But I can't keep this secret anymore. James is absolutely incredible. His attention to detail honestly blows my mind. He's not your typical chiropractor who pushes memberships, has you come in twice a week forever, and just starts popping bones for fun. Nope. He actually takes the time to figure out the root cause of what's going on. When he explains what my issues might be and what I could be doing to cause them, I swear it feels like he has a hidden camera in my office and my house watching my every move. He knows exactly what habits (not bad... just very me) are contributing to my pain. Once I got that text I realized I was triple booked that day, I called as soon as I got the text at 9:28 and Jocelyn answered the phone, she then "reminded me" that I must call 48 hours in advanced in order to not be charged a fee.... she's soooo worried about 28 minutes? That's ridiculous in my opinion. I could understand if I called 24 hours before hand and your policy is 48 hours but it makes me question if yall are really hurting that bad you need to worry about a less than 30 minute difference which makes me question if this is where I should really go. She also had a hard time staying within the perimeters I have for scheduling. I drive myself but I also have several other appointments during the week totally anywhere from 4-9 a week. So scheduling can be a little difficult but I gave her between 9 & 1 and for some reason I was still being offered options outside of that. And it's not like I said this several phone calls prior, I say it in every phone call where I set up appointments because I don't expect them to remember between calls but I don't think it's unreasonable to hope they would remember when it was said during this call. I know jen was out sick that day and that Jocelyn was doing her best to cover but jen is the best receptionist I've seen there so far in my roughly 2 years with yall. From what I can tell, an outside perspective she really goes above and beyond not just for the company but for the client too I really appreciate how things have turned around since she has showed up! Alyssa is amazing as well I've never had issues with her or dr. Andrew. I hope less than 30 minutes really doesn't make a difference and Jocelyn didn't charge me that visit, I just find it very odd that I'm almost being scolded over less than 30 minutes especially when I called as soon as I received the text from yall.

Regardless of the PT I went to, the diagnosis was the same, as well as the prescribed therapy to help me recover. While the pain would gradually subside, it never completely went away, and would inevitably return after any excessive use of my right arm. After 4 months of very limited motion in my right shoulder, I decided to try something different. Biomechanix wasn't in my insurance network, but I heard great things about them, so I paid out of pocket and took the chance. Worth every penny. The vibe is very friendly, and everyone there is extremely knowledgable and helpful. My therapist, Craig Galbasini took me through a variety of movements to assess the problem, and then showed me some exercises to help address my mobility limitations. If I'm being honest, I was pretty skeptical of what he asked me to do because the exercises weren't very flashy, and didn't seem to be directly related to the area I was feeling pain. I went along with it and kept wondering in the back of my mind when we were really going to get to work. After 4 treatments, (FOUR!) the pain had all but gone away, and my mobility is better than it's ever been. He didn't just band-aid the issue, but found the root of the problem and took care of it. I'm going on 90+ days now and have not only returned to the gym and normal activity, but I don't have to nurse my right arm like I did before. Mobility and strength has improved dramatically, and I learned a lot about how to protect and maintain shoulder health going forward. Bottom line: You owe it to your body to get help from the best. In my hunt I found Empower and I am beyond grateful that I did. From the first time I walked in for my consultation, I immediately felt at ease that I was in good hands. Scheduling is easy, you talk to a real human when you call the office, not some 8 million button pushing automated response line, but a real life person. The office has extended hours which allowed me to not have to change my work schedule in order to receive care, which is definitely a bonus. You can get email or text reminders of appointments, which is always nice when life gets busy. While the whole staff is great, I had the absolutely pleasure of working with David and Waldo as my PT team. These two are a dynamic duo. David is a master of his craft and even after my first visit I was feeling more human. David is personable and relatable. He makes sure that you are challenged into improving on your goals without pushing you too far. He has a great ability to know just what will work to get you feeling human again. I was on my second week of PT for a broken knee surgery. The PT, Andy AlanisLafarga performed…read moremanual knee flexion AROM and I pulled away my LE having excruciating pain. I burst in tears and despite of my knee being sore and hurting Andy asked me to bike for another 8 minutes and he continued my knee flexion ROM in order to reach 55 degrees. He also advised me to continue the exercises at home which I did. My knee became very sore and swollen and I texted Dr.Cummings for his advice. He told me to ice it and stop the exercises and see him next day. I had an X-ray and everything was ok. I was icing my knee and very light exercises. I wasted a week and my rehabilitation pace and I switched my PT location and start all over again with a new evaluation. I definitely did not have a good experience.
