Though sometimes this area can be a spot where homeless people stay, they make it a point to keep it safe, especially since it's right across from a school. I was just there like a week ago and they have added a "Rainbow bridge" there. You can leave your dogs pictures or collars there and it's even painted with rainbow colors also. I started crying thinking about my pets that have passed. I might just have to put their collars on that bridge too. So that was a nice and new feature. Very close to Idlewild park also. It would be a good place to start if you wanted to inner tube down the Truckee river. But please wear a life jacket and a helmet if you decide to go tubin'! There is plenty of wildlife (we saw lizards, butterflies, squirrels, and a lot of birds) and the flora is beautiful too - we especially enjoyed smelling the honeysuckle! The playground itself is so much fun for both kids and adults. Lots of spinning toys to get dizzy on. Our daughter is big into monkey bars, and there are quite a few creative options for her on that front! Standards like slides and swings round out the play equipment. The park also includes two huge green fields. One of them has a couple of hills that will be PERFECT for sledding in the winter! There are lots of paved spots to wander for a mini-hike. There's also a covered picnic area with grills and a restroom right next to it. The only things that would make this park perfect are TLC for the play equipment and a little more attention to the restrooms. Besides that, this is a wonderful spot to bring the kids, dogs, or just hang out in a shady spot and watch the world go by!

The course is easy to follow and all come with a nice tee off slab and well written description of the holes. Can be difficult to find your discs because of all the sage. So keep an eye on where your disc lands. Just missed a birdie on Hole #3. Putter bounced off the bottom part and had to settle for a par. All in all, a very peaceful course to play.

The previous equipment was rusted, worn down and covered in grafiti. With the new park updates there is a small kids play area, a larger play structure and something new that I have not seen at many parks, a zip line! There is also more options for children with disabilities to play with added wheelchair accessibility and a swing for children who cannot use the rope. I love the inclusiveness, the sensory station for making sounds, and the shaded areas. Seeing a fully functional park to take place of the worn down one also has made the neighborhood more appealing. We are so excited to play here more, in the warmer seasons to come!

There are a lot of mature trees which provide shade, however, there were a few homeless people sleeping under the trees. There are four full court basketball courts. There are tennis courts at this park. There are two covered eating areas at this park. There are several picnic tables spread throughout the park. There is a walkway which goes through the park. There are bathrooms at this park. The bathroom was clean on the inside. There is a large, grassy area to play on. The playgrounds at Dick Taylor are fantastic. The soft padding underneath the playgrounds is worn but the equipment is in good condition. There are three play structures to play on. One is for toddlers and the other two are for the bigger kids. There are swings and toddler swings at this playground. There is one swings called the Liberty Swing which looked cool. There are zip lines at this park. There are plenty of fun options on these playgrounds. There are two baseball/softball fields at this park. There were on bases on either field. This park has a lot to offer. We used to bring my kiddos to this park a when they were little. There's a good amount of shade, ample parking, There are restroom facilities with bright night lighting. A large stretch of grass and even a walking trail makes for some good stroller cruisin'! I'd say a highlight to this park is the awesome view and location. We paid $250 for the rental through the city of Reno. Just so you know, the power outlets DO NOT WORK. We used our vehicles for power outlets ;)
