This constant rotation is especially confusing for someone with dementia, and I've had to personally meet with each new caregiver to explain how to communicate with him and what activities he enjoys. Over the course of ten months, some caregivers were kind, while others were outright unkind. I saw no real signs of specialized dementia training. Often, during the three-hour visits we paid for, they would simply let him sleep rather than engaging him in meaningful activities. UPDATE: My father went into the hospital and I texted Amanda at 5:10pm to let them know he needs services canceled for SUNDAY.
