Is the Optician racist? This was the only takeaway I had walking away from this experience. Not to mention the awkward front desk situation. They have two front desk people, when you are talking to one, the other front desk person just stare at you the whole time. I felt so insulted and racially profiled that I asked my husband to call and cancel my lenses with them. Also, how are lenses $240 after insurance?!!! While I respect keeping dangerous people off the road, they refused to offer a prescription to meet the requirements. After meeting with the surgical team, i was told a prescription would be fine as I did meet and pass the states requirement, but a prescription would be helpful for my vision until such time surgery is scheduled and repairs my vision. I then went back to Coal Creek Family Vision, scheduled an appointment for prescription the next day... They refused to see me at my scheduled time as they were reviewing my information. I was then told a different Doctor would be taking over... it has now been about a month and no communication from them, but they did bill me and my insurance... I would not recommend them and found the manner in which they handled a sensitive matter at a stressful time to be less than desirable.

The eye exam visit was decent (wait times, interactions standard) While not particularly warm and welcoming. First thing they asked me to do was to take out my current contacts. I went through the entire appt and conversations without being able to see anyone's faces. The exam was complete and I went to pay an additional money owed for co pay as well as additional box of contacts. They have to be ordered due to my prescription level and it's always taken 1-2 wks. 4 weeks later - May 2025, I kept checking my mailbox for my new contacts and they hadn't arrived. I called LensCrafters and was placed on hold for over 10 minutes. 6 weeks later - End of May 2025, I call back and reach an employee who casually states "your contact order for the brand you chose doesn't come in your prescription". I asked why nobody has called me to inform me my order never went through. "I don't know but you can come in and ask". Wow. So... 6 weeks and no order was ever placed? I've been wearing the same prescription in my preferred brand for years. 6 weeks and they didn't even call me to let me know? I paid in advance. 8 weeks later, June 20 2025 I went back in to LensCrafters. Apparently everyone goes to lunch at the same time so i had to wait until 2pm when they re-opened.
