The staff was so supportive and wonderful. I called and they said they could help. As soon as I arrived at the store they found samples of contacts that fit my prescription. This review will be similar to the one I wrote on Google. I just like yelp better for reviews. TL;DR Version - Awesome experience, will return again for all my eye-care needs. I felt at home, it was warm, kind, and respectful. They are my number 1 choice for eye care as long as I live in this area. Turn Around: My glasses arrived 5-7 days sooner than expected. ---- The long version ---- I posted my old glasses and new glasses. While I was getting by with my old pair, I could tell my eyes had changed and I needed an updated prescription. Not to mention I had to keep adjusting my head to see the screen every time I looked down because my lenses were too small for constant laptop use. Two years prior I had an exam at a location that didn't take my insurance for glasses and ended up at Pearle Vision to get my glasses. The service was pretty good, and the outcome was great. ---Note--- During my most recent visit, I was having a bad day, I had received some upsetting news that totally threw me. I was feeling a bit vulnerable and anxious but I had to push through to start my new glasses process ASAP. Despite my emotional state, I was treated with warmth, kindness, and respect( more on that later) During my most recent visit in mid to late October of 2019, I was told there had been a change in ownership. The results, state of the art technology that tested my eye pressure (my family has had Glaucoma) and took a picture of my eye without requiring dilation eye drops (HUGE plus). The eye exam was very personable / super friendly, easy, and relatively fast. Since I was a previous customer I'm sure it helped. What I loved: I wasn't upsold or pushed around. I was told all the options and how they would fit my needs (Blue Blockers for the computer work, Polarize, strong, and smudge resistant (aka super easy to clean with a soft cloth). Turn around time: I was told 7-10 business days for my glasses. I got a call that they arrived 3-4 days after my visit. WHOA? New vendor? It took me a while to get used to the new prescription as my eyes had adjusted to my old style, but since they did, my vision experience has been a dream. The frame choices were better than my old glasses and cheaper! I get a lot of compliments from my coworkers with the new look. They feel good and lenses are so clear I sometimes can't believe I'm wearing glasses. I would love to have remembered to take a picture of the place but I forgot. I felt at home, it was warm, kind, and respectful. They are my number 1 choice for eye care as long as I live in this area. read more

Regret going here - went in to switch from glasses to contacts full-time. Went through the exam (which they changed from my previous prescription). They ordered me contacts, and when I got them I had trouble seeing at the grocery store, at the computer, and a lot of other places. I called to try to figure out the situation and the gentleman on the phone didn't answer any of my questions, seeming only interested in getting me a different brand ordered ASAP, and not letting me talk to or see the optometrist. Told him my old daily contacts didn't have this issue, and he rushed to get those prescription numbers from me so he could just order that. Zero interest in actually tracking down the issue. Now I'm going somewhere else, because I don't want to have to fight to get staff to actually care, and my insurance of course has the yearly eye exam used so that'll be out of pocket. Love this Pearle Vision especially much. The staff, Adam and Marlene over the years have been professional and thorough. It was great seeing the rebates available for contact lenses and some of the promotions available for glasses (there is a lot to know!). My girlfriend saw Dr. Elmont last year for her annual eye exam and had nothing but positive things to say. She was fit into Dailies Total 1, and has been eye problem free. Dr. Lozano, for me recently was an equally positive experience. It was clear how much she cared and important eye health was (in addition to seeing clearly). Maybe one day I will be brave enough to put contact lenses on my eye...... Anyway, the location is easy to park at. There wasn't a waiting issue and they took my vision insurance (woo hoo), Spectera. read more

I primarily use this as my optical location for glasses and eye exams. Dr. Elmont is really great with her exams and I have always gotten my prescriptions done fast and accurately. The staff has been really nice to me and I haven't had any complaints yet regarding the service or products I have received. The exam rooms are kept in a state that I would expect being clean and organized and inside the store is always kept free of debris and clutter with everything in its proper place. Only real downside I have had sometimes is when having an appointment and showing up 15 minutes early, I have had to wait 15-20 minutes past my appointment time to get in to see the doctor. It didn't appear there was a patient in front of me, but alas is the joys of doctors in general I suppose. Overall though, this has become one of the best vision offices I have used in my time and I don't ever hesitate to come back for wellness checkups or new prescriptions. read more

Terrible customer service. Ordered contacts on Dec 12, 2016. I was told I would receive them within 7-10 business days. Never received them. Called them on Dec 30, 2016 and was told they were on back order and I would receive them with 3-5 business days and that they were shipped. Called today, Jan 9, 2017 and spoke to a non-caring snobby "store manager". It should not take close to a month to receive contacts. I have never had problems ordering contacts in the past. In addition, their revolving door of eye doctors is annoying. Guess you get what you pay for, might as well go to Walmart or one of those other super market eye doctor places. read more

i had a light prescription since a long time and i needed to change to 'everyday' glasses i guess my view changed since few years. They changed my prescription after a full exam. Few weeks after i received my new glasses, they made me 'reading glasses', i can't wear them, i came back to the store... they are still supposed to call me ! Never ever going back. Whilst the appointment I had for a contact lens prescription was fine and the optometrist even helped me obtain my new lenses for free due to the strength of my prescription, she was clearly not interested in discussing me getting higher prescription lenses than the mere -12 that I was ordered. My prescription is -16! -12 barely allows me to read this webpage. I don't like being dismissed by the people who are supposedly helping me with something as essential as my vision. Secondly, customer service is clearly something this office knows nothing about. For four months I tried contacting them with questions about my prescription and was utterly ignored. I tried the email address on their website only to be told that address does not answer customer questions about prescriptions. Then why on earth is the email on the website?! Despite leaving several messages on their voicemail (weird how no matter what time I called I got the voicemail) NOBODY ever bothered to return my calls. Not one person. When they emailed me a "reminder" about my next appointment I immediately wrote back and called to say Cancel this. Two hours later I got a call forms someone asking me to update my insurance information! When I pointed out I'd already left them two messages she literally said, "We've only just opened." They had been open 45 minutes. I don't consider that "only just." I would also have thought that business of this size would take the time to check all their messages BEFORE they start calling customers, but what do I know? I'm only the person they've completely ignored for half a year. I will never set foot in this store again and I will never use an Active Eyes company again. read more

My 17-year-old son went for a vision check there as our new insurance doesn't cover our eye doctor (envision boulder). They performed an unauthorized test that wasn't covered by the insurance. Nobody even bothered calling me to see if it was okay. Also, they told him that they were getting him a 6-month supply of contact lenses but he had $46 out of pocket. I called them back to change the order to not have anything out of pocket and they told me that he would get one less box and that would be 1.5-month supply. Then said the would gladly change the order, but in a rude voice tone, and credit the $46 back to his card. The credit was never made and I had to call again to be answered rudely and this time they asked for the car. 1. they performed a non-covered test without getting consent from an adult 2. they lied about the amount of contact being ordered 3. they were rude 4. had to call a second time to get the amount charged back to the card Very unprofessional and will never go there again. read more

We were in the store for over 20 minutes without being acknowledged by the staff. We continued to look at frames for another hour without hardly a glance from any of the employees. Dr. Elmont is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Her front desk staff is friendly and welcoming. They have updated machines and technology and I trust what they tell me to be truthful and they aren't just looking to "make a sale." They are sincerely nice and care about the work they do and most importantly the patients they see. read more

After living in Boulder for a few months the drier climate than I was used to was giving my eyes a hard time and I decided to visit the eye doctor for an update. I chose Dr. Deale(?) based on a recommendation from a colleague. Later realized it was purely because she thought he was cute. While I explained my extensive eye care history (been wearing glasses longer than I haven't), it was obvious he was not listening, completely changed my prescription (I know for a fact it shouldn't have changed as drastically as he suggested) and pushed Acuvue down my throat. I had used Acuvue for many years and found that I like AirOptix much better, but Pearle Vision does not carry AirOptix (probably the reason he changed my prescription). When I told him that I am happy with AirOptix because of the breathability he then suggested two week Acuvue. Dude! I said I don't like Acuvue! I walked out of there with no contacts and then when I submitted through 1800CONTACTS (they were also not happy to hear) they wrote he prescription for Acuvue. I actually had to beg the 1800CONTACTS people to fill my older prescription because I was unhappy with this eye doctor but needed my contacts. Unless you use Acuvue products, don't go here. read more

I am sure the glasses made here are fine, and the selection of frames is ok. But what really rubbed me the wrong way was that the optician quoted me a price that included anti reflective and polycarbonate lenses, which are optional, without asking me if I wanted them. That bumped up the cost of the glasses by $150. When I asked to remove them, the language she used just made me uncomfortable. In the end I just did not trust her, and walked out. read more

Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE ELSE for any of your eye care needs. The staff was insanely rude and condescending. I've never received worse customer service. I went in to learn about a new contact brand since my brand has been getting really dry, and they treated me like I was asking some ridiculous task. They made me wait for 10 minuets (even though the store was EMPTY--They obviously don't do a lot of business... and now I know why), didn't help me even when I explained all I wanted was some information, and treated me rudely from the second I walked in. I was sure to leave as soon as possible, and I'll be sure to never visit or buy from them again. read more

Fantastic customer service. When my glasses truly did not fit right they let me exchange for another pair!

The optometrist was good but Pearle Vision itself was poor. They were paid by a third party and it took months for them to get the glasses done because they kept screwing up the billing. They were sent a check and they alleged they did not get it for several weeks, although I got confirmation it was sent and they did indeed have it. They were very irresponsible, blaming the third party and not willing to do anything to get the matter resolved promptly even though I told them repeatedly the glasses I had were scratched up and were hurting my eyes. No concern of any kind was shown for the customer or the discomfort and pain their needless and irresponsible delays were causing. It was months between the time I saw the optometrist and finally got the glasses. When I did finally get them I had some concerns about them and they responded by treated me in an invalidating and belligerent manner. They made no effort to adjust the glasses or show any concern about how they sat on my face as well. Overall, a very bad experience and definitely do NOT recommend. I will never go to them for any reason ever again. read more
