The technician arrived smelling like cigarettes and had no badge and no business card. I don't know why I let him in, but he could not resolve any of the 3 issues I had. They kept calling me afterward and I told them to not contact me again. read more

Dropped off my hard drive for data recover, explained that I had opened the cover in attempt to trouble shoot the HDD. Asked the rep if this was a problem, the rep explained that they did not know and said they did not know. I received an email from the tech the following day, explaining that because I opened the cover, the disk was contaminated and it was not possible to recover the data. I wouldn't be annoyed, except the fact that I asked specifically if that was a problem; it would have saved me a trip if the rep was knowledgeable and could have told me that instead of accepting it. Do not recommend their services. read more

We had a good experience with VitalTech. Our Sony laptop stopped working. Another big store wanted at least $200 and said they had to send it away for 2-3 weeks. We got tipped off that this place may be able to help us. They listened to what happened and they thought it was likely a motherboard issue. They ordered a part just to make sure. Unfortunately, it was the motherboard. They did not charge us at all. I found this business to be very honest and I would bring a computer problem to them again in the future, if need be. read more

Life savers!!! VTC saved my business's computer and saved it QUICKLY, patiently, and for a really REALLY reasonable cost. Had an issue Friday am, brought the computer to them, and she walked me through all the steps needed to make my computer work again--fast forward to Saturday afternoon and I'm back in business. Hope to not need their services again but would recommend them in a heartbeat. read more

I had a Friday late afternoon emergency with my wife's computer; kept shutting down, and could not go the entire weekend without a computer. Melissa took my call quickly, was very patient and had me come in right away, with no wait. After a quick registration and a free diagnostic check, the problem was diagnosed and repaired within 1.5 hours. I also received great advice if i have problems in the future. I will definitely come back and next time I'm ready for a new computer, I will have Melissa build me a custom one! THANK YOU!!! read more

Brought my laptop here after a company in Virginia totally botched my DC Jack repair. VitalTech assessed the situation, provided documentation and images of the poorly executed repair, and helped me explore my options. I wish I had went to VitalTech first. That other company not only failed to repair my laptop but caused additional damage by using a clear concrete glue like substance was used to secure the jack in place to the palm rest panel. Unfortunately VitalTech could not fix the damage so that is why only 4 out of 5 stars. However after such a bad experience with the company in Virginia, VitalTech was a breath of fresh air. It was great to speak with people who were not trying to cover up their mistakes. It was also wonderful that they communicated with me about the issues and were very honest. read more

This is an excellent place to go. They are knowledgeable, customer-friendly, and very reasonable. I have been going to them for computer help for about a year and a half. When I bought a little laptop from my mother, I took it there to check out whether it had any bloatware on it that would confuse my mother or cause trouble. In 10 minutes, they told me that I had a lot of problems, and I was able to take it right back to the store and ask to have a lot of "display computer" set ups and advertising ware removed. I was charged nada. When I went out of state to give the computer to my mother, I called them to help me remember the password for the computer, which I thought perhaps they had added, but no, it was the previous store's. They spent 10 minutes on the phone with me giving me typical store passwords and I got in! They also told me they gave remote help, which I totally recommended to my mother. They also helped me with a desktop crash data recovery issue. I can't say enough about this family-run company. read more

Avoid this company. They provide awful service. I did a power jack replacement for my Dell XPS M1330. It took more then 3 weeks and cost me $220. After their work I have found new damages on it: 1. Big crack on the top screen panel 2. Keyboard is damaged 3. DVD ROM completely destroyed I believe that all these damages were made during the assembly/disassembly the laptop that doesn't characterize this company as a good professionals. So, wouldn't recommend it to anybody and definitely won't use their service anymore. Alexey read more

Found the business without any trouble. Dropped off my computer, concerned they'd overcharge me. Not at all! Totally reasonable, fixed it super fast, and called me the next day, as promised. They are amazing! I will definitely recommend them and use them again anytime I need a computer repair. Yay for excellent small businesses! :) read more

I took my computer in to have the keyboard replaced. After a week of waiting, and after VitalTech ordered the replacement keyboard, they discovered that they were unable to do the repair. I was definitely bummed, and a little annoyed that they made this discovery more than a week after I dropped it off. Nevertheless, the customer service was great and I sure that if I have a different computer problem I would stop by again. Come to think of it, my printer isn't working... read more

This will be short. All I have to say is the girl that works here is very kind and sweet. After taking the machine apart in front of me so that I could see what she was doing, She didn't try to take my money by replacing the screen on an old machine. Instead she advised me to buy a new one. I really appreciate her advice and willingness to provide good customer service. Plus I think it's so bad ass when a chick can fix a computer and be beautiful at the same time. Definitely will be returning if I have to. read more

Vital Tech did a great job on my 17.3" screen replacement and at a fair price + a 1 year guarantee! Much better service than I received at Computer Clinic in Sterling - it was worth the drive to Maryland read more

I dropped my computer off on Tuesday and they said pick it up that same day or the next day. They did not have it ready till Friday. All they had to do was transfer data and re-install the same Windows 7 I had on my computer b4 it crashed. I finally picked it up on Friday (they never called me to tell me it was ready. I had to call to find out it was ready) and they did not install windows SP1 which is the latest version I had on my computer b4 it crashed. Dissapointed in their service read more

Vitaltech was not able to fix my laptop. I dropped it off one afternoon and the manager called me the next day. She advised the issue was "probably" the motherboard. She also advised that Vitaltech does not replace motherboards. I picked up my laptop a couple days later, however I left the shop feeling like I should get a second opinion due to the level of uncertainty in the managers diagnosis. They also did not respond to my email. I appreciate the diagnosis. read more

Thank the technology gods for Vital Tech. I cracked the LCD screen on my precious laptop, which I half-jokingly tell my daughter is her sister. I'm a journalist and blogger, and my ability to write is everything, so I needed the screen fixed pronto. The Geek Squad at Best Buy, where I purchased the laptop, tried to shake me down for $250 and a two-week turnaround and suggested--complete with the empathetic sad face for a touch of authenticity--that I should probably just go on ahead and get a new laptop. Fortunately, I marched out and Google produced Vital Tech's name. They fixed the screen for $169 in about a half hour. Le swoon. My heroes! read more

Have been using the services of Karim Salmi of vital tech at my home and office for several years. Karim is very professional, knowledgeable and reliable. He has been able to solve computer related issues promptly and for very reasonable costs. Today he assisted with a credit card terminal in my business. I keep his business card on my desk and it is comforting to know he is available when needed. read more

Went here about a year ago because after putting in a new GPU my monitor screen wouldn't display an image. I entered with my heavy desktop and I was helped by such a sweet girl. She complimented me on my cable management and then plugged up my PC to the stores monitor. Viola~! The problem wasn't my desktop at, I just needed a different cable for my monitor. xD read more

Can't tell you how great these folks are to deal with. I was expecting a 2 day wait and got a call within 2 hours ... because I told them I was in a pinch. Great people and service. Highly recommend them!! read more

Everything's perfect. It's the same chick at the front desk who literally does everything. Not sure if she studied computer science or apprenticed under a friend/family or figured everything out herself, but she is a legend. read more

I really needed on-site assistance for my brother at a nearby nursing home. Having seen some good reviews on another site about this place, I contacted them. It took a day for Karim, their Lead Tech, to contact me about scheduling and he was able to go the next day. I was able to give him everything he needed to get the PC cleaned up and key items reloaded. It took longer than initially expected but he contacted me before continuing. Still cost a lot less than a new PC. He followed up and let me know what he did. My brother was thrilled. I'll use them again. read more

I was dragging on getting my computer laptop screen replaced because the repair places I researched quoted $150 to buy a replacement screen and another $150 for the labor! VitalTech's prices were almost half of that, and they were very competent and pleasant. read more

Fixed my computer in no time flat. Highly recommend

Needed a new port for my power jack for my laptop. I was immediately impressed by their obvious competence and knowledge, and went the extra mile to find a new part that would work on my laptop. Their price was very reasonable and they were very nice to deal with (no talking down to you, etc). I hope I don't need them again any time soon, but I would use them again in a heartbeat. Very strong recommendation! read more

Sorry all. My experience is quite different from these 5 star ratings. Had the O/S replaced. Takes 15 minutes to load the desktop. Today it's running a CHKDSK over and over and over again and won't even load the desktop. Was told to return it for a hard drive replacement $60-80 and pay another $75 for another O/S replacement. Done. read more

The people here are super nice and from my interactions honest; however, they have not been able to accomplish my simple request. I had a Mac fail and asked for them to retrieve whatever data they could and put it on an external hard drive that I provided. I specifically explained - - several times - that I need it formated so that I can access the data from a PC as I no longer wll be using a Mac. They said no problem. Went to pick up the hard drive, it was only formatted for a Mac. They were contrite and tried to accomodate. They said they would reformat the drive and come back to get it. Another trip back (3rd time if you are counting), I picked it up and got home (my fault should have check there) and the disk is still not recognizable by my PC. Again, they are super nice and are willing to fix the problem, but now I have to take time (4th) to go there again during business hours for them to fix the problem again. Very frustrated. read more
