What. An. Experience. I've always had perfect vision, but as I've gotten older, I felt like it was finally time to get an eye exam. Right off the bat, the entire staff was very welcoming and friendly. I had no idea what I was doing, considering I've never done this kind of thing and honestly, I'm pretty bad when it comes to how I use my insurance. They were able to help me figure that all out to a T. The eye exam was quick, easy, and very professional. Dr. Choquette was really cool and fun to crack jokes with. He was able to help me with any questions I had. After the eye exam, it turned out that my vision was still just fine, but after talking about my lifestyle with the staff. They recommended that I should at least make the attempt at protecting my eyes and gave me some good suggestions. They spent a lot of time helping me find glasses that A. looked good one me and B. were able to fit my larger than life head. Overall, the experience was great, and I've already begun suggesting it to all my friends. If you're worried about getting glasses, you don't gotta sweat. Visionworks is by far the best place I've ever gone for glasses, but this location goes above and beyond what it means to take care of your patients/customers. All of the staff that I've had the pleasure of dealing with have been nothing but friendly and professional, I cannot sing their praises enough! I Kevin was very helpful and kind and most of the employees are extremely kind. However there was a lot of issues with the lenses themselves and we had to return them several times. My husband's lenses were made incorrectly as well. The manager wasn't pleasant through the experience as I had something to do with lenses not working out. Where do I begin? The one star is based on the fact that they carry a brand I liked. That's it. Because if there was an option for no stars, I would have went with that. The customer service here is incredible. Incredibly crappy. I had all my choices printed out before hand. So I could purchase, order and leave. Nope. The "sales" lady advised the glasses my son picked out were not compatible with his prescription. So she tells him to pick out another pair. These ones, once again, not compatible. So instead of saying, let me show you some that will work. She sits there. So I say, are you going to give him suggestions? Her co workers says yes and he helps him. She then tells me that my insurance company is closed because they are on the East Coast. Okay, I get that. She promises to call or have someone call me back the next day so they can verify. Next day, 4:25 no call. I call. And was told, no one could get to calling for approval today because they were so very busy and that they would call me back. I said today? An hour and a half later.....I get told that the insurance company is once again closed and no authorization could be made. He then tells me that I will have to wait until Monday to get the authorization because they are closed on weekends. I said, can you promise me that you are going to call me Monday and I won't have to call you? And he says, no, because we could be busy again and I might not be able to call you again. ‍ I then proceed to tell him that this customer service is the worst ever. And basically asked him how long it would take to get my glasses and he said 14 days. So I got to wait for you to call me because you may be "busy" and then wait another 2 weeks for my order. Nope. Called the Wilsonville location and explained my frustration. She advised me that my insurance company is open on Saturday. Once again, if I could go with no stars, I would have. Time for a change in the work force at the Washington Square location, VisionWorks. read more

I have zero knowledge of VISIONWORKS, went there to try on a favorite brand of frames. The old crone watched over us and grilled us with questions and was totally rude answering questions I had about the VISIONWORKS COMPANY. I like the variety of VISIONWORKS but I will never go back to this location because of the old long haired hag that volunteers here, there is no way she is on VISIONWORKS payroll and if she is , she should be let go. read more

The staff is very nice and their selection of glasses is unmatched and huge and also competitively priced. That said, I had my lenses made 3 different times and each time they came back with a flaw and had to be sent back to the lab to be re-done, each time for 7-10 days. Once they just polished them and just said they were re-done. Therefore it took about 3 weeks before I finally took my frames somewhere else to get them done. read more

I was at Vision Works on Saturday. First, I called to ask if they could fill my eye glass prescription which was 15 months old. They said yes, and just come in and they would help me. I forgot my glasses at home so I just needed a pair for a comprehensive eye exam at OHSU on Monday. When I arrived they showed me my choices, discussed my prescription and wrote my order. A few minutes later the Optician came out and told me he couldn't fill my prescription because it was over one year old. I told him that the law was two years for eye glasses. He argued with me, so I left. What a waste of an hour!! I walked down the mall to Lens Crafters and they told me a eye prescription is good for two years and they gladly made my glasses. At my appointment at OHSU I asked the Opthamologist about the prescription and she told me it was good for two years!!! You would think that a business that makes glasses all day long would know the laws!! What kind of a an unprofessional company is this. And not only were they unprofessional, but the person at the counter didn't seem to know what he was doing. I think they need to train their employees and get a lawyer to help them with the legal aspects of there business. Go somewhere else!! Not sure how to send you a private message. Not thrilled with this place. My prescription has to be ordered (it takes ten days) and that's fine. When I got my glasses I noticed the anti reflective lenses seemed different on each side. One lens was reflecting purple and one was reflecting green. So I brought them in and an employee said it looked like they had used two different types of AR lenses and he would order them again so they would match. I would get a call in ten days. More than two weeks later, I called to ask if they were in yet. They hadn't called me because no one had actually ordered my lenses. "Would you like me to put your order in again?" Yes. Yes, I would. Chris was very helpful and polite and even though my glasses were not made at Visionworks , he was willing to have a look at them. Last night, I accidentally sat on my glasses and completely broke them. They were (barely) being held together with duct tape and I needed to get a replacement fast. I went to Visionworks and Kevin helped me out. He was really patient with the many questions that I had and was very courteous despite it being a kind of complicated transaction. In the end, he found some frames that were on display that not only fit my existing lenses, but these frames looked better than the ones I had already picked out. This way, I didn't have to wait for the new lenses to come in. AND, with the Buy One Get One deal Visionworks had going, I could buy myself a back-up pair for no cost! Awful experience. I've shopped at several VisionWorks over many years in multiple states and this location, by far, is the worst. The optometrist was great, but the experience with my glasses was really terrible. When I came back because I was unhappy with my glasses, the store manager said that I can't just keep swapping them out, but that he would make an exception for me this time, even though the VisionWorks website is quite clear about their return policy and customer satisfaction. This place was the worst experience of my life at any place. At one point during this appointment I thought it was literally a joke, like I was being Punk'd. I have a list of things, sorry for this long rant but I've had this information for years and it is just hysterically terrible what they did so I thought its time to just put it out there. This was a couple years ago and I've never been back and I never will but maybe times have changed.... I hope. -I had to give them my insurance information 3 times several hours apart. -The doctor told me to go sit in a chair around the corner. Another worker came around the corner and asked me to have a seat at the front desk area. My doctor came back and told me to come with her back around the corner again and she told the other worker that she wanted me to sit in a chair that now a little boy was sitting in. The other worker then said I can sit in the chair next to this little boy who was a stranger. -People literally walked in to the room multiple times during my eye exam to speak to the doctor about "When can Susan go on her lunch break?" and "When will this room be ready for the next patient?" And the doctor responded like it was totally normal to have her patients in a dark room, examining their eyes, and have people come in and ask questions. -The receptionist must have been having the worst day of her life or something. Her customer service skills were so bad I have no idea how she even got a job. She was short with me and seemed irritated the seconded I walked up. -The receptionist was the one who had to help me try on contacts for my FIRST TIME, whoo hoo, she said I could look around at the glasses and she'll be right back out to get me. took me like 10 minuets to look at all the glasses, so I sat back down at the front desk area. she left me sitting at the front desk for 30 minutes after I looked at the glasses till I decided to walk around the corner to see if we could get started and she was on her cell phone, aggressively talking to what sounded like was her boyfriend. As soon as I walked up she hung up her phone and sat down at the table, I assumed that meant we we're going to get started so I sat down too. she pulled out my prescription in contacts and said "I was on my lunch" without looking at me. I said sorry but that didn't seem to help her attitude. I was actually looking around for cameras at this point to see if I was being punk'd -She was not patient, friendly, nice, encouraging with me trying to put contacts on my first time. She was the opposite type of person to help someone try on contacts. Every time the contact didn't stay on my eye she seemed to get more and more frustrated. -When we were done I followed her out of the room to the front desk area and she pointed to on the chairs and said to me "sit down". -At the end they charged me for something I didn't receive and the same receptionist, mentioned many times, had to pull out a book on how to undo a charge. -This whole process took probably about 2-3 hours, even with a pre made appointment, no joke. read more

I'm writing this review about our amazing visit to this location. Last year my wife got a pair of glasses from a Visionworks competitor and has been unhappy ever since. After hearing her talk fondly about her old frames she got at Visionworks I decided to urge her to go back and see if they still had the frames she liked so much. We went to this location and were immediately helped by a gentleman named Naveed. Naveed is the epitome of great customer service and deserves to be recognized for his outstanding commitment to his customers. When my wife explained she wanted to get the same frames she had gotten from them 7 years ago, Naveed was eager to help. The frames have been discontinued but Naveed decided to take the time to look in-store. When he couldn't find them he took the extra step to call around and track down the frames. He ended finding the only pair left in the company located in Virginia! He called the store and is having the frames shipped to this location. He then carefully explained the lens options currently available. He wanted to make sure she got what she needed and didn't try to sell her lens treatments she didn't want or need. Going forward we will always go to this location and request Naveed. read more
