This review is aimed at the Vista Cleaners on MacArthur between 122nd and Memorial. I've personally never visited the location in Edmond, but I was recently informed that they share an owner.
The Vista Cleaners on MacArthur has some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. The hours are erratic, because apparently only one person manages that location. My husband drops off his shirts about twice a month to be cleaned - probably 5-7 shirts - and we never get them back when promised. Usually we drop them off on a Friday with the expectation to pick them up on the following Monday, which is when they tell us they will be ready. One of us will stop by, only to be told that the delivery hasn't made it in yet (this is around 6:00-6:30 p.m.) and we should check back tomorrow. Rinse and repeat. They once had his shirts for a little over a week, and when we questioned when they would be in, the woman working that day expressed very little concern about our problem. Luckily, they knocked 20% off our price that time.
Most recently, we dropped the shirts off on Friday with the expectation to pick them up Monday. Monday comes, the shirts aren't in, but we're promised they will be there on Tuesday. Tuesday comes, and we find out the owner had emergency gallbladder surgery and her husband is working. He finds about a fourth of our dry cleaning and informs us the rest hasn't been delivered and we should check back the next day. Wednesday comes, and both my husband and I speak with the owner's sister. She explains that the shirts we're waiting on haven't even been cleaned yet and they're still at the plant, which I assume is the Edmond location. Frustrated, my husband drives out to the location in Edmond and receives two shirts, because the rest haven't even been cleaned (keep in mind, this is Wednesday, and we dropped them off on Friday morning).
I would just like to point out that for the record, we've been using Vista Cleaners for almost two years and we've been hoping they would get better. I understand machines break and gallbladders need to come out, but that really doesn't justify the service we have received every single time we've used them. I personally believe that if you can't deliver dry cleaning within 24 business hours of drop off, don't promise that to your customer. The woman we spoke with most recently expressed that I simply must understand the volume the dry cleaning machines handle, and I do. What I don't understand is how my 5-7 shirts tend to break the machine. If a machine is breaking constantly, it seems like the machine needs to be replaced, lest upsetting paying customers.
I will say this: the Edmond location was nothing but kind to my husband when he went there, and the owner offered to personally deliver our dry cleaning to us to make up for the MacArthur location's actions. This is the kind of customer service that keeps people around, and I'd be more than willing to drive a bit longer to visit that location as opposed to the MacArthur location. I can, without a doubt, say that the MacArthur location is not cut from the same cloth, and I will never be visiting this location again. read more
