The front desk person with the green hair was fabulous! I'm new to the area and she went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Everyone I came into contact was kind, and informative. The doctor and staff that performed the surgery were all very professional and made me feel at ease since I was a bit nervous. I'm not going to lie. The procedure is not comfortable but it's over so quick. The recovery sucked for the hour car ride home but once I passed out it was all gravy. For anyone thinking about it, I wouldn't hesitate. I got lasik with Dr Whiting at The Whiting Clinic in 2016 which included lifetime enhancements. I now live out of state and called in 2021 to get direction on how to maintain the warranty being that there used to be a requirement to get a yearly eye exam and send the result to the clinic. Nothing was said about any change of ownership. I was told that they did away with that requirement and I could just contact them when a revision was needed and the warranty would stand. That time is now and I contacted Whiting Clinic a few months ago to get information about how I go about setting up an appointment for a revision. That person again said nothing about it not being his practice or that there would be any issue having this done. She sent me the document to have filled out at an eye exam documenting my current vision and have it emailed or faxed over there. I called again recently to ask about the timeline of getting scheduled and how close the eye exam needed to be to surgery. This employee now suddenly told me that my lifetime warranty does not exist at Whiting clinic due to the change of ownership. I have consulted with the manager Meg at OVO lasik where Dr. Whiting now practices. She validated all of this shady business that LASIK Plus is doing with his previous patients and their current patients! There is no personally identified manager they will allow me to talk to with LASIK Plus and every point of contact I try to make just gets shut down and goes nowhere. My dilemma is that I am owed a free enhancement and need one done, but at this point I don't even want these crooks touching my eyes! Just wanted to share my story. Pretty disappointed with the service I've received at Lasik Plus, considering this was a $6,000 procedure. While my initial consultations were all good, it seemed like the moment I agreed to move forward with the surgery I'd been seen as nothing but a large payment they want to receive and move on from. Days before my procedure, I got only one unprofessional/sketchy looking email that simply asked if I wanted Vicodin for the procedure. I said yes and heard absolutely nothing back, even after I attempted to follow up with them for confirmation everything was good and I ended up taking nothing during the procedure. During the day of the surgery, I felt like a cow being ushered into a slaughterhouse. It was just a robotic procession of people getting this major surgery, one after the other. It's a lot of money, so I expected a lot more care. Once I went in to the surgery room, it was a quick, but highly uncomfortable and very impersonal laser to the eyes. Before I even knew what had happened, the assistant (who is also their front desk person) put my purse in my hands and shoved me out into a hallway. It's super bright, I can see nothing.. my husband wasn't allowed to be in the waiting area, so I blindly and painfully stumbled to the front door and just went home. While my left eye, which was the one that was blurry before the procedure, has been so much more clear, my right eye (which my previous eye doctor said nothing was wrong with and had 20/20 vision in) has gotten so much worse. My right eye, my dominant eye, is now near-sighted. I had to beg LasikPlus to check my right eye out months after my surgery. They finally agreed, but the assistant and doctor not only made me feel like I'm an idiot, but that I was really wasting their time. They said there is nothing wrong with my right eye and suggested cleaning it. I'm a year out from that last visit and my right eye has gotten severely worse. I'm so upset. Every day I wake up, my blurry right eye is my first thought. It consumes my thoughts throughout every day, when I'm trying to read anything or look outside or use my eyes in any way... this is a nightmare for me that I had spent 4 years saving up to pay for. Going in to Lasik I was a nervous wreck and had lots of questions. The optometrist doc listened to all my concerns and made sure my tests were accurate 100% so that my results would be perfect. Please forgive my brutally honest long review. I contacted LasikPlus not having very high expectations. My pre-conceived notion was that LasikPlus was the TJ Max of Lasik and Teplik was the Nordstrom's. I will admit I was completely wrong and boy did I have that backward. Dr. Sam from LasikPlus went above and beyond to answer my questions and concerns. Please note: I called Dr. Teplik's office concerned my Lasik had failed. and they did not allow me to speak with anyone immediately even I am their patient. Even more impressive was the professionalism by Dr. Sam. She said nothing negative about Dr. Teplik, ensured me that my vision changes were unlikely from Lasik failure, and still referred me back to Teplik for an evaluation. Regardless, Teplik under-corrected both of my eyes and I had to return for second Lasik. Dr. Sam took the time to understand my situation and concerns completely. After 20 years of wearing contacts, I finally made the decision to live life lens free and booked a consultation on the LasikPlus website, very easy to navigate. My consult was 2 days after that and I had surgery the same day. Just as everyone else says - why did I wait so long to actually do this?! Pro tip: if you book your appt before 10a, parking will be easy cuz most businesses in that area don't open till then! 9a = VIP parking. I had to call the # on the sign in front of their door to get inside - covid restricts the # of people they can have in their office. I was greeted by a tech named Tyler, super nice dude with beautiful blue eyes - immediately felt like a friend. He is a true professional, the kind that you can tell that he loves his job. Tyler gave me a quick tour of their state-of-the-art facility before inspecting my bluish-greens and placed me in a optometrist office to wait for the Dr. Everything looked clean and felt very sterile. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Shahi for my procedure. She was very thorough, calming, and scientific. I could tell that she had the best training for today's technology. Her time with me felt very personal and considerate. The confidence and positivity that she exudes cancelled out any nervousness or hesitations that I had. I had LASIK performed on a same dqy basis meaning I went in for my testing to see if I was a candidate (I was) and they went ahead with the surgery immediately after. I think I was there a total of about three hours. The entire staff couldn't have been better. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The surgery itself took very little time and was extremely easy. A little pressure but no pain. After the surgery they tell you to go home and try to take a nap, which I did. When I woke up my eyes felt a little scratchy but more irritating than painful. They gave me a couple of meds to take home and I was donel. The whole process was so easy and the quote they gave me over the phone was the exact amount I paid. I was sure they would add something at the last minute but I had both eyes done for less than $4000! I can now read menus, look at my phone and see price tags without glasses or contacts. I am what they call an "O.G." My family has a history of eye issues, and I got my first pair of glasses a looooong time ago (early 90s). Switched over to contact lenses and I was perfectly fine with having them on for the rest of my life. Then a funny thing happened. I noticed that my coworkers were getting Lasik, one by one. I waited a few months, asked questions, and wasn't thrilled with the idea of a laser slicing your eye open (which is not true, but you get it). I did some research and asked myself if I wanted to go through the hassle each year of getting an eye appointment, paying for glasses/contact lenses, long said glasses/contact lenses on vacation, etc. The initial consultation is free, so I didn't have anything to lose. They check your vision and see how thick your corneal flap is to be eligible for LASIK. Given my strong prescription and thin cornea, I was eligible for PRK instead. The major difference is that PRK removes the thin out layer of the cornea, and the recovery time can take from a few days to a few weeks. The surgery lasted a total of 10-15 minutes, no pain. I was able to see instantly but was instructed to go home and rest. I was given drops and scheduled for post follow up care as well. As for pricing, it's very affordable. I used my FSA card, and they do offer Care Credit, which is like a Credit card and you pay off the balance, I opted for the first 12 months 0% interest. It's been 3 weeks and the results are mind-blowing. I can see! Just make sure to wear sunglasses outside and stay consistent with your drops. If I could give zero stars, I would. I had made 2 appointments, which were cancelled the day before from the clinic. The first one was cancelled because they "didn't have staffing." The second one was cancelled for no reason. But I had heard a good review, and they're scheduling online was convenient, so I made one more appointment. They cancelled on me the day of my appointment, which I live 45min away from. They stated that the physician was out sick. All of the cancellations were via text messaging, they couldn't even give me a phone call. Any other establishment that requires an appointment reserves a cancellation fee, some places have cancellation fees up to 48 hours. The fact that the continually dismissed me, quite disrespectfully, and are not held accountable is ridiculous. Ironically, two weeks after I had texted back with my disappointment in their professionalism about cancelling on me 3 times, they called me stating that I missed an appointment. I would assume they were trying to save face, gaslighting me into thinking I no showed. Big yikes. Terrible customer service. Why would anyone want to go to a clinic with no employees, and the establishment themselves are unprofessional, before you even walk through the door? read more

I'm a bit late on writing a review but it's only because I really wanted to feel fully confident about my thoughts about my experience with Lasik. Like many others, I have been weary about getting it done due to hearing all the "scary stories" but one day in November 2018 I decided to just go in for a consultation. I met the sweetest and most informative people - so much to the point that I asked if I could get my Lasik surgery done that day. The staff really do their utmost best to make sure that you're comfortable and really encourage you to ask as many questions as you can so that they can give you peace of mind. The process was so easy and I really, truly can't even express how happy I am with the results of my Lasik surgery. Even during the surgery, the doctor talks you through exactly what is going on and that you are never left in the dark. If anything, I wish I had gotten Lasik done sooner. This is literally the best choice I have made in my life after wearing glasses since I was 10 and wasting money on contacts since 14 that only dried and irritated my eyes. Contacts, glasses, and yearly eye exams are so much more expensive in the long run and even the amount I have spent on them already in comparison to getting Lasik Surgery. I'm still paying off the money for my Lasik surgery (their monthly payment program is really easy and affordable in my opinion) and I am not even unhappy at all about it. After posting my previous review, Chris contacted me to connect me with Dr. Curttright. Dr. Curttright personally scheduled me for an appointment to evaluate the issues I've been having since I got LASIK surgery in 2008. Dr. Curttright provided me information consistent with other eye doctors I've met with, along with new knowledge and better advice that I had not received before. I trusted her and received a great sense of reassurance after my visit. My eyeballs are still healthy. The meeting we had was very educational, and I wish I had gotten LASIK two years later when Dr. Curttright was on board. I have the option of enhancing my vision, but after my experience, I wouldn't be willing to take the risk anytime soon, if ever. However, it is comforting to know the option is available to me if I ever wanted to get 20/20 (or better) vision again. If it's any advice I can give to those thinking about getting LASIK surgery, it is to research, research, research! Make a strong, educated decision. Get a second or even third opinion about whether you would be a good candidate. I'm writing this review with much dissatisfaction. I am 27 y.o healthy female, & I had Lasik with Dr Cornell about 13 months ago and my vision was great for six months! Then slowly it began to regress, and now my vision is actually worse today than it was prior to my lasik surgery. Though I really had a great experience with the staff & Dr Cornell, I'm super disappointed with the results. I'm disappointed that after my vision began worsening around 6 months I did more research, and spoke to multiple other optometrists, I was informed that most doctors to NOT recommend lasik surgery until your 30 and are done having children due to the hormonal changes during those years. I was not informed of this at all, I was just told I was a candidate and convinced this was the end all be all and actually had the consultation & surgery same day... yes, my mistake. I should have done my own thorough research prior to having Lasik done & I regret it deeply. Not only did my vision regress after 6 months, lasik completely damaged my tear production and I have chronically dry eyes & am no longer a candidate for contacts... :( Lastly, like I said- the staff and Dr are very sweet, and were great- but my hope in writing this review is that people who do their own research prior to making big decisions on surgical treatments. read more

I had LASIK surgery at LasikPlus almost one year ago exactly. Everyone there was super nice. The surgery team was really comforting right down to their voices. The surgery went well, but not something I'd like to do again. My eyesight was improved to the point I didn't need glasses. Not perfect, but good enough. I'd noticed that my vision seemed to be getting worse but was still glad I didn't need to deal with glasses fogging up with my mask and stuff. Recently I started having a lot of weird eye twitching. I called LasikPlus and was told since it had been almost a year, I should go to my regular eye doctor. When I got an eye exam they said the twitching was probably from straining because I need glasses. The doctor said there was very little, if any, difference from my last exam (prior to surgery) and I would probably benefit from two pair of glasses. One for near, and another for far. (I previously only needed one pair) I called to let LasikPlus know that the surgery didn't last even a year. The gal I spoke to wasn't very sympathetic but did ask if I was interested in another surgery. I told her no thanks. I didn't mind going through it once, I don't want to do it again though. I'm staining to type this because I haven't gone to pick out my frames yet so I can't see very well. I couldn't see to fill out the paperwork at my dental appointment the other day. My sight feels about as bad as before the surgery but I'm struggling to get glasses that work. My eye doctor said that I'll need two pair, one for near and one for far, or bifocals now. The surgery cost about $4000 and all I got was dry eyes and worse vision. And my eyes burn and the sun hurts. I'm really bummed about wasting all that money. read more

The team has been absolutely wonderful! My 20/20 vision (it's actually better than 20/20) is back after my astigmatism (and farsightedness) got worse and worse over the years.
