So this is my second time through a round a PT here at this location. It's my shoulder this time,…read more but last year it was my knee after surgery. I have to give the employees at this location a 5. They care about helping their patients get better and learn how to keep progressing at home after therapy is over. The PTs and PTAs that I have had assigned to me have all been polite and knowledgeable. I even forgot my to go cup there one week and they went out of their way to keep it several days for me until my next session (that's above and beyond as it would have been easier on them to throw it away. It was even rinsed out). Equipment all appears in working order and is kept clean. The front desk staff are also very competent and great to work with. Here are the downsides (which in my opinion are mgt issues outside of the control of this PT location so I didn't ding their review: They are busy as in it takes 3-4 months from referral (even from their own doctors) to evaluation. They do prioritize surgery patients (so no wait time there) and took can take your referral for PT where ever but that seemed liked more work for me than waiting and I couldn't be bothered this time. You can't call the PT desk directly...and that's annoying... you have to call the CORE main number and eventually you get transferred to them (this does take more than 15 min usually so hang in there!) All in all I would use this location and core again for PT, once you get in.... they are great.

I'm…read moreprimarily a cyclist, but started running in February with a goal to do a full marathon by year-end. Hence, my referral to Foothills Sports Medicine. I received a call from them the moment my referral was processed to schedule. They were able to schedule me as early as the following day. Super convenient location in Peoria right off 91st x Olive. Plenty of ample parking. The entire facility is incredibly clean and I was greeted immediately after I walked in. After scheduling, they sent me a link via email that allowed me to print out and fill out my new patient paperwork. Once I checked in, they assigned me a physical therapist. Miranda met me with and I explained in detail how I messed up my right leg. She really listened to me intently and explained how we'd be proceeding. She examined me and agreed that there was no reason why I should be injured and also could not understand why I'm not qualified to ride in the Tour de France next year. She cupped the back of my leg in order to allow the muscle inflammation to do its thing and also recorded me running on the treadmill. We critiqued my running style and even though I think I look like a superstar, she gave me a few suggestions which will inevitably have me feeling better. After that, I learned a few new important stretching workouts (which I discovered I am not entirely coordinated at) and also got hooked up to the TENS unit which felt good. Prior to leaving, Miranda gave me some daily stretches to do at home and also cleared me to do some light jogging to keep things moving. It was a great visit with her and I learned a lot. She answered all of my questions and overall, I'd say it was beneficial. I hope that I'll be back to 100% very soon. I really wish my insurance covered more of the visit because money for awesome new bike parts is now going to making my hamstring better. Thanks for all the awesome help and thanks for everything you do, Miranda!

Impact Physical Therapy has been amazing so far. I was in an accident that left me with several…read moreinjuries, and being in my third trimester of pregnancy has made getting treatment extra tricky. A lot of places either don't have experience treating pregnant women or are super limited in what they'll actually do, which can be really frustrating, even with my OB's approval. I was going to another PT place before this and honestly felt kind of hopeless. They weren't very personable or confident, and I felt like they were too scared to touch me, like I just had to wait until after I gave birth to get real help. I knew I was capable of doing more and wasn't improving at all, it was starting to take a toll on my mental health. Deciding to switch to Impact was the best move I could've made. The care here is night and day. You actually work with physical therapists one-on-one, not just techs, and everyone is super friendly, professional, and knows what they're doing. They offer a bunch of holistic treatment options like cupping, massage, dry needling, stretching, and strength work. I've only been going a little over a week, and already I feel so much more hopeful. I'm willing to do the work, I just needed the right guidance, and they've absolutely given me that. They don't treat me like I'm fragile or extremely limited just because I'm pregnant, and that means so much. I'm excited to keep going and finally feel like I'm on the right path to recovery.

Knee PT was fine there and I liked who I delt with…read more One person there seems very immature and says insensitive things to elderly customers walking in- during one of my appts- one elderly gentleman came inching in with his walker to do his regular Pt it seemed like. This younger guy who is apparently early 30's knew his name & had the gall to say, "I bet I'm in worse shape than you as he is tossing a football in the air and then shoots a washcloth into a hamper like he was shooting a basketball... and the elderly gentleman seemed very put-off by his comment and said- yeah I doubt it how old are you and he proceeded to say he was early 30's... And the older man scoffed and kept inching his way past him using his walker... Very distasteful. I'm glad I never had to work with that person- I would have requested someone new or this review would be way worse. I went a handful of times this summer and did a lot of Pt I was used to before moving to this area.... I was playing in a summer basketball league and needed the extra support for my knee and therapy to help me recover between my practices and games. I referred my mom there and I also took my teen son there- who has been going through a growth spurt forever it seems and while playing competitive basketball, he's gotta maintain proper form doing things and support his active body as it's growing with Pt moves to help strengthen his core to support his high impact training. We saw another person- Jeremy and he was helpful and patient with my son. Took his time and we got a printout of moves for him to continue before/after each practice and game. We also did cupping on his lower back. Which helped his muscles recover quicker. I'd recommend him for sure! Great bedside manner! Thanks Jeremy!! They also did scraping on the backside of my knee where my tendons were getting really tight. It helped a lot but man in the moment it HURT!!! Wow! My son's basketball coach and my fellow teammate also went there this summer and she has had major issues with her Achilles and they scrapped that as well so she could keep playing g with us. After wasting soo much time since about 3pm today and now it's 4:18- I finally have a $9.86 bill handled that they had left on my account... Apparently I'm supposed to get a free hat for my referrals but- keep the hat- handle the $10. Like come on... The front desk girls couldn't give the proper info needed to make the payment on the automated system and then she hung up on me and proceeded to call me back claiming the call was disconnected. Yeah... right. I don't buy it. Just let James know how they need to make their payment system more seamless and their offices should KNOW how to direct a customer to pay their bill with a reference number- not the statement number. Like what I had to deal with. They have a lot of elderly people there and I highly doubt they want to sit on the phone playing g phone tag and dealing with automated systems just to pay a bill that the actually office who treated them for-couldn't handle themselves. I bet far less patient than myself. Take note corporate. Had I not had to deal with all that- they would probably be 4 stars... because of the younger guy with dumb comments to clients that everyone on the open apt floor could hear loud and clear.

I wanted a team that was experienced, attentive, and committed to helping me prepare for back-to-back surgeries and return to the active lifestyle I love--traveling, competitive pickleball, hiking, and more. I researched several facilities before choosing White Tanks Physical Therapy, and I'm so glad I did. From day one, my experience has been exceptional. The staff is genuinely friendly, professional, and welcoming. The clinic is always clean, organized, and has a positive atmosphere where it's clear everyone enjoys what they do. I'm now four weeks into my first knee replacement recovery. I've followed every recommendation from my therapists, and thanks to their guidance and encouragement, I feel confident I'll be ready for my second knee replacement in just two months. I've primarily worked with Pablo and had one session with Emily, but I've observed all of the physical therapists in action and they are outstanding--knowledgeable, experienced, compassionate, and truly invested in their patients' success. Pablo is my primary physical therapist, and I highly recommend him. That said, if he's unavailable, you can feel confident knowing the rest of the team provides the same exceptional level of care. I WHOLEHEARTEDLY RECOMMEND WHITE TANKS PHYSICAL THERAPY! (Sorry for the all caps, but it seemed like the best way to express just how strongly I feel!)
