A lot of places either don't have experience treating pregnant women or are super limited in what they'll actually do, which can be really frustrating, even with my OB's approval. I was going to another PT place before this and honestly felt kind of hopeless. They weren't very personable or confident, and I felt like they were too scared to touch me, like I just had to wait until after I gave birth to get real help. I knew I was capable of doing more and wasn't improving at all, it was starting to take a toll on my mental health. Deciding to switch to Impact was the best move I could've made. The care here is night and day. You actually work with physical therapists one-on-one, not just techs, and everyone is super friendly, professional, and knows what they're doing. All the doctors, I have met have advised me to undergo surgery and avoid physical strain (like climbing stairs etc). They have also asked me to avoid working bedside and to get a desk job. My pain became worse on October 2019 and I started having severe symptoms of pain on individual areas like calves, knees and thigh. I was very depressed and was seeking for the option of Physical Therapy. My husband's colleagues had suggested to see Jason Paladino and this was where my life has changed. Jason is a very pleasant and kind human being. I have always believed that healing starts with the the mind. From day one onwards Jason has been very positively reenforcing. He has motivated me every single session. With the kind of exercise plan he had provided along with dry needling, I was able to see a huge leap in my recovery. I was struggling with a pain in my back and shoulder blade area for several months. I could not sleep and it started to dramatically effect my quality of life. Many visits to chiropractic and at home PT/yoga did not fix it and I really did not want to get an MRI and possibly surgery. On a recommendation from my chiropractor I decided to try physical therapy instead. On the first visit I went through a diagnosis with Jack. He was incredibly upbeat, positive and easy to talk to. It became immediately clear he was very knowledgeable. After a detailed analysis of my condition we went over some stretches etc to get me back to full functionality and pain free. He had a perfect balance to push me enough to get results without severe pain. After leaving I felt great about the visit and clinic yet still skeptical it would get me 100% pain free. The day after my visit I received an email from Jack with detailed exercises to do at home. I continued biweekly one hour visits for a month with daily stretches and exercises in the plan. Jack continued to email me new exercises to taylor the plan and exercises to my condition. After a month I transitioned to once weekly visits as the pain slowly subsided. Once I was pain free there was no high pressure attempts to continue my visits to the clinic. I had my home exercises and even an exercise band they provided to do what I needed from home. I also want to give a shout out to the other members of the staff. Everyone was very positive and helpful. To make it even better my insurance even covered most if not all of the cost of my visits.
