I walked into this optical store today and wasn't greeted at all--no "hi," no "welcome," nothing. The staff saw me, but I still had to get their attention, even though there was only one other customer in the store. When someone finally approached me, there was still no greeting--just "Can I help you?" said in a very curt tone. I explained that I only needed to replace some lenses. She immediately asked if I had a prescription and, even after I told her it was just for reading, she insisted--very rudely--that I still needed one. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unfriendly, as if I were inconveniencing them. I ended the conversation by saying, "Okay, thanks, bye," because there was no reason to waste any more time there. Customer service was completely lacking. A simple greeting and a respectful tone go a long way, but unfortunately, this place had neither. I'd rather spend my money somewhere like CVS, where you can purchase reading lenses without needing a prescription. read more

Extremely unorganized set up. This location NEEDS an employee dedicated to being a receptionist. No clear signage of where to check in and you could stand in front of an employees desk for 10 minutes and not be acknowledged. No seating for patients waiting. The only seats are at the glass cases for glasses, where techs are assisting hoards of people and their guests with choosing glasses and chatting. This also doubles as the check in area, and again, you will not be acknowledged unless you elbow your way to stand in front of an employee and ask to check in. Once you manage to do this, you will be asked to wait to be called. Where do you wait? Anywhere, as advised. By the way, it is first come first served, no matter your appointment time, if someone else manages to check in first they will be seen before you. The three initial tests are right next to the glasses cases and hoards of people, so you can expect to be back to back with people and children seated, getting bumped by them AND people trying to walk through. Never mind that you have to move between three machines, there is no room to move your chair so you have to hunch over the chairs to move around. Once you get that over with, you once again wait anywhere for the doctor to call you and then you will finally be in a private 1 on 1 room. Terrible experience. read more

When I went back and said that I was having headaches and that I thought it was too strong, they said I had to get used to it. Great local place to get my eyes checked! Office was a bit outdated but the technology that was in the office was what seemed like state of the art. I did not want to dilate my eyes so they had an option for a picture scan of my eyes and it was such a cool experience! They have a wide range of glasses brands to choose from (high end to standard) The office staff were so friendly when I checked in and had my appointment ready and set for the doctors I did have to fill out my general information before the appointment. Overall experience: eye exam competed, I felt the doctor knew exactly what he was talking about and gave me great information about my prescription, staff was helpful and nice. read more

I am so very disappointed in the woman who makes the decisions in the front! I have been a loyal client since moving to CH. the Doctor is wonderful, really knows what he's doing! However this is the first time I'm so dissatisfied with the manager on the floor. I don't know her name, short hair, Asian woman. I already knew which glasses I wanted, I went in weeks before to pick and try on a variety. I had it written down on my chart so that when I went in for my exam, I would be ready to go. The store got a new shipment that happened to include the sunglasses I wanted but at an OVER $400 MARKUP! That's ridiculous, unacceptable and unprofessional! The girl helping me went to show her Nd the manager said the price I had was a mistake. I could hear her, right in front of me, it's not like they are in a closed door office! I was livid! I showed her my picture as proof and she refused. So I walked out and sadly I won't go back! They are price gouging their clients unnecessarily!!! I went in with my wife about a week ago and overall I would give it three stars. Although I really liked the doctor my wife saw, everything else lacked professionalism. I saw the medical assistants on their phones, patient information can be seen from any angle, and everything was just so close together that you felt like sardines. The office was confused about an order in which they allowed me to pick up my glasses despite not telling me that I had a balance. So they confused my credit card purchase with a card purchase. They had the nerve to contact my bank and say that I was confused despite us going to optometry twice just to fix this matter. It has gotten way out of hand by claiming confusion as the answer for their reason. But if they told me that I needed to pay $140 I would have paid for it when I picked it up, so it's their fault, and blame me for their mistake. I'm never going there again this is totally unprofessional and I have never had them talk the way they did to me before while I was at the location. Calling me confused is them not admitting that someone who works there has dropped the ball. I believe this is a target against me due to my skin color. I would not recommend this optometry store. The customer service was poor and product was sub-standard. The SPY frames I purchased broke 3 months after I purchased them and the progressive lenses scratched despite being told they were scratch resistant. Make sure you get a name of who makes the appointment for you. I made an appointment for myself and my fiancée and had them check our insurance to make sure we're both covered and they said we were. We get to our appointment and they tell us they do not except my fiancé's insurance. Wow... What a waste of time!! I certainly do not appreciate them making appointments for us and not even checking to see if they except our different insurances. Lying to a potential customer is not the way to go and Most certainly is not a professional. The are so busy in there and over crowded, they most certainly are not following the Covid guidelines. The staff is not up to par. The front receptionist with short dark hair is loud and highly unprofessional. Their place is very dusty, dirty and the display cases are a mess. They have nothing in order. If you go to the left desk as soon as you enter the front door there are piles and piles of unorganized eyeglass that are waiting to be picked up. We went here to have my nine year old daughter's glasses repaired. We were greeted by a friendly employee, Taylor. Unfortunately, for us, she said our issue had no solution. We thanked her and walked to our car. Before leaving our parking spot a different employee, Rosie, came to our car and asked to see the glasses. She gave us not one but TWO options to have them repaired !!! We agreed on one. She asked for thirty minutes- she kept her promise, thirty minutes later they were repaired and ready. Found this place on Yelp and glad I did. It's located next to Vons, unit #390, under the big sign saying "Optical". The doctor and staff are very helpful and efficient in what they do. Because I'm not yet eligible for contact lenses covered by VSP, they gave me 2 sample pairs, which I really appreciate! Appointments aren't necessary, but helpful if they're busy. When we picked up her glasses they tried to charge me a dispensing fee. There should never be a fee using vsp insurance. My daughter got her glasses and they hurt her eyes. She helped me turn my Gucci sunglasses into prescription glasses because my last pair got damaged. I went in the next day to get them adjusted and they adjusted them within 5 mins.
