I was really not looking forward to spending more of my precious time and money on a smog check ordered by the kings of California. The two previous places I got these done seem to be no more, so I decided to try Vista Test Only. I am very happy with my decision. First of all, it was like 100F out, and the owner Sam handed me a chilled bottle of water. Then, some chocolate. Then some walnuts. He also brought over an air conditioning unit and pointed it right at me. Wow! He was also extremely friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy talking to and learning about his customers. He even helped he find a place to grab lunch after my test. And if all that wasn't enough, he also charged less than the other places I called up. Next time I need a test, I'm definitely going back to Vista! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I am so happy I came here for my smog test! They were one of few places open o sunday and the other reviews about amazing service is true. The man running the place is super sweet, offering me coffee, water, and treats during my short wait. I was in and out within 20 minutes and felt good leaving. The total cost for my 2018 Prius was $58! read more

Great fast service, and some fascinating conversation with the owner as well. How often do you get to say, "I really enjoyed getting my smog check?" read more

Best deal in town. but there are a few caveats. The coupons are not valid on Sundays. If you use one of their coupons, they want cash (no checks). Also, if you use a coupon and the vehicle fails the test, they charge $35 for a re-test. If you pay the full price without a coupon, currently $69, the re-test is free. Remember these rules, and you should have a good experience. read more

I had a great experience at Vista Test Only Center. It was pretty busy when I arrived, but the staff kept everything moving efficiently and communicated clearly about the wait. What really stood out was their customer service--they even offered me a cold bottle of water and a mini pastry while I waited, which was such a thoughtful touch. The technicians were professional, friendly, and had me in and out as quickly as possible despite the crowd. It's easy to see why they've built such a strong reputation for smog checks in Pasadena. Quick in and out!!! I come here for Koko, at least that's what it says on his shirt. Always in a good mood! Treats me as a person, not a "female" that doesn't know anything about cars. He conversed with every customer that he provides a smog. Koko has a great sense of humor! Love this guy! Hope he's here every time my cars need a smog! read more

I looked online for a coupon and came across this smog test place. A quick call to make sure I would be able to get a test done and then I went over. There was only one person there and he made sure that the test was quick and complete. Everything passed. I gave him cash for the testing and got the report. Afterwards I went to AAA and got my tags. The technician was pleasant to talk with. I hope others find value in his service and give him some business. read more

These guys do a good job, they are honest, quick, and I highly recommend them . I've gone there multiple times, and never had an issue.

This man is so kind. I needed a super last minute smog check and certificate, looking around google, no one was open except for him. It says they ope at 9 AM on Sundays but I walk in at 8:30 AM hoping for a miracle. Low and behold, this man is sitting here open. He immediately helps me out and even had the time to offer me a delightful snack and story. His pricing and service are great! read more

Nice service, straight to the point. A few chairs to sit and wait. Open Sunday till 3.

Been here twice to get car smogged. Download the coupon at www.smogtips.com for $40 smog otherwise it'll be close to $60. One technician, one smog bay, and depending on time of day you go, you may be waiting. Both times I've been here I've been asked, suggested, encouraged, solicited, whatever you want to call it, for a tip...a smog station... What's next, tipping your nurse after getting vaccinated? I get it, the economy is rough and it's tough all around...Can't blame them for trying but just putting it on here so you're not surprised and it creates an awkward moment when you're preparing to pay for your smog. read more

Vista Test Only Center - Car getting smog tested at vista test! - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Pasadena, California

Got my favorite notice in the mail (not!) to get a smog check. I am always afraid that my car may not pass, as it then requires you to do a whole series of challenging drive exercises. Thankfully, I passed and didn't have to do that this time! This shop gave me the best deal I ever recall getting on a smog check (with coupon code) and I was kindly helped late on a Saturday afternoon even though it was close to closing time. It was also done fairly quickly. It is a no-frills place, but who needs fancy when you're getting a smog check? As long as it is affordable and quick, that's all I need. The only less than ideal aspect of this place is that it is located in a tight area surrounded by lots of cars and other businesses, so it was a little stressful turning around our car to leave. But I saw in other reviews that if you really struggle, they may help you out. Overall, a solid place for a well-priced smog check! read more
