He was very informative and walked me through their scheduling during the lockdown, their pricing etc. I explained that I needed contacts for work and that my glasses weren't cutting it. He immediately checked his schedule and was able to get me in the next day. I received a follow up call the next morning reminding me to bring my eyewear and any info I had on my current Rx. Upon arriving the office ladies greeted me and had me fill out my paperwork. They were very kind and welcoming. My exam with Dr. Freedle was wonderful, he explained so much about my prescription and the different benefits of contacts vs glasses. I had never gotten so much information at other offices. By the time I left I had a new prescription, contacts for the year and drops to prevent dry eye. The cost was extremely reasonable; given the care I received and products, I am very surprised at how much I paid. The pricing is less than most in the area and the service received is 5 stars. Truly a wonderful experience, I will be recommending them to everyone who needs an optometrist. And as of today, I will be a loyal patient going forward. Thank you Dr. Freedle and Office ladies!

Dr. Polsinelli was so thorough and has the nicest personality! Turns out he's married to his partner optometrist, Dr. Miyamoto, who graduated from the same high school I did! Such a small world. His exam and explanations were beyond my expectations. I mean I've been told for years that I had dry eyes, but no one ever said how to treat it other than buy eye drops. Dr. Polsinelli actually gave me a lesson on home remedies and what causes the dry eyes. After talking about my life changes, he also told me he offers free pediatric eye exams to children 6-12 months old. Wow! I just can't say enough about his practice and I look forward to meeting his wife one day!

She smiles all the time and you can hear it in her voice when she answers the phone. She is just PERFECT to be the one to greet and one who answers the phone! I had Shay help me pick out my frames when I was there in the fall and she was WONDERFUL. I, however, was NOT wonderful to my glasses. No no. I scratched not ONE but BOTH LENSES right in the middle of the lens. Grrr. So I figured oh well I'm just going to have to pay for new lenses. I got them in November and it's July!! Well the day I called Alexa answered bright and cheery as usual. I told her my sad story and she asked for my information so she could look up my account. Well I apparently had a TWO year warranty for scratches!!! Yeeeehaw!! So she said NO PROBLEM, we will just order the new lenses and then call you when they come in. You can swing by anytime it's convenient to get them swapped out! After about two weeks I realized that I hadn't given her my new phone number. So even IF she called she wouldn't get me! Lol. So I called and (yup Alexa again!) She said hey!!! We have your lenses!! I popped in the next day and it was just her and Shay (I apologize if I've misspelled your name!) They got right to it and Shay had a hard time cleaning my glasses as I'd put these cheap plastic pads on to keep them from sliding lol She took those off, reshaped them and I keep them on my nose and then got back to cleaning the lenses. She went back again into the room Alexa had swapped the lenses out and called Alexa in. They found a HUGE scratch on my NEW lenses!! Then as she finally got rhem cleaned and fitted, she found another on the other lens. I was not upset because what can you do right? But Shay said THIS isn't acceptable. She said try he first thing the next day she'd call the lab to expedite me a new pair of lenses. That would only have been a week tomorrow. I was VERY impressed, again with th level OF POST service/appointment care. They genuinely care and genuinely like what they do. That's clear. I'll keep going here as long as they'll see me!! Due to a few years of procrastination and then COVID, it had been 6 years since our last eye exams and getting new glasses, so we were long overdue -- when road signs become almost too blurry to see while driving, you KNOW it's time to stop procrastinating. I checked the website and I liked that appts were required so that customer visits could be spaced out in order to limit the number of people sitting in the waiting area at any one time. We were the only ones waiting when we arrived. The reception desk is directly in front when you enter and we were warmly greeted immediately. To save time, we had filled out all our paperwork online so we were all checked in. I am bad about remembering names but everyone we came in contact with was friendly and seemed like they truly enjoyed their job. There is a private parking lot and the inside of the building seemed fairly newly remodeled and was clean and well organized. Everyone is masked and masks are still required for anyone entering the building. The one person's name I did remember (as well as her great glasses!) was Lindsey (sp). I was pretty anxious about my exam since it had been so long since my last one and I'm not getting any younger these days. Lindsey expertly guided me through all the fun eye tests and answered all my questions. Dr Tammy Nguyen did our exams. She was so nice and professional and explained everything she was doing as she examined my eyes and had me read all those eye charts. I especially loved that for an extra fee, you can have a digital scan of your eyes rather than those annoying dilation drops. I was especially worried about age-related macular degeneration as both of my parents had it. Dr Nguyen assured me that there was no indication of it but I did have a few cataracts that were normal for someone my age, so we'll need to keep an eye on it. Except for the normal changes all our eyes go through, I was relieved to know that everything was OK and all I needed were new prescription lenses. After the exam, I was escorted to the room where you choose your new frames. Everything was organized and displayed in a way that made sense. I'm kinda overwhelmed by too many choices, like kid in a candy store with a dollar to spend. Again, I didn't get her name but the young technician who helped me was professional and patient so I put myself completely in her hands. She helped me pick out two new pair of glasses that fit and flattered my face (I chose the Ray-Ban aviator-style sunglasses, the only style I will wear). And I'm not going to lie, prices aren't as low as Costco but the selection is excellent and you do get what you pay for. My husband even found a pair of wrap-around sunglasses he hasn't been able to find anywhere else. We were both very happy with the customer service, our frame and lens choices and the experience overall. Can't wait until our glasses are ready! Tigard Vision Center is a solid 5 stars.

There were two employees working there, Chad and Jacque, and about 6 people ahead of us in the line. Normally, at any other Costco, it takes about 10 mins per person - the customer comes with their chosen frame, all it takes is to measure distance between eyes and create an order. In this case, Chad and Jacque show no regard to the people waiting and showed no intent to move quicker than they did - they were engaged in small talk to each other and to customers, were walking around, and line did not move in half an hour at all. And all we wanted is to have a closer look at designer frames in the sealed glass cabinet, but they could not help us with that without making us stand in long line. This combined is just remarkably bad attitude to work and customers! To add insult to the injury, we gave up on waiting, gave up on Costco Tigard, decided we would not buy anything there, went to Washington square mall, found Warby Parker store, and ordered glasses for $145, with polycarbonate single vision lens, anti-scratch and anti-reflective coating, and a frame, all included in the price - which beats Costco pricing by a wide margin! Great, what do we pay membership fee at Costco for??? To stand in line and get not so great price?? And later we went to Aloha costco to buy grocery (we are done with Costco Tigard), where we walked past the vision center and employees there were efficient and there was no line to get their attention. COSTCO TIGARD VISION CENTER, YOU SUCK! How did you manage to hire such inefficient employees??

We bought a Groupon coupon for this company; we paid $59 for $200 credit towards frames and lenses, no eye exam. This looked good to me as I've always wanted a prescription pair of reading glasses rather than the cheap cheaters. I went in and asked for the least expensive frames they have, with no frills on the lenses, and wanted the simple near vision part of my prescription put in the lenses, The woman pushed back pretty much insisting that the glasses would be of nor real use if I didn't spring for the no-glare, and polycarbonate lens features. Even after I said I didn't want those things she wrote both down on the quote anyway. Their cheapest frames are $165, ($100 more than most places), they charge over $100 for each add-on she included, (which are $43 and $29 other places), so I'm looking at some significant money before even talking about getting the glasses made! They quoted me $465 for a simple pair of no frill reading glasses. This is more than the price of my full progressive lenses with some add-ons at another shop. In my experience they mark up the price so steeply they still make a tidy profit even when they offer a $59 for $200 store credit. Since i just bought it I was able to cancel my Groupon for this place, but want to warn other unsuspecting consumers.
