We've used Vista Tree Service for several years. Mike is prompt to provide an estimate. They show up on time for scheduled tree service. The crew are great. They go over the estimate and walk the job with you. Very professional, use all safety precautions while cutting trees and leave the area clean when they're finished (including any debris that might fall into neighboring yards. We defiantly recommend using Vista Tree Service. read more

These "professionals" have been used by my apartment complex for many years. Despite my own efforts to protect plants and furniture in my front and back patio, they still manage to disregard people's property and offer 0 compensation for damage. I would recommend another service that has your personal property in mind. read more

Called for follow up appt which was assigned to me along with the time of 3-3:30. I went to a class at 9:30 and when I returned I saw that their employee had come at 10. I was NOT notified of a time change so I called and of course no answer so I left a message but no one called back. They are obviously not concerned with customer service. BE WARE read more

Our neighbor's yard has lots of old growth vegetation so we hired Vista Tree Service to trim the overhanging branches on our side of the fence. This was a big job because the trees are very tall. They handled everything like pros, told me when they would be here, showed up on time with a clipper and 4 men. They were professional and hard working. They were very meticulous about doing a great job cleaning up. I will definitely be using them again! read more

I've used Vista Tree Service in the past to have large, dying trees removed from a hillside and always been pleased. This project was a little different: removing a dying 25'+-tall Century Plant. The quote process was quick; the quote fair; and work scheduling was perfect. The crews they sent to remove it were excellent -- from the ones who cut off the tall flower stalk, removed the dead base, and cleaned up the mess. I couldn't be more pleased! Thanks, Vista Tree Service. read more

Tree trimming and tree removal. Outstanding company with an exceptional crew! Last year, I heard this company to trim several trees, and they did a clean, professional job with great attention to detail. More recently, they came back to remove a massive 50 foot Acacia tree from my backyard. The crew was fantastic - on time, organized and clearly experienced. They worked efficiently as a team, communicated well throughout the job, and made sure everything was cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. You can tell they take pride in their work. Top quality service from start to finish. I highly recommend them. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Vista Tree Service. Mike (owner) was extremely responsive, straightforward, and knowledgeable about the best course of action for our huge Stone Pine tree removal. We started our tree removal with another company that originally told they would need 2-3 days; 3 days in, they said they'd need an additional 3 days minimum (and were charging a daily rate by the way - yikes!). Totally unacceptable. Mike's team came in and finished the job in 1 day, ultimately saving us thousands of dollars. After the tree removal was finished, they made sure our yard was in perfect condition. Thank you to the entire team: Mike, Ty, Christian, Jessa, Diego, Elmer, Christian Jr., Pedro, Hector, Juan, and Andrew!!! read more

Great experience with Mike and team. I was unfortunately not able to be onsite for their originally scheduled service due to an emergency trip. Upon return, we saw that we didn't get the exact trimming we envisioned. After reaching out, Lara had Mike come out first thing Monday to talk through our desired changes and had it done by end of day. Excellent customer service. read more

These guys are complete pros! I'm so impressed by the talented team at Vista Tree Service. The bid to thin my 2 heavy eucalyptus was attractive at $1150 (June 2023). Within 3 weeks, the job was scheduled. I watched multiple tree climbers tie into harnesses and ropes and climb my trees with their chain saws, then artfully perform a careful ballet of thinning and lacing. The ground crew kept all the lines free and hauled away the most spectacular amount of branches to the chipper. They had 2 trucks available for the haul away. Then came the rakes and cans and the blower to clean up all the leaves. The whole team worked so hard. I've never seen anything like it. My yard was left immaculate, and all the workers were friendly and pleasant. You can 100% trust Vista Tree Service--now I understand why they came so highly recommended. read more

Highly recommend Vista Tree Service!!! We've had other companies come out to trim trees and none of them hold a candle to the service, professionalism, and care that they took while trimming our huge and unruly native sycamore trees. They were very responsive from the get-go, and Mike came out shortly after to take a look at the trees in question. He provided a very reasonable and fair quote and scheduled us for a couple weeks later. Day-of: Christian and his crew arrived on time and they were very courteous and confirmed everything that needed to be done prior to starting. His crew made swift time trimming our trees and they were very careful not to allow any branches to hit our horse corrals or damage the property. They cleaned up all the branches, raked up everything, and didn't leave any trash behind. Mike came mid-day to check on everything and make sure we were happy with the job. They completely exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be using them again in the future. Again, highly recommend! read more

Vista Tree Service? More like best and most knowledgeable tree service in the business. These guys have been around forever and know their stuff. I bet you've never seen a crew that works as hard as them. Not only do they make your trees look perfect but they clean up the whole area making sure all debris are cleared. They can even plant trees too. read more

Second time we have used their services. On time and did an excellent job shaping/trimming our two big trees and all the palm trees in our yard. They also cleaned up extremely well. Will have them back again. read more

I am.a repeat customer because this company has given me excellent service for many years. They just finished another job for me today. Heavy prune of a Bradford Pear, trimming and "skinning" of a very tall palm tree and a pine tree branch removal. The crew comes in and gets right to work. They are fast and efficient. Very friendly. They clean everything when finished. They even clean up the street in front of the house where they feed the branches and leaves into the chipper! All crew wearing masks and observing COVID safety measures. Prices r best. Never found better. I highly recommend Vista Tree Service. read more

Paid a lot for terrible service. Was difficult from beginning to end. if I could give no stars I would. When you hire a licensed professional you expect professional service. I have been looking for a company to remove a tree and do some other work for us for a few months. I finally contacted Vista Tree Service and Mike came out quickly, provided me with a bid and got the work scheduled. His crew showed up earlier than expected, were very organized and polite. Within three (3) hrs they had completed the job, as well as cleaned everything up!!! They did have me verify my happiness with the job completion as well! I would highly recommend Vista Tree Service to anyone!!! They were very competent, professional and were able to get the work done that I needed at a very fair price!!! Called them to come to my residence to get a quote to trim/clean a palm tree. I was told I would receive a phone call prior to Mike arriving at my residence; I did not. I work from home and I was on a phone call when I noticed someone at my door on my Ring camera. I could not get off my call and Mike did not ring my doorbell. Instead he looked at the palm tree located in my neighbor's yard (behind a clear and noticeable fence) and assumed this was the palm in question. It was not. The palm I had called to request a quote on is in my backyard which is not visible from the front. He left a piece of paper with a quote at my door and failed to even attempt to speak to me. Will never call them again for any service if this is how they run their business. read more

These guys will roll right up on your property 20x to access public areas. They won't notify you despite numerous requests and they will be in your way at the park least possible opportune time. They've been frustrating me for three years and I just screamed at them and threw them off my property, after having nicely asked MANY TIMES that they quit inconveniencing us. Simply call and ask when a good time to use our driveway would be; this is not hard. We are nice people pushed to a one star review. I would NEVER hire these guys. Absurd. read more

Stood up TWICE for appointments. Not a way to treat potential customers. Will not recommend. read more

The first time I hired Vista Tree Service, the crew did a decent job trimming my trees. However, they were careless in protecting the surrounding landscaping and irrigation system. Water was shooting straight up from broken sprinkler heads. Ultimately, Vista reimbursed me for the expense to repair the irrigation. Today I had an appointment with Mike (owner) for an estimate to trim trees in an area with below-ground irrigation that I didn't think Vista could damage. Mike was a no-show. When I called to ask where he was, I was given a bunch of excuses about how an employee was out sick the prior day. I then spoke with the other owner Sheila. When I expressed that I was disappointed in Vista disrespecting my time, she became defensive and belligerent, telling me I should understand that someone was sick. Indeed, I understand that an employee will sometimes become unexpectedly ill, especially during a pandemic. But, there are multiple other employees (including Sheila and Mike, who clearly was aware of his own schedule), who could have given a repeat customer the basic courtesy of informing me that he couldn't make it. Dropping the ball when an employee is sick demonstrates poor business management and customer service. An owner being rude about her business's mistake is even worse, and very off-putting. I would not be writing this review had Sheila been more professional and accountable. read more

I really liked the owner when he came to do an estimate of the job. He has a real arborists knowledge. Based on that I scheduled a service date. He did not come. He sent out 2 tree trimmers. They did not have any directions just started lopping. Did they trim the trees, yes. Could I have done it myself, yes. I paid for an arborist and got a tree trimmer. read more

They did a fantastic job! Are fairly priced and great to work with. Highly recommend them!

Vista Tree Service was our home today and trimmed 7 trees. Andrew and his crew were so professional, thorough, safety conscious, courteous, respectful of our property, cleaned up our neighbors properties and the list goes on. We've had several services in the past and none have ever come close to how this business conducted themselves. We love our trees and it's obvious they love their work with the care and consideration they take with the trees. Thank you again guys!! read more

Vista tree took care of a dead pine and trimmed several chinese elms on my property. They also ground out a couple stumps i had. They were on time, price was very fair and they were absolute professionals. The area was immaculate when they were done and i was blown away by their speed. Also nice to see their procedures and how they operated in regards to safety. I would absolutely recommend them! read more

Another great experience with Vista Tree. I had a couple of palms that needed to be removed. Because of a construction going on next door, I had to cancel twice. They were very nice about it. When I was finally ready I made an appointment. I asked if they found out they could do it earlier, please call me. They did fit me in earlier and did a great job. It was a pleasure to see a skilled, properly-trained crew all working together to get the job done safely and to the highest level of performance. read more

We had two large, overgrown trees that were swallowing our house from the solar-paneled roof to the plumbing and foundation. A contractor friend recommended Vista Tree Service for being the best, fully bonded and licensed service at the best price. Ty came out right away to give us a bid and took the time to answer questions about all our trees. The team arrived before the appointed time, verified what we wanted done and got to work simultaneously on both trees and another small one (at no extra cost.) It had been years since another service worked on those trees and left them in very poor condition. The Vista Tree Service team beautifully sculpted our trees with careful precision, surpassing our expectations. They also dug a trench to cut through the roots that were infiltrating our plumbing and inserted plastic to redirect them. They not only cleaned up their working areas but cleared the preexisting leaves and debris from surrounding areas as well. They were friendly, professional, efficient and reasonably priced. Now our solar panels are producing at full capacity, our house and another structure, and our plumbing are no longer threatened, and the trees look healthy, balanced and beautiful! read more

Had the owner Mike come out to review the tricky removal of a pepper tree & stump behind two storage sheds that was intertwined with a couple of fences. Please note, some fence removal would be required for the job and there was also a bee problem living under one of the sheds. Mike's estimate was fair provided he would be able to access the other side of the fence (neighbors side) with the stump grinder. The neighbor had no issue with Mike accessing from his side however, a large tree and a ditch on neighbors side did prohibit this access. I called the office and asked Mike to take another look asking if he'd be able to remove a larger portion of the fence from my side in order to access the area. Mike then states he "doesn't do fences" and suggested just trimming the tree up on both sides of the fence, across the top, then spray it with a chemical to kill it without having to remove the fence, the portion of the tree stuck between the fences, and the stump. We agreed this would be fine. Mike said he could take care of it Friday February 4th at 1:00 pm. I forgot to enter the date/time in my calendar as a reminder so January 28th I called Vista Tree Service to confirm the date/time. No answer. A message was left to return my call. Monday January 31st nothing. I called back late in the day and left a second message asking for a return call to confirm the date/time. Tuesday I finally received a call from their office and was told they would be out Friday February 4th between 7:45 - 8:00 am. I said great........ but was wondering if I had not called and requested to confirm the date/time, would I have been informed of the time change?? You'd think they would have called to let a customer know a change in either the date and/or time. I roll out of bed Friday morning at 7:00 am thinking I had plenty of time to get ready prior to their arrival. At 7:05 Mikes worker (son) is buzzing to get in and get started. Mind you I was told by their office just 3 days prior that they would be here Friday between 7:45 - 8:00 am. What changed? I told their "worker" about the scheduled time and early arrival and was not overly pleased with their lack of informing a customer of changes in schedule. From the start he comes across cocky, arrogant and hot tempered and said because we have a "bee" issue in the area they will be working they wanted to get started as early as possible while it's cool and before the bees become active. I completely understand this and would have been more than accommodating however 1) do you think you might want to call the customer ahead of time (maybe a day or two prior) and let them know of any change in the scheduled date/time??? Isn't that what a good reputable business that gives a shit about their customer does?? I'm quite sure you have a damn phone.......... use it!, 2) for their employee to come off cocky, arrogant and hot tempered with a customer, and while on my property....... there is no damn way I would EVER hire them or refer them to anyone. Their customer service and relations are horrible and that's putting it mildly which from reading several of the previous reviews is not the first time it's been on display. They may do a good job from some people, however if you want to roll the dice and see if you're one that get's treated like shit go for it. Myself.......... I'll take my business, my $$ and referrals and go elsewhere. My advice...... do the same. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

Vista Tree Service recently trimmed and topped our benjamina ficus trees. Decent prices, reliable friendly and clean.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. We had an estimate scheduled last month and the gave us a two hour window and they showed up right at the two hour mark. Today they were scheduled to do the work between 1 and 3 pm and never called at 230 we called dispatch and she said they should be there at 3 maybe 330 at the latest. Well, it is 515pm. No call no show and dispatch won't answer the phone. Wasted day!!!!!!!! I added two stars because they finally showed up two hours late outside there 3 hour window and did a pretty good job. I would recommend if you have 5 hours to wait around read more

They struggle to answer the phone but usually give a call back after a few messages. They showed up an hour late for the removal then asked to borrow our shovel and pick axe. Seems strange not to bring your own tools for a bamboo removal. There was a misunderstanding the quote and price but eventually they did what was promised on the quote for the price given. Overall the finished results were great, just a few unnecessary obstacle to get it all done. read more

I had them take down a tree last year and was very happy with their service. I now find that they do not return phone calls most of the time and do not care about responding to their customers. I recently needed to have several large pines on my property trimmed, and I contacted a few companies for quotes. Vista Tree Service provided me a quote that was more reasonable than the others and they were very knowledgable in regard to when and how best to trim the pines so as not to cause any undue stress or damage to the trees. Once the guys from Vista Tree Service got to work, they moved quickly, trimming all of the trees and removing the debris. Overall I was very happy with their service and will gladly call on them again the next time I need my trees trimmed. read more

They might be good at trimming trees but are not good at informing neighbors. They did my neighbors trees and in the process let branches fall on my herb garden and on some glass shelves with clay pots. The workers did look over the fence and saw that I had lots of planters near the fence. They did not seem to care so I though the "professionals" would know what they were doing. Accidents happen and that's okay but I was not informed branches were falling in my yard until I heard a crash and my herb garden was smashed. Then they finally said they need to clear some branches in my back yard. The guy tried to be helpful but was also not following any of the safety protocol put in place for Covid and got mad when I asked him to stand back. I do not want a sweaty stranger on top of me in my back yard. He should know to keep his distance. Workers were rude and also could not keep 6 feet away. They all should know better by now. read more

I could not be happier with this company. Today they removed two very large palm trees including grinding the stumps. The crew was professional, polite and one of the best groups of people you could ask to have at your home. We strongly recommend this business. They showed up 20 minutes early to trim our evergreen ash. We were really impressed! They had three very large trucks, two chippers (they only used one), and six workers. They worked very efficiently. Before they started trimming they completely cleared off our patio and they even wrapped tarp around our air conditioner to protect it. They completed the job in just two hours. When they were done they moved all furniture back onto the patio and did a terrific job of cleaning up the debris. It would be hard to find a tree service better than this; and their quoted price was certainly reasonable for the job. read more
