The guy working appeared high as a kite. He couldn't even put together two sentences. I was there at 6:45, they close at 7. He told me I could not drop anything off because they closed in 15 minutes. He said that he usually locks the door at 6:45 because the "owner" doesn't want him helping customers after the time (their posted hours are until 7PM and the Open sign was on). Mind you - the guy was so high that I could barely make out what he was saying. I told him that I've often come in to drop stuff off at 6:45 and have never been told they shut down early. He said it's not the store policy but it was his "personal" policy to lock the door at 6:45 and not help any customers after that time. He also told me that if I didn't believe him, he could call the owner who would tell me the same thing. Knowing he was lying and high as a kite, I said sure, call him. The guy went into some weird episode and I felt so uncomfortable and unsafe that I left. If you're alone - I strongly advise you don't go to this location. STAY AWAY. If you want your clothes to not be damaged, STAY AWAY. If you want a dry cleaners that operates professionally, STAY AWAY. There are way too many good dry cleaners within walking distance of this one. If you're the owner, you've got a problem on your hands. Good luck with that. I had asked the lady and she made some comment about how it would need an extra day. Didn't think much but saw nothing in the app about the shirt, so went in a few days later and they proceeded to tell me the nice white shirt was destroyed by ink. I had never been informed, the Tide app said nothing either, they just removed the item like it didn't exist. Then I said well will I be refunded because I need that shirt. They said they had credited my account already apparently, but I did not want credit. I wanted the money back to go buy the $60+ nice suit shirt from GQ back before it needed to be worn for a graduation in a few weeks. The kid I was talking to was very confused and seemed very young, and an older worker in the back said we will mail a check to your address instead. I said yes please, and have still yet to receive any kind of check after two weeks. They also decided to update my work pants to being cleaned along with hemmed, which I didn't ask for -- only hemmed, and are charging me more for having them cleaned now when they are still not ready after a month. I hate being a stickler. But the fact I received NO notification about destroying one of my items and had to go into the location and ask a bunch of questions and get vague responses is crazy! It's like they were trying to hide it from me by removing it from the app and not saying anything. I also need that check to rebuy the shirt and they don't seem to care. I picked the coat up and they charged me $20. I took the coat back and asked to look at the spot again because it was still there and I wanted to make sure they had seen it to focus the cleaning upon that spot. They took it and when I went to pick it back up, they charged me another $13. The spot is still there! I told the guy, I just paid $20 for this two days ago. You want me to pay another $13. and the spot is still there. He then said, "I told you that when you dropped it off." I responded back, "You weren't even here, you didn't tell me anything." He quickly left the room - he had been caught in a lie - but they charged me the $13. Here's the conclusion he's gonna lose $1200 a year to get his $13. Over the last seven years he's been paid around $7,000. He got his $13 but he's lost $7,000. What a brilliant businessman he is. I prefer to deal with men that have integrity. I perfer to deal with people who care about customers. I'm looking for a new dry cleaners now. Does anyone know a good one? This one is lacking in leadership, character and customer service.
