I did not want to dilate my eyes so they had an option for a picture scan of my eyes and it was such a cool experience! They have a wide range of glasses brands to choose from (high end to standard) The office staff were so friendly when I checked in and had my appointment ready and set for the doctors I did have to fill out my general information before the appointment. Overall experience: eye exam competed, I felt the doctor knew exactly what he was talking about and gave me great information about my prescription, staff was helpful and nice.

I ordered a pair of glasses and was told they would be ready in two weeks. After waiting three weeks, I had to call because no one contacted me. That's when I was told my glasses had been lost in the warehouse. I was told someone would get back to me with an update. No one ever did. I called again and spoke directly with the office manager. I explained how frustrating the situation had been and asked if they could offer any type of discount or courtesy because of the inconvenience. Her response was essentially that there was nothing they could do and that I should just come in and pick up my refund. When I arrived at the office, I wasn't greeted with an apology. No one said, "We're sorry for the inconvenience," or acknowledged the frustration this caused. After more than five years as a loyal customer, that lack of basic customer service was incredibly disappointing. Mistakes happen. Losing an order can happen. But failing to communicate, failing to follow up, showing no empathy, and making no effort to make things right is unacceptable. This experience made it clear that customer loyalty means very little to this office. I have taken my business elsewhere and will never return. I cannot recommend this office based on the way I was treated.

So I evaluated all of the optometrists within 20 miles of Chino Hills/Diamond Bar. I settled on Dr. Hoshi, who, it turns out, was taught by the UCLA optometrist who did right by me for 30 years. Amazing. I went to see her, she got my refraction correct, and she didn't charge me much. So Dr. Hoshi gets my recommendation, and anyone who makes an 83 year old financial trial lawyer who was very skilled in getting $1,000 an hour for being nasty and made him happy must be doing something really impressive.
