I brought in my own frames I wanted to put my prescription lens in and they did it within a week, contacts ready in less then a week. Ugh! I miss doctor morris. He fully retired so now I think I'm retiring from chino optometry as well. I saw a different doc this time and he's fairly new. Their prices are extremely high for glasses, their staff is very rude and to top it off I went in for an eye exam and it took almost 2 months to get my glasses when it used to take 2 weeks max before. I've been going here since I was 14 and now I'm 28. Never had a bad experience . I was in and out within about 40 mins or so . Jessica and the optometrists are super sweet. Anh Hinh did my eye exam and was super patient , kind and compassionate. She listened to all my questions and was very informative , knowledgeable as well. Jessica helped with my insurance questions and helping me select a pair of glasses that were covered by my insurance. I also saw them being so kind and accommodating to another patient who had cerebral palsy. To me that spoke volumes about how they conduct themselves and value the needs of all different patients. The service by the worthless people in the front does not deserve even a one star. Starting from the younger girls to the older white lady who have no people skills, are clueless about assisting patients in a professional manner. They are plain rude and disrespectful. The look on their face when you walk in is as if you are waking into their property showing you are not welcome. Thanks to us "the patients" , they have a job they need to survive. Staff was attentive and such an enormous selection of eyewear. Couldn't decide, but that was a good thing.

The first appointment went smoothly. However, the glasses I ordered came in broken and no one from the office contacted me to let me know. I then called back again over a week later and was told they were on lunch and could not give me an update. Just called back again today and the glasses are in! They have no appointments available until next week. I was placed on hold so they could check for an afternoon appointment. I was left on hold for 15 minutes, I finally hung up and called back. Claudia answered my call as I explained to her what happened no apologies just oh well, I don't know what happened. but they did book me appointment and just didn't come back on the line to let me know the time or date. We have been going here for about 20 years. Dr. Morris and the lady in the back that orders your glasses are super nice and professional. However, the front office staff even the manager have been rude. We were there today to pick up glasses and my husband had questions on taking his old glasses and getting new lenses. And the receptionist slammed his chart closed and said he had to make an appt. RUDE..i noticed another patient waiting for the lady in the back and another family (no appt) and got called back in minutes. Last time going here. Tired of being treating that our business is nothing and they are better then all. I think there Corporate office needs to really do some cleaning house. read more

I do love coming here at Chino Optometry Center. Actually, my whole family likes coming here. Dr. Hinh is so nice and really takes care of you. She explains everything to you and she's very thorough and approachable. Dr. Hinh.is so knowledgeable and you wont be scared to ask a lot of questions concerning your eyes. Arlene recommends what is best and looks good you. She has a good rapport with all of their Customers and patients. She shows you all of the glasses and a lot of options to chose.She doesn't rush you on picking your glasses. Stella, the Office Manager is so friendly and everybody in here are nice! I had my appointment for a month. I called the front desk as the door is locked and says no walk ins, I gave my name and got an annoyed "Ok.... do you have an appointment" It was the start of exposure to a very uncourtesy support staff. While I understand that the machines are not made with masks in mind, anti-fog solution could help. Not telling the patient to lower a mask below the nostrils, which is not recommended by the CDC. Also stated, "It's going to be one of those days." Is not something a patient wants to hear the support staff telling each other. After I got my prescription I was constantly being told how bad my eye sight. I am 33 years old I KNOW how bad my eye sight is. I do not need to be told by EVERY staff member my restrictions in purchases due to my vision. It is also very disheartening to have found 2 attractive frames while I was waiting to be helped and one conservative one only to have the conservative one taken away, because of my "high prescription". and being told "Yeah.. we are going to have to go ultra thin because..." I just said I'm aware... This experience was only followed by another support staff informing me that they would have to order the lens, which I was already familiar with because of my "high prescription" There I needed to schedule a follow up, but at this point I was more self-conscience about my eye sight than usual and just wanted out. read more

Not surprised this place has 3 stars! In the fall I contacted them regarding my 3 kids that need eye exams. They all qualified. The day before the appointment I get a call that they DO NOT qualify. Front desk are the rudest people you will come across. Last week came over as walk in but was greeted with rude reception by the staff. They don't smile and bad customer service. Today I called if they have opening and was answered no and I can tell the lady who answered the phone has no customer service training. The recetionist there treated my senior disabled mother terrible. My mother arrived 2 minutes late and she made her reschedule. She was very rude and would not listen to my mother. My mother found a new optometrist. That receptionist was arguing with the customer before me and he also stormed out because of her customer service. My mother felt discrimated against. We filed a grievance with our insurance because it is not okay to treat people that way. read more

I have been enjoying the services of Chino optometry for several years there is one person who really sticks out. Her name is Jessica Rosales she is there optometric technician. She really gets to know the customers .The reason I know is she has been able to pick out eyeglass frames for me without me being present that's the sweet part, and they are always perfect to my specifications always. She's very patient with me. I'm a senior and that is very important to seniors to have someone who is patient with them.She does not push any products off on me and will explain all of the merchandise to me that I am interested in and sees to it that I get exactly what I came to the center to purchase. Terrible customer service. The appointments for eye exams are like a month out. Even calling them is bad. They placed me on hold for over 5 mins, didn't check back on me, and ended hanging up on me. I called upset and the same person answered. She offered no apology after I told her what happened. I understand being cautious regarding COVID-19 but these people take it to a whole new level. The doors are locked and you must call for them to let you in. You have to make an appointment to pick up glasses. You can't go in with someone to see glasses, even if the other person is masked and related to you. Give me a break. I went to pick up my glasses (by appointment) and wanted to leave my current glasses to replace the lenses with the new prescription and the lady said she couldn't accept them. How hard is it to apply the same prescription and charge me? She knew I was upset but couldn't care less. I'll be taking my business elsewhere! read more

Really bad customer service in this optometrist office especially in the front desk and phones, I stopped by to drop off broken glasses for repair since there under warranty and they would not let me in the office,?I had to make an appointment while waiting outside the office over the phone to come back, we'll when I came back they turned me away because they were at lunch but yet I was on time for the scheduled appointment and they again would not let me in just to drop off my glasses. I moved to Chino a little over a year ago and I'm slowly move my medical and eyeglass needs over to this side of town, but businesses like this deter you from doing so. I spent over $250.00 on contacts and the clerk would NOT give me any eye solutions for free..... what I told her I always buy my contacts here and I get solution for free and again she said NO! She said it's only for people who are getting trial contacts so from my understanding if you buy contacts from them and there not trial contacts you get punished by not getting any solution. Nothing really special about this place. Rude customer facing staff and clueless office manager. Too many top shelf Optometry Centers in the area to tolerate bad service. This dump keeps the front door locked like the place is a bank and they're very petty to charge for eyeglass cases when I spent $300 for new lenses. And that cost was after 2 VSP insurance coverages. I'm puzzled why the optometrist would allow staff employees to ruin the practice? A smile and a thank you for choosing our practice doesn't cost a thing. The optometrists at Chino Optometry Center have a lot of experience. I have had three different doctors, and each of them have been thorough, patient, and their diagnosis have been excellent. In regards to the framing and glasses selection area, it has not changed for years. It looks outdated, and the owners should consider remodeling. It reminds of those offices that maintain signs and advertisements from many years ago. The framing consultants are friendly and helpful. In regards to the front counter staff, they have been cordial but not overfriendly. They need to remember that customers pay a significant amount of money (either cash, or by way of our paid insurance) for the services we receive. Took my family here today and the staff was quite friendly and helpful. I followed Dr McCoy as a patient from south OC as his prescriptions are that good! He uses traditional methods of optometry rather than a machine. I had to goto another optometry place last year because of my insurance that used a machine for my RX and I had headaches from them. Dr McCoy fixed up my old glasses and vision is so much better and no headaches! Many thanks to him! read more

I've been coming to this Eye doctor for about 20 years and they have always had a great selection of sunglasses as well as vision glasses! I love that the ladies walk around handing out roses. Dr Morris is awesome and Dr Hin, whom I just met today is a great listener and explains everything very thoroughly! I also love that I am acknowledged by the ladies in the front office everytime I come in. I come to adjust glasses and they buzz me right in. I have been coming to this place for 12 years, now I only come here it out of convenience. The doctors are always great every year I come for my exams, but the girls they have behind the counter are rude! I walked in today and waited at the counter for at least 7 mins while 4 girls behind the counter didn't even acknowledge that I was there. Then it was like an inconvenience for her to get my husbands contacts, that by the way I'm paying for! Hum... then I went to the back to see about getting my glasses adjusted, the lady back there was alone and had 3 people waiting. But she was still respectful enough to ask me if I needed help and that she would get to me as soon as she could!
