommended I have their technicians come out and install Critter Guards. They told me that once I paid, they would get me on their schedule, however it's now 4 weeks later, and they have my money, yet I do not have an installation date. After a week went by with no update, my husband got concerned. I texted customer service on 9/19. "Hi, any news on when we're scheduled to have critter guards installed?" No response. The next day, 9/20, I texted "hi again, still waiting on an update since we paid in advance!" No response. Friday, 9/22, I texted "Hi again! what's going on with the critter guard installation we paid for? It's been over a week and I haven't heard back!" No response. I called and left a voicemail. No response. Tuesday, 9/26, two weeks after paying, with no response still, I texted again, this time, I was frustrated. "Hi again, this is getting extremely frustrating. I paid two weeks ago and have not heard back regarding my installation date for critter guards. We need to hear back today about that installation date." FINALLY, a response. "Hi Jazmin, let me follow up with the scheduling team to see if they have an available date." This was not an appropriate response. Two weeks had gone by, and I had been ignored multiple times, and nowhere was there an explanation, or even an apology. There was still no actual update. I understand that ordering materials can take time, but this should be communicated. Still, this response communicated nothing! I texted again on 10/4. No response. I texted yesterday, 10/9. No response. I called and left a voicemail. No response. I've emailed their customer service team. No response. It has now been 4 weeks since we've paid, and no installation date. I have decided to dispute the charge with my credit card because they are refusing to provide the service I paid them for. DO NOT work with Encor/East Mountain Solar. Once they have your money, you will NEVER hear from them again. I think there are enough of us unhappy customers to pursue legal action, I'll be looking into all of the options available.
