I received better service here than I have at Michelin star restaurants. They are exceedingly kind and very friendly as well as extremely professional. While getting your car smog may seem like a chore if you go to Vista test center you will receive service unmatched by even Disneyland standards. read more

The technician there was really relaxed. Did my smog in about 10-15 minutes. It was pretty quick, and he gave me a good price on the smog. I think the prices are probably better than all the other places around Pasadena.I did some price comparison, and this was the best place. read more

Quick in and out!!! I come here for Koko, at least that's what it says on his shirt. Always in a good mood! Treats me as a person, not a "female" that doesn't know anything about cars. Owner/ manager was very friendly and offered cold bottled water and had a seat with small mobile a/c unit to make you feel as comfortable as possible while he does the smog check. Prices are reasonable, just call ahead to get quote. It's a tricky spot to locate, but it's on Colorado Ave located in a multiple auto services center next to a Denny's. read more

I looked online for a coupon and came across this smog test place. A quick call to make sure I would be able to get a test done and then I went over. There was only one person there and he made sure that the test was quick and complete. Everything passed. I gave him cash for the testing and got the report. Afterwards I went to AAA and got my tags. This man is so kind. I needed a super last minute smog check and certificate, looking around google, no one was open except for him. It says they ope at 9 AM on Sundays but I walk in at 8:30 AM hoping for a miracle. Low and behold, this man is sitting here open. Been here twice to get car smogged. Download the coupon at www.smogtips.com for $40 smog otherwise it'll be close to $60. One technician, one smog bay, and depending on time of day you go, you may be waiting. Both times I've been here I've been asked, suggested, encouraged, solicited, whatever you want to call it, for a tip...a smog station... What's next, tipping your nurse after getting vaccinated? I get it, the economy is rough and it's tough all around...Can't blame them for trying but just putting it on here so you're not surprised and it creates an awkward moment when you're preparing to pay for your smog. read more

Got my favorite notice in the mail (not!) to get a smog check. I am always afraid that my car may not pass, as it then requires you to do a whole series of challenging drive exercises. Thankfully, I passed and didn't have to do that this time! This shop gave me the best deal I ever recall getting on a smog check (with coupon code) and I was kindly helped late on a Saturday afternoon even though it was close to closing time. It was also done fairly quickly. It is a no-frills place, but who needs fancy when you're getting a smog check? As long as it is affordable and quick, that's all I need. The only less than ideal aspect of this place is that it is located in a tight area surrounded by lots of cars and other businesses, so it was a little stressful turning around our car to leave. But I saw in other reviews that if you really struggle, they may help you out. Overall, a solid place for a well-priced smog check! read more

I went to Vista Test Only Center because of a coupon code I found. The service person l dealt with was old school and I bit gruff boardering on rude. Fast service, prefers cash (gave me a look when I tried to pay with credit card), and they do not do electronic processing of vehicle registration renewal with the smog certificate like some of the other smog test centers. Not a great experience but got the job done and a discount. read more

I contacted the owner and he said that he gave me a verbal quote and then said he gave me better pads( which is not reflected on the invoice or told to me prior to the work was done) and then went back to he gave me a verbal quote for the difference in price. The verbal quote he told me he gave was not even the price he charged me. Overall the service was good and quick. The quoting and charging was my issue. I will take ownership that I didn't inspect the final invoice before paying but I still think that the business owner should have honored his original quote and if an upgraded part was used and was billed (according to the owner) then should be approved beforehand.
