I had been…read moreintroduced to Dunn Edwards by my Contractor's sales person who told me that I could get a consultation on colors. I initially thought the service wouldn't be useful and that they would just give me some color swatches ... boy I was wrong! I was painting the exterior of my house and I had an idea of what I wanted, but was otherwise overwhelmed with the color options. I made an appointment with Susanna by calling the main # and they transferred me. Susanna helped me put together a few color schemes based on my preferences. The thing that stood out the most is that when I gave her a clear picture of my house, she provided me 3 digital renderings/edited version of my house with the new paint schema! It was amazing and so helpful to see everything on my house. She even did a 4th for me which was what I ended up selecting. Highly recommend using the color specialists in the store! Of note, this is a no charge service!

Great quality paint. I have been using Sherwin William paint for over 20 years and this is one of…read morethe best paint out there. I still have the original Emerald Softer Tan color in my hallway and the paint has not faded at all. I just went to this location in Fountain Valley to darken my Emerald Urithan Enamel Trim cabinets paint which I bought at another Sherwin William a few days earlier. I was very impressed with the staff working here. They were friendly and greeted me with a smile when I walk in even though they seem busy with 2 other customers. I have been to other professionals paint store including other Sherwin William store but was never greeted when I walk in. The manager Francis D. offer to try to change the color for me the best he can if I pick another color or he can darken what I have without additional cost. He did tell me once I change the original mix color I bought previously then it will be very difficult to mix up other batch. I decided to pick out 4 new paint color so my wife can decide this time once and for all so I do not waste my time going back and forth. Francis was very helpful and mix me 4 samples and I got a little discount for having an account there which is free to get. I asked Francis what his recommendation was for sample board to paint it on and he gave me some empty boxes and said I could use those to paint the samples on which I have never thought off. I was going to use a wooden board at home. I definitely would recommend coming to the Sherwin William Fountain Valley Store for the extra ordinary WOW service provided by Francis D. and his team. I used the Purdy Syntox 2 1/2 inch angular which gives it a smooth finish without having to sand with 400 grit. I did not sand in between coats either. I scruffs it with a wire cleaning brush really good then 2 coats of Premier Wall and Wood primer. I waited 24 hours in between coats. I used the Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel in Satin with Sturdy Brown 6097 paint color with 2 coats as well and waited 24 hours between coats. Maybe one day I will paint the top cabinets but for now it will be 1 of 1 designed in 2 tone.
