I visited this Visionworks a few Sunday's ago while visiting from Atlanta. I needed to replace a contact and am already an established customer in GA. The only lady working was so flippant and dismissive that it made me reconsider Visionworks all together. It wasn't that she couldn't help due to the GA location being closed, it was her entire approach and attitude. I would NOT recommend this location at all. If the employees at my GA location had this approach towards customers, I would drop this company in a heartbeat. read more

I have called twice and emailed four times over the last two weeks trying to get my contacts prescription and it still has not been sent to me. The fact that I ended up at this particular VisionWorks was a total chance; I had my original appointment scheduled at another establishment in Flatirons Mall for late morning, but arrived to find that my insurance plan was no longer accepted. After being directed to VisionWorks, I walked in to find an empty waiting room, and was promptly greeted by a gentleman at the front desk. I explained my situation, filled out the typical new patient paperwork, and was told that I could be seen immediately... which was a complete surprise; I've never been able to walk in to an appointment like that before, so I was stoked to be able to get in right then and there. It was a short wait to allow him to process my paperwork and insurance, but I was then called back to complete some of the preliminary testing, and ended up waiting only a few more minutes after that to see the doctor. The doctor, Mara Walsh (I think this was her - I grabbed the name off a degree hanging from the wall in the small exam room), was absolutely wonderful. She was extremely pleasant, seemed very knowledgeable, and took the time to explain her process and the purpose behind each portion of the exam. She made me very comfortable throughout the entire visit, and we kept up a lighthearted conversation while she was working on making sure I was taken care of. I'd mentioned to her that I was planning to take a trip soon, and she offered extra trial pairs of contacts to hold me over while I was out of town, since I'd not be able to pick up my contact prescription before leaving. She also supplied me with a travel sized bottle of lens solution, and was able to have my prescription frames prepared for me within an hour so I was fully prepared with another option if I opted to wear glasses rather than contacts. When all was said and done, I ended up joining their 20/20 club, and received SO MANY benefits right away: my glasses were sold at a 60% discount, I received $50 off a pair of sunglasses of my choice, and I was given a lens cleaning kit for free. With all these add-ons, my final total was a little under $300... that may seem pricey, but that's for an entire year's supply of contacts, a new (and super rad!) pair of frames, brand name sunglasses, a cleaning kit, and the contact lens exam/fitting. The price for a supply of contacts and the exam/fitting alone that I paid during my previous visit to the other business was nearly $225, so I got totally hooked up! I'd definitely recommend this location to anyone in need of an optometrist! Parking is plentiful, as it's located on mall property, and the store is relatively easy to find once you're inside. It's super convenient for me, and I won't hesitate to return for me next checkup. read more

My wife and I both got eyeglasses and sunglasses here since they had a great sale. Her glasses were fine. One of my lens wasn't cut correctly so it had bent the frame. I returned them and got them redone to include a new frame. Both of our sunglasses came back way too light. We were shown the darkness that we would be receiving and neither of our glasses were even close. My wife's lens were dipped and they were the proper shade. They attempted to dip my lens and got them too dark (according to their standards which I concur with, I could barely see the speedometer in my car with them on), so they reordered them. Again what I received was too light. The clerk behind the desk couldn't understand the darkness we had ordered despite showing him their in-house sample the darkness I wanted. I wore them out of the store, but they still need to be darker. I'll likely take them to another Visionworks to get them looked at. read more

That atmosphere is super chill. Dr Walsh was great and super insightful. She took the time to explain different contacts and what would work best for me. The associates helped me pick out glasses without being pushy and overbearing, but where always available when I had questions. If they don't know something about insurance they spend the time to research and make sure I'm getting the best deal. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Not a happy customer. Went to have my frame adjusted just after having bought my glasses two weeks prior. The guy took out both lenses (to adjust the frame) and literally dropped on top of the counter without any regard. At first I though it must not matter, but then I looked at them before leaving the mall and sure enough, there was a huge scratch on one of the lenses. I went back and told the guy and he said "yeah, I probably did" (?) The frame was then sent to Westminster for new lenses, but the Flatirons location sent the wrong prescription, so I'm waiting another two weeks. Susan waited on us and was very helpful, and he was able to get a full refund and another pair that worked out better. Many thanks for taking good care of him. Glasses were done in three hours. Also, thanks to Randy for making sure they fit right when we came back. He also put on new pads on his old set. I have been coming to this Visionworks for 2 years now. Normally I would give this place a 3 or 4 stars but the Dr. and Susan always far exceed my expectations which is why it gets 5 stars. At times this location can seem very busy and disorganized with some new people working up front...but they are always working hard to accommodate several walk ins. I am a college student and don't always have extra money for new contacts or glasses and my insurance only covers a certain amount. Susan kindly works very hard so I can get nice glasses in my price range and is great with getting information from my insurance company. The Dr. herself is also very kind and considerate when it comes to minimizing costs. These 2 individuals are very attentive to everyone's needs and are just wonderful people providing great service. So if it's busy when you step in the store, take a breath and give them a chance! when it is finally is your turn you will receive great quality service at a great price :) read more

Purchased a pair of glasses. I thought they had a good selection and the Staff was very nice and helpful. Price was OK along the same the lines as the other chain eye places. Crystal who waited on me was very friendly and the process to get everything done was pretty quick. I think they do up sell, but I think most places I've gone before do also. read more

We made an appointment today for my husband and myself. We both needed exams, glasses and sunglasses. We were finally called after 45 minutes. The entire staff was slow moving and lackadaisical. I'm pretty disappointed with this Visionworks. I don't think I've had to deal with a business as unprofessional as this. I originally called this location to inquire about getting more contacts. Last April, I had gotten contacts from a Visionworks in a different state. I had a wonderful experience with that Visionworks so I decided to stick with the company. I explained all of that to the young lady that answered the phone. She let me know that in order to get my prescription, she would need to call the other location and would call me back when it was recieved. I waited ALL DAY for a response. I still hadn't heard anything by 6:30 p.m. I decided to call them back instead. A different person was working this time and had no idea what I was talking about and put me on hold. After a couple of minutes, she came back on the phone and asked if I wanted to go ahead and order. It turned out that my insurance wasn't accepted there. The employee informed me that she would call the store I previously went to so that I could use my vision benefits. A couple days went by and I still didn't receive a call back. I left multiple voice mails and after a week, NEVER recieved a response. This is pretty unacceptable in my eyes. (No pun intended! Haha) In the end, I called the Visionworks in a different state myself. They ordered my contacts immediately and will be shipping them out today. It's pretty sad that I have to order contacts from a store 16+ hours away instead of the one 5 minutes from my house. I have never had such a pleasant, positive and attentive visit in my 18 years of wearing eyeglasses. Susan at front desk was present and anticipated my needs from the moment i walked in until i walked out. She was also very helpful in adjusting and customizing the price of my visit to work with my budget. The doctor was extremely nice, informative and clearly passionate about her job. I found a smile on my face the whole visit. I was able to pick up my new glasses on the 4th of july and enjoy the fireworks like never before. I can confidently say that not only will I continue my business there but I also plan on referring all of my friends to go visit visionworks and see for themselves. read more

Disgusting customer service. And I will never return to any location again. I went into this location and to see if there was an Optometrist on site that could answer a short question when availible. I wanted to ask a specialist because given the nature of my question there is no way a tyical associate could have answered it without medical training of some sort. When I asked this of the employee "Sean", he literally laughed at me and said, "Uh, not really." In short, he then preceeded to explain to me why asking if there was an Optometrist on site was a stupid question, and why they couldn't answer any question. He didn't even ask what my question was before saying this. This was in addition to his greeting being lethargic, and lacking in initiative. On top of those he was up-downing me in an incredibly rude manner during the enti re conversation. I may be young, but if this was my employee, I would not tolerate this behavior. Took a new glasses frame to this store to have lenses made and installed. Anyone there I dealt with was very nice and I was told supplying my own new frames was not a problem, which, as it turned out, was not. When receiving the completed glasses, I noticed a faint circle on one of the lenses, which upon seeing it herself, the store associate told me that it was caused from a clamp while cutting the lens and the lenses would have to be remade. The lenses were perfect in every other regard and they were cut perfectly to fit the frame. The associates were apologetic and quick to offer to remake them. When I picked the glasses up after having the lenses remade, I glanced quickly at the lens surfaces and they appeared free of marring. I kept them on and left the store. Upon closer examination after arriving at home, I noticed there was a gap between the frame and the left lens. It was poorly cut. It was cut straight where it should curve. The right was similar but not as bad nor bad enough to be an obvious gap. Luckily, I had requested to keep the first lenses so as not to waste them in case the lenses were ever damaged by dropping, etc. The first set had the ring on the right lens. The second set had the worst cut of the two on the left lens. I relaced the second left lens with the first and now the glasses are ok, just slightly flatter on the right side, and, since they are sunglasses, the miscut is more obvious. I don't like the result, but I'll live with it rather than chance another problem. Their people are nice, but in my experience with this Visionworks location, quality is a hit or miss proposition. read more

Just called this Visionworks to see when my prescription glasses would be ready for pick-up and the lady on the phone told me "I don't understand the question you are asking?) are you kidding me?!? I'm asking when my glasses will be ready for pick up? What don't you understand about that question? Then she tells me and I let her know that I may not be able to pick them up on that day and it might be a couple days after. This lady then tells me "it's not like we will throw them away"...... OKAY! I wasn't even thinking that and I was just informing you that it would be a later date. This lady was not only rude when she was speaking to me, she had No and I mean NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AT ALL. Disappointing because when I went and got all my stuff done (exam/order) done I was pretty happy with them. Not so much the price, but the other employees we great.
